What a great piece of equipment. You could put delrin or UHMW blocks under those dog ears pretty easy and a chain oiler without much trouble. The utility of rolling off the two kinds of loose material without mixing is great. That tall stack with the kneeling thing is pretty cool too.
@@jamesnm21 you missed the point. Sure you can load any trailer with as many materials as you like, but you'll be shoveling them off, because you won't be able to offload them without them mixing.

Brilliant, thinking back on how many trailers of that size I have loaded/unloaded with a shovel working for a gardener in my youth, not kidding. 40 years later and a busted back, no wonder.
I got a 16 ft flatbed with my tlb and I've actually towed the trailer across state and back. Like you mentioned, smooth ride and barely know it's there is the best thing ever with a trailer.
Hi Stan, This trailer is awesome, What can be done to prevent the marring or gouging of pavement or concrete surfaces, is to place skid plates below those dog ears, made of the same material you have on the bottom of your snow plows. Make it to be replaced as needed just like the snow plows ensuring no metal comes into contact with pavement or concrete surfaces.
I delivered bundles of newspapers for years and this is exactly what I wanted to make in a box truck version. Everyone told me it was a stupid idea, but they weren't the one on their knees in the back of a van stacking papers.
They actually make a unit (not this company) that installs in the bed of a pick up truck and hand cranks out of the bed. I used one once on a trial for stone and it worked pretty good for a cheap lazy mans way to unload stone....lol
i like this trailer, good idea, i doubt it does everything but it does more than a normal trailer for sure, i would buy one if i were in the right field of work, it seems like they have the consumer in mind with this trailer for sure. i say go for it. you'll for sure find a use for it, i know i would, i can already see some uses
Great trailer Stan, a nice tool added to your machinery equipment. I remember when you first showed this trailer and thought then wow, makes jobs so much faster, easier and safely.

Great trailer, solves a lot of issues. The only issue would be to drop a load behind that push ramp, and it would take a while to clean it out. It squats low enough, can you load 10k equipment in the back? @ 11:18, I don't like the scrapes on the ground. Hopefully it has a replaceable shoe there.
Does the conveyor system have a neutral gear for when loading pallets you won't have to move the conveyor forward manually & can have pallets sandwich together utilizing as much space possible or if you don't have remote you won't have to get off forklift to move belt forward?
Just curious how many pavers got broken when unloading the pallets or if they were roofing tiles seems to me like they would have been cracked I actually saw the pallets shifting the material which kid cause breakage. The other question I have is how often do you have to replace the material on the conveyor seems like it would wear out relatively quickly and I noticed you did it with mulch but what about heavy wet dirt will it push the load off when it weighs 2 to 3 tons.
Very nice! Sweeps at edges might discourage loose materials from sneaking under the belt? Some users will likely beat up the belt prematurely (broken concrete, sharp scrap and jagged materials). As a user or OEM I'd be looking for an 'armored' belt option. Rubber doubler flaps or cross slats of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene adhered to the belt might do the job. In some ways this is the perfect application for going all electric (intermittent use). Obviously some re-charge discipline would be required. On the other hand a no-run situation with job-site engines is all to common.
He did say that there is a trickle charger that maintains the battery when the truck is running and the gas motor also charges the battery so no re-charging is needed if you use it on a regular basis.
