janes commitment to playing her character as chaotic evil is admirable. its also strange that it was corazon of all people that made the first move against the mindflayer.
25:09 - Prudence: "Oh look, what does that cloud look like?" Corazon: "Oh wow, it looks like some sort of bee-themed band." Prudence: "The resolution on these clouds is amazing." Yes, they're in 1080bee.
I had left the playlist going as I fell asleep and I just woke up to "Hello! Welcome back!" a few minutes before my alarm. I was vey confused to say the least 🤣
"This might be the most visceral we've done, no wait, Merilwen's microwave and Merilwens's meat grinder" Ok, but what about Dob's orphanage made from orphans??
Idk why but when Prudence killed the mindflayer, i had hoped her Eldritch Blast would flow into its body and swell and pop its head like that carnival water gun game with the ballon
Johnny should send the group on a quest, that isn't really one 😂 like just put them in a scenario with normal stuff around them and see, what they latch onto. Obviously not telling them, that there actually isn't anything. So they just think stuff are clues or points in the adventures and either they are confused because every thing they go after turns out to be nothing, or they think they are on the right track and try n solve a problem, that's not there, just making a big fuss and Chaos 😂
I've always felt that it's more sociable, practical and fair to consider everyone's combat turn to be 6 seconds and not the entire round. Which usually logistically and narratively makes no sense when you step back and play everything that happened as simultaneously happening all at once. By that, when something Paralyzes you, you run down 6 seconds for every one taking an action before your next turn. If there is more than 10 before your next turn you will recover before your turn but be prone or suffer some other recovery penalty. Also make the status more dangerous, like having no AC while paralyzed or something. If you're Paralyzed for 60 seconds in a battle with 4 people and 5 enemies attacking individually - you will only potentially miss your next personal turn. Adjust for players & enemies attacking in tandem.
1:12:20 ok so temporary truce to fight a greater evil then they'll go to war 1:22:51 I despise multiplication tables 1:25:21 oh gross I mean nudence was weird but yeah
People say Prudence was being evil, but let's be honest: those gnobolds were ingrates! A chaotic neutral character might have done the same. An *evil* character would have used the gnobolds as a bargaining chip to begin a fruitful association with a rather formidable new ally; one who might fancy the taste of an oh-so-intelligent drow sorceress.
22 points of psychic damage, how are we doing? If it were me: I'm ok, grandma, where are we? And Jane thought 7 damage was bad. 😂 At level 7, my cleric got hit with a 30+dmg chain lightning from an archfey. He survived that, but not the power word kill when it lost its shit at seeing me coming after it after trying to hit its invisible arse with call lightning. So yeah, could've been so much worse. And 22 psychic damage is certainly worse than a measly 7😂😂😂
no evasion doesn't help evasion specifies dexterity check not intelligence and Egbert and Corazon miss their next 10 turns as each combat round is exactly 6 seconds and mind blast stunned them for 1 minute, the fight would at that point rely on Prudence, Merilwen and Max.
"Rule of cool" generally overrules "Rules as Written", especially in a format such as this. And, in any case, let us not forget the Way of the DM: "That rule is ass, we're doing it this way..." AKA: Rule Zero, DM makes the rules.
Gnomes didnt explore.... you know obsessed with exploration innovation d9gged by their own incessant curiocity, beholden to their whimz and incapabke of leaving well enough alone.... those gnomes didnt explore the cave for GENERATIONS.... minor error but it really grinds my gears...
It's not an error. Johnny can do what they want with the gnomes in their world. If they decide that gnomes in Geth are gonna be really dim and incurious, then that's what gnomes in Geth are like.
Johny teaching Luke how to DM: we value life so cheap
Johny: shed dies 1:18:20
One of the greatest moments in Oxventrue history.
You know how they came up with the name "Sharp Ones"? They're great at Gnomenclature
Boo! >:(
Boooo! >:O
Boo! >:(
Boo. >:/
@@kip258I wouldn’t say it’s that bad
On my second listen through, the puns are so much harder to tolerate this time around. The bad ones FAR outweigh the good ones...
They're rather sharp on the nose, to be sure.

Corazon wanted revenge for the mind mincing
25:09 - Prudence: "Oh look, what does that cloud look like?"

Prudence: "The resolution on these clouds is amazing."
Yes, they're in 1080bee.
This pun deserves more recognition 🐝

An umbrella full of bees: Warlock thing, tiefling thing, hermit thing or Prudence thing?
Yes.
"This might be the most visceral we've done, no wait, Merilwen's microwave and Merilwens's meat grinder"
Ok, but what about Dob's orphanage made from orphans??
If I had to guess, it's because for that one we didn't get a description of what happened. Which is often worse.
@anarchodin We got a description of the aftermath. Phrases such as "blood snowman" and "schloooop.... splat" painted a horrifying image
Idk why but when Prudence killed the mindflayer, i had hoped her Eldritch Blast would flow into its body and swell and pop its head like that carnival water gun game with the ballon
Prudence sometimes wears clothes, that's canon now.
Prudence just does what she wants, we just don't question it anymore, other than the fact it doesn't involve killing 😂
Someone must have done fan art by now, right?
And the johnny finally introduces them to a real enemy the ILLITHED.
The gymnasium was a good idea, have the gnome court advantage.
The trick is not to change anything after that, keep it in a state of gnomeostasis
Did nobody catch Johnny citing Slipknot's Left Behind on 23:30? Maybe on the old upload? Genius!
That was masterfully done and it is gutting that none of them caught it. It's an injustice!
I guess it's not their (Nero) Forté
Came to the comment section right after that to see if anyone else caught it lol
The mind flaying is stored in the mind

Egbert never fails to throw his turn away.
I said maybaaaaae
....Mindflayer's gonna psychic break maaaae
but after aaalllllll
aggravated assaaaaaauuulllt~
Love Prudence's bee lore: got a steady supply; has a bee guy: and main issue is "where do I put all these bees???" ❤ 🐝
Judging by Jane's reaction to the mind flayer in this ep, do we think she romanced the certain someone in Baldur's Gate 3? 👀🤪
Bless you Merilwen
Corazon is pretty well Flanderized, too
37:40 couldn't Merilwen have octopus'd up and grabbed everyone...?

Enemies have advantage on attack rolls against you and you don’t add your dex to your armor class. Until the effect ends.
@@jordanbishop993 That's also good
Yeah that sounds way more reasonable. It sounds OP to have moves that essentially take you out of the game for the entire combat.
Hooray for Pulp Fiction references!😂

Love that cheeky Slipknot reference 🤣
5:52 Spoiler Alert:
This _is_ Egbert the Careless we're talking about...
...It wasn't combat.
I mean, it was at the end of combat and to a character who 100% deserved it

Really didn't matter much anyway, as it happened
They were supposed to repeat the save each time, right?
Johhny knows this I reckon, they just don't want to kill anyone this episode.
"Rule of cool" generally overrules "Rules as Written", especially in a format such as this. And, in any case, let us not forget the Way of the DM: "That rule is ass, we're doing it this way..." AKA: Rule Zero, DM makes the rules.
Jhonny is so unresonable ellen should have gotten insparation at least 400 times plus why doesn't corazon use his 2 cutlasses
You can only have inspiration once at a time iirc
Really enjoying these adventures but I am getting bored of the adverts every 7 and 1/2 minutes!!!
Wait, what? I have not seen any ads (no ad blocker or anything, either..)
Maybe that's why they were doing so badly in the cave, almost going extinct to sharp ones and mindflayers. They're terrible at being gnomes
