The first album I ever bought. I was 12 years old. 52 years later I still get chills when I hear this song.

The "Alice Cooper Band" is the most underrated group of the entire '70s and beyond, because they influenced so much rock after them. Even if you take away Alice's persona, that band created some seriously dirty jams.

Dwight Fry was a horror film actor who who died in 1943 at the age of 44,he was Dr Frankensteins assistant Fritz in Frankenstein and Renfield in Dracula,he was good at playing the mad man role as demonstrated in Dracula, but still was never given the credit he deserved as a great actor, often playing only bit parts and small roles.

Dwight Fry was an actor from the 1930's who was in the original Frankenstein with Boris Karloff, and the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi (and several sequels). Fry played the Dracula sidekick "Renfield" and the Frankenstein hunchback assistant. He was typecast as psychopathic for the rest of his acting career.

Alice has a lot of songs with the mental health theme. After he was institutionalized for addiction, he wrote a theme album called "From the Inside" - would make a great full album reaction (hint, hint).

Now ! A full album reaction 🧐 you think that could work ? I’ve never done one ! But have considered it as a way of closing off on an album if I’ve reacted to tracks from it ?

I think it's a perfect way to do a concept album. It could be a series of individual songs, or split into Side 1 / Side 2. @@alan-reacts65

Alice's best stuff are the deep albums cuts like this and "Black Juju".

The sound that intrigued you was probably the good old guitar and using the volume-knob.

Told my Cooper story looong time ago & only got a sec here so may tell it again later, but Alice being my very 1st rock show at 10 yro in '81, this was always my fave song of theirs, though there are MANY such Cooper gems like it until he sobered up & returned in '86 & became a caricature of his former self. It was his best setlest ever i can find on that Nightmare Returns tour i was blessed to see, incuding Dwight Frye! You should REALLY check out that live theatrical performance from that tour on here when you can. Is better than album version! If do, would suggest you maybe go ahead & roll cameras too, react, & save for a rainy day or extra drop? Think i also told you, Cooper was a late 60's Frank Zappa label project in the beginning. He signed them & gave advice to set them on their way before the band dissolved & Vincent became Alice himself. The Zappa label albums were nothing special but then Cooper put out several masterpieces of albums before his return in '86.
I actually recently added Dwight Frye to my one-man show bag-o-tricks just in case i need an extra cover song SOMEBODY might know?😅
    Hopefully see you soon!

@@alan-reacts65 I meant to say that that performance is on UA-cam, not necessarily to watch "on here". But would be cool to see your reaction to it one day. Also saw in a comment you got tickets to see him. Nice! I talk about how he's not old Alice & sound like I'm crapping on him nowadays, but that's just my opinion of course & don't mean nothing! I would suggest beforehand you listen to all his albums starting after Zappa albums, since most dont know them, through his '86 comeback album. Then since he has so many after I'd suggest best ofs & greatest hits to cover "newer" hits he'll play. Then I'd check out his latest album & you be set, my brother!🤘😎
...and of course, as many reactions as you care to post would be cool. I know it's not your style, but leading up to concert can give you an excuse maybe???😅
      Whatever friend!
I see you added another 100+ to channel. That's a 100+ more true fans of music like yourself! Not like the rest who mostly wanna pay to have THEIR music reacted too. Good job, & thanks again for what you do!
      🙏❤️

@satyadasgumbyji8956 such kind words 😊 I’ve got 6 months and yes your right I like to not get hemmed in by the need to stay on one genre for too long , like 99% of our little channel , we like ( I hope and believe , to wander and explore genres ) but I suspect probably another 4 reactions and I’m going to stay on early and definitely 2 from “ welcome to my nightmare 😊 you are so kind brother I appreciate you 😊👍

@alan-reacts65 - Absolutely, great album (his best IMO). At the very least, listen to the three consecutive tracks on side 2 - “Years Ago”, “Steven” and “The Awakening”. There’s a lot of good rocking tunes on the album, but these three have a wonderful macabre vibe and excellent instrumentation.
