Fallout 4, But Every Step Costs 1 Cap

- Today we'll be playing Fallout 4 with one simple ruleset: Every step costs 1 cap...
Combined with the games difficulty of Survival with prohibits Fast Travelling, I'll have to walk to every location I want to visit, while paying for every single step.
I'll be starting the game with 500 caps... which is 500 steps. My Goal is to see how far I can get in Fallout 4 without softlocking my game. Just how I'd make enough money to achieve this... well, watch and find out.
Personal Update
I hope everyone is doing well now that we're coming to the end of the year.
Christmas can always be a busy time of the year for everyone, so make sure to treat yourself when you can...
I'm sure most of you are aware, but unfortunately we saw the passing of Paul 'Mitten Squad' on Dec 18th. His passing did hit me quite hard as I've always looked up to him as a creator. He basically made the challenge run scene we have today. Rest up Paul.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy Holidays. This is officially my last video before 2024 so enjoy!!! 2023 has been an insane year for this channel, we've managed to grow while still trying new stuff. Thank you all for the past 12 months, have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon. Also in early next year, we have a New Vegas challenge, an All Achievements challenge and a return to a certain 'bad games' sequal.
OH and sorry about the lack of Greenscreen, I've been super busy and quite honestly wanted to not stress out editing before Christmas.

I like how jabo knows about more obscure game mechanics like being able to pick up enemy guns to get the ammo in the magazine but doesn't know about more obvious things like Sheffield being a potential settler

I wouldn't say that first one is necessarily an obscure fact. Sure, the game never outright tells you about it, but it's not a hard mechanic to stumble across. You just need to be paying attention to your ammo while picking up a weapon that holds the same ammo as the one you're using, which is going to happen eventually, and I'd say is very likely to happen when you do the quest to help Danse raid Arcjet.

Paul passed away within the past 7 days due to alcohol related ailments. It really sucks because he'd been working hard on his alcoholism for so long and probably just binged a ton of booze and fucked himself. Poor guy@@josseph6835

According to the wiki, some NPCs are scripted to always know if the player character stole something. A good example is the Scavengers near the U.S.S. Constitution.
@@causalloop25 Some npcs are, like everyone in bunker hill, but kleo is not. Detection there is just buggy. You can steal it if you drag it further into the upstairs room.
Ive never had issues stealing from good neighbor. It's funny how Bethesda games run different for different people lol

YES, the Vault-Tec Rep is voiced by Paul Eiding! He also voices the Colonel from Metal Gear, Uncle Max from Ben 10, and the default Protoss announcer for Starcraft 2 (He's the additional pylons guy!). He's also had other roles in Bethesda games, such as Galmar Stone-Fist and Septimus SIgnus.

ammo costs more than bottlecaps already it would have to be like 10 bottlecaps a shot or something like that might not even be enough since it would just be sniper only run if it was only 10

Gonna be honest, I always loved Jabos videos and to be honest I didn’t think he could come up with more ideas for fallout 4 but I’m glad he did and I love it 👍
At covenant there’s a mutfruit plant that is always classed as stealing even if you own the workshop also it would’ve probably cut a lot of walking down if you set up a trade route from the boat house to covenant that way you could’ve accessed the water from covenant instead of going backwards and forwards still a great video always looking forward to the next

I think a sort of thing like 1 cap every 3-5 steps would have been a good starting point, and then you could move it up as the challenge goes along, if you decided to do this for like skyrim

I had this idea that would give great twitch chat interaction but i myself am not big enough nor technologicaly capable of it.
Basically if chat can spell a creature in the game you turn into that creature (if they spell wolf, you turn into a wolf) and because some of these names are long you might have to think of a shorter version of some creature names. I think thso would he absolute chaos and chaos seems like your channels specialty
People did that with Skyrim because of the already in-game transformation code

once again a beautiful video jabo and here's a challange idea for you. you start a casual whatever bethesda game like usual but everytime you die you transition between a past challange you've done to that game.
This is a fascinating way of going about survival aspects. Survival is about managing resources, carrying water/food and forever having to go "will I spend more resources doing X than X will provide?" This is just a streamlined version; change it so being in a settlement/city doesn't burn caps and I think you have a real neat way of playing the game :)
