Before I begin this cinematic masterpiece, a suggestion. Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Agent 47? A build specialized around guns, sneak, and lockpick. You must use a suppressed .45 Auto Pistol and wear a black suit with red tie. Disguises can be used only for infiltration, such as an NCR uniform to get to the monorail, or a great kahn uniform to get into vault 3, and any chance to assassinate someone, like Benny, Papa Kahn, Kimball etc you must get done. A challenge I think could be fun
I usually run their little gauntlet. Kill Colter with the console because for whatever reason his barrier gimmick refuses to work properly for me… and then I go back. Get power armor. Put *Perston* in Power Armor… and then… lock and load…
I know it’s messed up but when I did Open Season I usually do it AFTER doing all of the raider quests for NUKA World only… mostly because all it’s means more Scum to Kill
There’s a special kind of pure bloodthirsty bliss and unhinged primal rage as you tore through Nuka-world that makes it all worth it to get through the video.
Fun fact: On top of the reasons the guy had for giving Lincoln such a high intelligence on top of that Lincoln was actually a lawyer before he went into politics he was also a store clerk and a militia soldier
Extra fun fact, Lincoln is responsible for a case used to teach many American attorney the concept of judicial notice to the current day. Lincoln had a client accused of murder. The prosecution relied almost entirely on an eye witness who claimed to have seen the murder committed late at night. While cross examining the witness Lincoln established that the witness claimed to be able to see the defendant clearly because the moon was full. Lincoln then entered an almanac into evidence that showed that there was no moon on the night the murder occurred. Needless to say, the witness's reliability was left in tatters and Lincoln's client walked.
It also make sense at Abraham Lincoln would be doing Iron Fist because he is an established wrestler and that technique mainly tough things your bones and skin, but we'll also do things like strengthen your wrists if you you so certain Iron Fist push-up technique. This is pushing up on your face like the ground is a face. Responsible apparently a now no longer use technique for boxing will you rub salt over your skin to make it tougher.
I absolutely adore how nerbit treated Open Season like a professional wrestling match. I’ve never heard more creative words strung together in my life.

@@TheGreyTurtleEntertainment I had that very idea several months ago. Even did a dry run of it myself. Killing vamps with a woodcutter axe is somewhat satisfying.
Loved hearing the Duke Nukem theme during the Nuka Slaughter. Maybe a Duke build would be a neat idea, although a strength/charisma build just seems like a winning build in any Fallout game
Actually, there'd be more challenges to a Nukem run than that. Remember that Duke is a womaniser, so any Duke Nukem run of a Fallout game would have to include bedding as many female NPCs as he possibly can.

Abe clearly understands the golden rule of settlements: All you need to keep the people happy is enough turrets to immediately kill any opposition that spawns to attack them. There's nothing quite like having a message pop up while you're busy on a mission that a settlement's under attack, and then hearing directly after that you've successfully defended the settlement. It's that easy.
Exactly. I don’t get why most people complain about always having to go out of their way to defend from an attack when all you have to do is just have enough defenses and people to defend themselves. I guess they’re the same type of players that never bother to build in settlements too because it really is that easy
@@josephstalin2606 It's because if you ignore the settlement, without mods it's chance based if they successfully defend, and the highest you can ever get it on a big enough settlement is 70% or so. It's one of the reasons I argue Nuka World are better for the settlements than the Minutemen. The Minutemen don't actually defend settlements. The settlement defends itself, the minutemen never show up, not even when you show up to help. Nuka World taking a settlement as a vassal on the other hand, removes that settlement from all radiant quests. Meaning the raiders in exchange for half of their food, are actually defending them from feral ghouls, mechanist robots, and super mutants, none of whom would care about raider protectors. Basically Nuka World actually holds up their end of the social contract. The Minutemen do not, only the General does. Which is why the Minutemen completely collapsed the second the old General died. Because the Minutemen don't actually help unless the General directly orders them via the flare gun. They just sit on their ass otherwise, and let each settlement protect itself. And as anyone who has played XCOM knows, a 30% chance of getting hit is a very bad thing to take over a long period of time. The Nuka World raiders take half their crops in exchange for protection, and guess what, they actually provide the protection. Hey that doesn't sound like theft anymore does it. It sounds like...hmm. TAXATION. Also Nuka World is the only faction to EVER use non-lethal methods. Everyone else is "fly our flag or be gunned down". The shock collars look barbaric by modern standards, but they are the ONLY non-lethal method we see in the entire game. Everyone else is "kill them for opposing us" no questions asked. It's actually kind of harsh in hindsight that the first mission the Minutemen give you every time is "kill a drug using black guy who we've branded a criminal", and not, you know, talk him down, or arrest him. Seriously why the hell do the Raiders have the most speech and diplomacy options in the game? You can talk down everyone in the Nuka World DLC outside of Colter, Commander Kaylor, and the gang that betrays you. Everyone else, Oswald, Cito, Sinner, and even the settlers, can be bribed or speech checked. Unlike the Minutemen, where it's "Kill, Kill, Kill, the Savages".
@@SW-81 Actually, it was 80%. It wasn't 'just enough' turrets. It was a decent perimeter that cuts the bad guys down right when they're in range, mostly because I didn't want the enemy to have a chance to damage said turrets.
@@FalloutJack According to the Fallout wiki "This means that high defense is more likely to win, but even when it's maxed out there is still a fair (30.6%, roughly 1/3) chance to lose to an attack on a "rich" settlement." So yeah, I'm going by what the wiki says. And sure your turrets help, when YOU show up personally to see them do the job. They do jack no matter where they're placed if you don't personally show up to witness the fight. Then it's purely a dice roll. You could have a literal fortress that you would have to be suicidal to attack built, with enough turrets to wipe out the entire Brotherhood of Steel, but if you don't personally show up to see the turrets work, 30% chance of failure every time. Also heavens help you if you get multiple settlements being attacked at once, and you blew up the Institute. Since the Institute teleporter doesn't take time when you use it. Getting multiple settlements attacked at once, means that only via it can you show up to guarantee they're protected. Because Fast travelling to one, will often cause the other to roll the defend dice because you took too long travelling. Well outside of again, vassal stating them with Nuka World. Heck in this video at 19:47, you can even see Oberland Station fail to defend itself when Abe is going through the switchboard.
This is how everyone definetly remembers the history of abraham lincoln, from surviving the nuclear wasteland to abolishing post apocalyptic slavery, this is truly the greatest saga that the world has ever seen.
I like to imagine that when he left Vault 101 he was simply a man who idolized Lincoln and agreed with his ideals. But when John Wilkes Benny shot him in the face, he truly thought he was Lincoln. What a hero
I personally think he's the same Lincoln from fallout 3 and New Vegas and he's just a vengeful spirit that comes alive every few hundred years to smite all of the disgusting slavers he can get his hands on
@@TheRoseReaper yeah gunpowder exists in lore and has been used fore fireworks, if they could figure out how to make guns it would be game over for a lot of things. but in most peoples opinions the magic is more powerful.
I love the idea of some synth that escaped from the Institute and thought it was Abe Lincoln. That’s so something the institute would do, try to replicate a person from the past. Then he got out, and Asimov’s laws took it from there
To the Far Harbor memory challenges...there's a glitch that makes the last one SO much easier. The blasts that the Black Ice fire are capable of removing walls when fired at the trigger...thus, set the turret onto a block on the ground in front of you and just wait. It can take some time for the enemy floating turrets to fly by the right spot, but it's far easier than doing the entire thing the way you're intended to. There's many a UA-cam video on it to see this in action.

I'm convinced this is a connected narrative of either an immortal Abraham Lincoln who travels the wasteland improving the lives of everyone he meets come hell or high water, or a crazy man convinced he is Abraham Lincoln getting into weird situations and failing forward often enough to somehow save the wasteland.
Personally, I think it's the story of several people coincidentally named Abraham who stumble upon his classic hat and are, in a Mask-like transformation, possessed by the Eldritch spirit of Honest Abe
The USS Constitution quest was written by one of the New Vegas devs who went on to work on Fallout 4 afterwards, which is why it has such an open ended nature and skill checks. Most of the quests that sucked, on the other hand, were written by Emil Pagliarulo (who infamously hates RPG design because he thinks everything should be "simple"). Emil didn't write for Far Harbour either, which is why it was so good.
He's infamous for claiming its a waste of time to write complex stories because players will just ignore them and make their own fun. Its the most out of touch take on the Fallout community and how it engages with the games I have ever seen.
If I had a penny for every time Abe Lincoln played a game of tower defense in a foggy swamp to help an old guy, and at some point had hallucinations in the same place, I’d have 2 cents..which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice
i love how he said the saying dont bring a knife to gun fight exists for a reason but if you look at most of his new vegas challenge runs he uses a melee build
all depends on who wins. knife guy dies, shouldn't have charged a dude with a gun. gun guy dies, "you thought you could beat a dude crazy enough to rush a guy with a gun, with melee weapons?" i mean, yeah, the answer is usually the gun guy wins. plus irl bullet sponging, tanking shots, doesn't work out nearly as well. eating 100 year old spam to heal a gunshot, either.

Abe in Skyrim sounds perfect considering the amount of axes in the game including the woodsman Axe (I think that’s what it’s called where you can find it in a stump near a manor building site)

You know? A Harriet Tubman Run in Fallout would be a hell lot interesting. In principles, would be very similar to Abe run, but focused on stealth, intelligence and luck. I hope that this proposal go on, Nerbit!
She would have a large medicine skill due to her being a medic in the civil war, and stealth due to her escaping plantations and her work as a northern spy
This video, nay masterpiece. Can only be described as perfection. From the mysterious disappearing tophat to the best ending ever, this truly made me love this channel even more Thanks Nerbit, your challenges are always amazing and I can't wait for Abe to rampage once more across Tamriel
I think Travis switched to the gun because the fight “ended” while one of the guys was on the ground and you punched one last time after that so it turned into a real fight
For the Oswald thing, I had something similar happen on my first play through. It turned out that I didn’t actually do all the things for that zone. Normally, you can casually skirt your way through a zone and complete it with no hassle. But Kiddy Kingdom is a b*tch to get through because you have to do literally, LITERALLY everything around it to progress the Oswald quest.
This was such an incredible, hilarious, charming video. Thank you so much for all the time you put in to making this sort of content, Nerbit! If you're interested in original Fallout at all, I think it could be fun to try this run in Fallout/Fallout 2.
I think my 2nd favourite part of this video is the fact that you literally made Abe and Kellogg in whatever edition of WWE that was in. My favourite part was obviously the Nuka World Speech.

The USS Constitution was in active service until 1881, meaning as Commander in Chief he was the highest authority responsible for that ship. Fun fact: On top of the reasons the guy had for giving Lincoln such a high intelligence on top of that Lincoln was actually a lawyer before he went into politics he was also a store clerk and a militia soldier
And a vampire hunter.
And one hell of a wrestler, gotta be smart to be a good wrestler

@@justanothercommenterwithan9089 I think Nerbit mention that in one of the videos
It’s here everyone…we finally have the next chapter to Lincoln’s story…I’m shaking and sobbing with joy right now

It really is...
@@FalloutJack According to the Fallout wiki "This means that high defense is more likely to win, but even when it's maxed out there is still a fair (30.6%, roughly 1/3) chance to lose to an attack on a "rich" settlement."
So yeah, I'm going by what the wiki says.
