Awesome video! Way to drill the rep with the trailer. Seeing the belt bubble up when dumping the rock and seeing how it works in real world applications, sounded like a good concept until I saw running, not impressed for what we do but maybe a small landscape company would benefit. Thanks again Stan you're the best👌
Remember the days before dump trailers. One year we bought a device called the load handler,it mounted on your tailgate and the crankable tarp went up your truck bed! We delivered over 400 yards of mulch the summer with 2 of them, amazing how things have changed!
Great video Stanley.👍👍 I can definitely see firewood delivery off that trailer, backed into a low headroom garage. That's one thing a dump trailer can't do!
@@charlesboston1 You may have a point there. I know Stanley doesn't really mess with firewood. But it would have been nice to see that included in the video.
@@workingmanrondoyle3287 so what i'm thinking for firewood is a dump trailer with uhmw on the floor , and possibly having the front wall "live" , meaning it can push the load backwards towards the rear and off
@@charlesboston1 I've seen those in a semi trailer before. There's a mulch business near me that has some. They've had more problems from them. They switched to a walking plank floor system. It made of aluminum planks that raise and lower as it shuffles back and forth.

Hey Stan, just a quick note about the diesel shortage… The typical supply just so you know is anywhere between 35 and 45 days diesel supply stored on US soil. This is not take into account the constant distilling process of creating new diesel, along with imports. So I guess you could say in a situation where there is a massive global economic shut down, with no trade between any countries whatsoever, we would run out of diesel in 25 days. Other than that, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Additionally, if that situation occurs, I don’t think you’ll be worried about putting diesel in your plow truck. I just grabbed a high output ram 3500 for plowing and it is NIGHT AND DAY from the 6.7L standard output I had. If I were you, I would get both out on the road and see if you can get a trailer behind it. You’re more than welcome to try mine, I’m just a few hours north😅
Interesting trailer. The problem I see is hauling aggregates is the belt gap at the rear spilling while driving on the highway. And it won’t pile as well as a normal dump trailer.
Yeah, thanks, we are playing with that right now and have a couple customers that have already installed a little solar panel on top of the tarping system and it works great!
Two things. Two separate materials use a tarp or blanket to separate the material. Dose the trailer lift up like the ant trailer so you can make a larger pile?
For the Minnesota climate, this would be a nightmare in the winter. If the bed is wet or you had snow in there and froze you'd have a lot of problems unless there is a solution for that. We use our 14K, 14 yd. dump trailer for dumping trash and it freezes up all the time when we are at the landfill from snow melting and freezing or rain freezing. We've had to salt the bed after each dump in order for the load to slide out without having to hand unload, which just destroys the trailer. The only other solution would be to lining the bottom with a plastic liner or getting an aluminum dump trailer which we can salt. I can't see a conveyor belt not freezing to the frame. Just my thoughts and maybe they have an answer for that. Let me know.
That looks like a pretty nice tarp system on there. If you had a camera on the corner of the tarp system that you could extend up for them high rollers you could do everything without getting out of the cab. But that's a good description pretty much a manure spreader and a dump truck LOL very cool though happy holidays my brother I've been benge watching your videos Man 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎👊🏼💨💥
What happens when they give you a busted up pallet with nails sticking out of the bottom? There’s no way that chain drive holds up or doesn’t get clogged with regular use. One load of mulch is going to cause problems.
Use a deep cycle battery from battery's plus. I believe the name of the battery is x5. It has a 5 year no nonsense warranty. CCA is more then 1000k. I know thats important, becouse I bought 4 of them for my tractor. (Class 8) so running this trailer would be wonderful
Great questions, we have had some of these trailers in service since 2016, and we have parts on hand that we can usually ship within a couple of days all over the US.
He just showed how much space is required to off load three pallets and it seems a bit extreme. If you consider the length from the front of the truck to the rear of the trailer, then add in the distance where the pallets ended up, it's quite a distance. This would be ideal for large construction sites that have the space for loading and unloading cargo but we all know construction sites are pretty tight with limited space. Just thinking out loud.
Like thats there's no questions that you don't ask the good the bad and the ugly and you don't hesitate to have them backup their equipment or products.
Let's say I wanted to use it for backyard clean-outs and haul scrap cars and metal, what is the tear resistance on the belt and is it warranted for any of that kind of use?
The belt has been used in the Ag industry for decades. We have some companies that have been using this belted system for over 3 years now without any tears or rips!
its a cool idea. idk about 30k you can get 3 normal trailers for that price. the kick plates really get in the way too. maybe as an improvement in design they can make those fold out of the way or removeable.
i nearly bought one of these last year, but ultimately decided to purchase a dump trailer and cargo trailer for half the price. The trailer is awesome but it was hard to buy 1 trailer for the cost of 3 or 4.
Just so you know the 25 days of deisel left is just storage. That’d be how long it lasts if everybody stopped producing deisel which isn’t going to happen
Hi Stan and the Dirt Monkeys Force lot's to think about, that would be one too put head to Head comparison against the Ant . As always good luck and God Bless.
Stan seems like a suppy yard for smaller deliveries would be very handy I would destroy it within a few months. Also I would think that single beam instead of a frame may be a problem due to flexing when loaded. I love my duramax
I think the one issue these small guys have is warranty. They can give you all the warranty they want, but if they are out of business, it does not help. And these small trailer folks stop operating or move on all the time.
could i buy a belt and drive system to reto fit or diy my own set up. I could do a lot of good with a trailer like that. Just not enough to justify 25k.
Stan I need help finding a flatbed company. My cousin told me about it but he can't remember where they make them. Hi Stan, love the trailer it is just an amazing piece of equipment. You said that you might be looking for a new vehicle? I know I'm going to get a lot of ridicule for saying this but might you consider electric as your next vehicle choice. You would be the one that I would expect to test that vehicle beyond its normal limits. And if it goes past your tests would that change other people's minds as well. You yourself just said there is a limited amount of diesel fuel available for the next few days however long it was. Yes I know gas is a decent alternative fuel supply but eventually electric will have to be a suitable substitute. Just my thoughts. Hope you and yours have a very merry Christmas. God bless, go get some!
It actually has a built-in clean out section in the belt. Two sections are missing intentionally. That way if any material does work its way underneath. it will automatically get pushed out the next time the belt goes around.
We have 9 months of Diesel. It's only 25 days if all production of Diesel stopped, which isn't going to happen. The bigger problem is going to be the price of Diesel when they stop having gas demand, prices of all petroleum is going to skyrocket when that happens. We are 20 years away from that though, EVs can't be used in business situations. I'm guessing a few sharp rocks stuck against that belt will rip it apart.
