I know you love getting her out, but Mama loves her apartment and running those halls. I think the days of going out might be gone. She doesn’t care and you take such great care of her! I follow several people who have a parent in a facility due to Alzheimer’s or dementia and girl NO one visits and spoils like you do and I LOVE it! My mama was diagnosed 3 months ago. She told my sister and I that she wants to go to a facility when she can no longer care for herself, but to please promise we would visit. I told her I will be there everyday! You are an amazing daughter Crystal!!
🥰🥰🥰 She can’t always stay in there. There are times when they have call outs and are very short staffed. I’m not staying there for 8 hours until the next shift arrives so she has to come home. She is fine. It’s hard work but we get through it.

Thank you! For some reason, I think I was handpicked for this assignment. Because I just don’t see it as sad. I see it as a part of life. It’s nothing I can do about it so I accept it as our new normal with grace. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. If I looked at this as sad, my journey would be ROUGHER! 🥰🥰🥰
@@divasanddementia4925most people don't realize God says to take care of our elderly parents. They don't plan for it. It cramps their style so they put them in a home and don't see about them because they can't handle their behavior. We have to treat them as a child if needed

I was a CNA for 12 1/2 years. Most days was very challenging & stressful. At the end of the day is very rewarding. Trust and believe Praying is much needed. It’s also a sad situation to see your loved ones go through difficult times like this. Continue prayers for your Momma, You, Your Family & all the Staff Members! ❤️🙏🏾💪🏾

Hey friend! If you’ve been watching these two for a while, the daughter has done a phenomenal job entering the world of her mother. Shes very playful with her mother. I wouldn’t consider it scolding. It could look like that but she is feet playful & respectful to her mother.
I am just beginning the journey with my mother. 😢 It's sad to see her slowly lose control of her thought processes.

Our mother has dementia and she lives with me and my husband and we both work I am a PCA and I take her to work with me so I have her 24 hours a day it's hard right now she's in her early stages but she's not going anywhere I stay in prayer

She acts just like my mom! I know what you are going through. My mom's nickname is NON-STOP. She relocates everything, ALL DAY. OK really doesn't mean OK. And she is like a wrecking ball. Very destructive for a little woman. And she loves to collect random junk and trash! If it's not bolted down, she'll walk off with it! She is EXHAUSTING! They need to come up with a chill pill for dementia patients! It is getting harder to cope with every day!
