I had no idea the legate could even use grenades. I guess Leatherface was just so scary that he thought he'd try a ranged approach...from about three feet away.
Really glad you ended up doing this one, but maybe in the future for similar sort of runs, maybe adjust the characther's height to like 1.1 for even more immersive experience?
Maybe the feral ghoul mask from Fallout 3 wouldve been the best pick? I know theres mods to allow cross-game items due to the fact its literally the same engine and assets.

Fallout 4 has the doom slayer creation. Pretty sure it’s completely broken but it’s the thought that counts. Broken by being OP btw, so it’d be more of a gimmick playthrough.
I'd highly recommend both the first and second Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. The first one is a classic horror masterpiece that needs no explanation, but for the second movie, Tobe Hooper (director and co-writer of the original) wanted to do something different, so it's much more of a black comedy with characters like Chop Top and scenes like the Sawyer father winning a chili cooking contest. Honestly wouldn't bother with anything after that, except maybe the 2003 remake, was decently creative and respectful to the original so it gets a pass.
Its funny imagining leather face chilling with some of the fanciest people in that wasteland. Like he's just covered in blood with a mask made of skin and a bloody chainsaw on his back, eating at a table with people in suit's, dress's and ball mask's

@@Nerbit13098 There's a couple of dialogues that change with it but like, Fallout 2 had you straight up locked out of a bunch of quests and radically changed how other ones resolved, it was great. With NV I'd probably chalk it up to them just not having the time rather than not having the will, which is sad.

I was thinking for a character challenge idea "trying to beat Fallout 4 as Samus Aran (Metroid)" For the challenge you could - play as a girl -Only wear Vault suits - only use t-51 power armor painted red - and only use laser weapon

The kill with the hammer is probably one of the most brutal kills imo in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre just because of how real it feels Spoiler: basically leatherface hits one of the characters head with a hammer with such force he's instantly down and twitching.
Good stuff, I planned on making a similar video myself at some point in the future, but base it more specifically on his character in MKX. For example, one of the first things I actually did in my playtest run was the White Glove Society questline for the “Pretty Lady” variant of Leatherface: the masks were similar, it was a free tux, and the faction in of itself fits Leatherface and the Sawyer family well. Great video, I’ll have to use some of these tips as a base when I do my run.
This run inspired me to play the game and base my character off of it because the chaos seemed like so much fun. Her name was Jen Dahmer (No Relation). Abstained from guns, using only melee weapons and explosives, she pissed off and cannibalized almost everyone she came across. By the end of the game she had sided with Yes Man and had killed and eaten +1300 people. The best part was telling House to fuck off like four times in his own casino.
I think this man just goes to sleep and keeps adding a phrase to "Can you beat Fallout New Vegas", but I'm not complaining this is peak content. Ok it was a suggestion lol ,even better
I know that spooky month was over a week ago, but maybe next go-around you can follow this entry up with a "Can you beat Fallout 3 as Freddy Krueger" challenge? Park stroller outfit, any fedora-style headwear, deathclaw gauntlet, and you can only get kills with the Mister Sandman perk.
the only exceptions i think to the "only use mr sandman rule" would have to be in scripted events where you have to fight your way out of certain fights and cant wait for your opponents to fall asleep

i mean, he does seem to be a cannibal serial killer. designed based on a real world cannibal serial killer. but i think most people get that, dude didn't eat all of texas or some shit. it's just game stuff. once you munch, the fun don't stop till all the bodies drop.
@@IamaPERSON unlike most horror icons he's not a bad guy in the original movie you see it several times he is abused by his family into doing what he does he doesn't want to do it he just does it because that's what family told him to do. He's an eight-year-old boy in the body of a man physically and emotionally abused. He does it because that's just what he does. You see in the original movie his family is abusive toward towards him. Even though he protects the house and Cooks all the food. He was never truly a killer. That's why I enjoy them. But I do enjoy him just killing people with a chainsaw I needing them in the remake's and some of the sequels.
I have an idea for a Fallout: New Vegas run: Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as 'Crazy Ivan' from Red Alert 2?: Rules: You can only use dynamite (thrown is allowed). No armour. You can use companions but only if you plant dynamite on them before sending them into battle so they explode (if Fallout: New Vegas mechanics don't allow this then No companions). If you encounter Bhramin (the Fallout equivalent of cows) you must use dynamite on them. This would not be a serious run probably because of the Red Alert 2 reference.
Perhaps a Jason Voorhees spin next? The coveralls will do just fine with a machete, and the vanilla has a hockey mask already. But, your only way to heal is through lakes, ponds and puddles
You could also give yourself the ghoul mask with console commands. Also would’ve been funny if you picked up cass as a companion and romanced her, considering that bubba does fall in love with a woman in the second one, or you could save it for a fallout 4 as Leatherface run and romanced piper
Gotta say, love the video, and this challenge looks like fun. So I have my own challenge to suggest. Can you beat Fallout New Vegas whilst being possessed by the ghost of Texas Red? Rules: You must have your Pip-Boy Radio on at all times. Every time you hear the song “Big Iron” play, you have to kill everyone nearby you until the song ends, no matter where you are or who you’d be killing. You are able to keep Texas Red under control, but that song just pisses him off and makes him take control. Bonus Rule: You can’t side with the NCR, their rangers remind Texas Red too much of the Arizona Ranger who killed him.
You should try and do a mysterious stranger only run! You can level up to the level needed to have him but then the challenge is that you can only fire at a guy in vats as much as you need to get the stranger to appear. You cannot be the one to kill the man and if you do you must reload.
What if you tried to beat new vegas as Scout from TF2? You go sawed off shotgun, pistol, baseball bat, max agility/charisma, and 1 intelligence, because anybody who's read the comics knows that scout's intelligence is... less than sub-brick, to be generous. OH and also, max luck because of random crits.
I've had an idea; Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Jarmen Kell from Command & Conquer Generals. The Basic Rules are Simple you can only use rifles and aim down sights or VATS while attacking (no fully automatics, manual action or semi-automatics only). However since there are 3 difficulty settings in C&C Generals there are 3 alternate settings for this run as well: Easy: General Juhziz has hired you and thus you can use planted explosives such as mines and C4, thrown explosives such as dynamite and grenades can only be used by reverse pick pocketing and launchers are forbidden. Normal: you are limited to rifles as stipulated in the basic rules and must sneak from as soon as you are able to in game and can only break sneak when there is no alternative to advance the story (Jarmen Kell occasionally has to break cover). Hard: Prince Kassad has hired you so you not only have to be sneaking like on normal but cannot attack except using VATS for greater stealth. There is an extra to this as well, 'I don't care who they are', kill every named NPC in the game (Yes Man doesn't count because machines can't die) the unnamed ones can live but any with a unique name must die for this extra level. Would that sound fun?
Makes sense to use doctor's bags, since leatherface would have some functional knowledge for human anatomy and stitching up wounds. Also fun fact for anyone curious. the first texas chansaw massacre movie was actually meant to be a dark comedy sort of movie. Not simply a horrifying spectacle.

"manages to keep that chainsaw working pretty well" the fact it doesn't conk out when going through not only loads of muscle but a full human spine marks that chainsaw as a priceless artefact

Deathclaw Gauntlet being the "Freddy Kruger weapon" has been done to death, but for good reason.
Doom slayer could only use sawn-off, 9mm pistol, some kind of pump shotgun, light machine gun, plasma rifle, minigun, and fat man.

@@IamaPERSON unlike most horror icons he's not a bad guy in the original movie you see it several times he is abused by his family into doing what he does he doesn't want to do it he just does it because that's what family told him to do. He's an eight-year-old boy in the body of a man physically and emotionally abused. He does it because that's just what he does. You see in the original movie his family is abusive toward towards him. Even though he protects the house and Cooks all the food. He was never truly a killer. That's why I enjoy them. But I do enjoy him just killing people with a chainsaw I needing them in the remake's and some of the sequels.

Rules:
You can only use dynamite (thrown is allowed).
No armour.
You can use companions but only if you plant dynamite on them before sending them into battle so they explode (if Fallout: New Vegas mechanics don't allow this then No companions).
If you encounter Bhramin (the Fallout equivalent of cows) you must use dynamite on them.
This would not be a serious run probably because of the Red Alert 2 reference.

Rules:
You must have your Pip-Boy Radio on at all times.
Every time you hear the song “Big Iron” play, you have to kill everyone nearby you until the song ends, no matter where you are or who you’d be killing. You are able to keep Texas Red under control, but that song just pisses him off and makes him take control.
Bonus Rule:
You can’t side with the NCR, their rangers remind Texas Red too much of the Arizona Ranger who killed him.

You should try and do a mysterious stranger only run! You can level up to the level needed to have him but then the challenge is that you can only fire at a guy in vats as much as you need to get the stranger to appear. You cannot be the one to kill the man and if you do you must reload.
What if you tried to beat new vegas as Scout from TF2? You go sawed off shotgun, pistol, baseball bat, max agility/charisma, and 1 intelligence, because anybody who's read the comics knows that scout's intelligence is... less than sub-brick, to be generous. OH and also, max luck because of random crits.
I've had an idea; Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas as Jarmen Kell from Command & Conquer Generals.
The Basic Rules are Simple you can only use rifles and aim down sights or VATS while attacking (no fully automatics, manual action or semi-automatics only).
However since there are 3 difficulty settings in C&C Generals there are 3 alternate settings for this run as well:
Easy: General Juhziz has hired you and thus you can use planted explosives such as mines and C4, thrown explosives such as dynamite and grenades can only be used by reverse pick pocketing and launchers are forbidden.
Normal: you are limited to rifles as stipulated in the basic rules and must sneak from as soon as you are able to in game and can only break sneak when there is no alternative to advance the story (Jarmen Kell occasionally has to break cover).
Hard: Prince Kassad has hired you so you not only have to be sneaking like on normal but cannot attack except using VATS for greater stealth.
There is an extra to this as well, 'I don't care who they are', kill every named NPC in the game (Yes Man doesn't count because machines can't die) the unnamed ones can live but any with a unique name must die for this extra level.
Would that sound fun?
