There is a mask upstairs in the bedroom that is amazing. You miss it every playthrough. It's called the Mask of soul perception.

At devils fee, I always have one strong character jump or another character fly up to the balcony at the front door. You can find everything you need upstairs, read her journal, then do the circle. Then everyone else can keep jumping and flying upstairs whenever you need and you can use the portal for the faucet

On my first playthrough i was able to make the thing work without her help because I got her angry at me. Through out her shop there are all the ingredients you need for the ritual. There is also a book which describes what to do.
