He was a miner from a small welsh town that used to sing for his friends. He is now 'Sir' Tom Jones. He was knighted by the Queen for his contribution to music.
@@Egav-te7mk well he did have a helluva lot of temptation, and she stayed with him when she could have got a lot of money from divorce. I suppose after the first time it was something of an addiction, in the end maybe less upsetting for her than his having sex a few thousand times with one other woman.
Most pop and rock singer's who can belt great high notes still have to make a stank face when doing it, Tom's voice is so great that he doesn't have to make a stank face, but the person watching him does haha!
I'm a 72 year old white woman, and this is the music from my youth. I love seeing young people appreciate the beauty of such wonderful performers. Another I enjoyed so much is Sam Cooke. The purity of his voice, without all the fancy production, was incredible. Thanks for the blast from the past.
Its a kick watching this young man get into the song and be awestruck by the voice and the effortless range. This young man would like to go back in time and see Tom Jones live. The fun part is he doesn't have to, Tom Jones can still sing like he did back in the 60s.
Like others have mentioned, he's a coach on The Voice U K. He's in his early 80's and it doesn't take much to get him to sing on the show. He may not have the power he had 55 years ago, but he still has an amazing voice. It would take you 5 minutes TOPS to find video of him singing on that show. Back in the day women would throw panties on stage at his shows.
I was born in 1956 and these people put out the most wonderful songs that have passed the era of beautiful music! Percy Sledge was my favorite of all time, he had so much soul on his voice. He couldn't help it he was short and had a big gap in his front teeth, but he was wonderful to listen too
I hope he follows your suggestion. He will be amazed a man can still have that power in his voice at the age of 80. Amazing reactions from this young man, Tom Jones,,, who knew?
Back when no audio enhancements were needed. Tom just had a great, powerful, and unique sound to his voice. You make us oldies so happy to know that the music we grew up on and loved is not dying, as it shouldn't. Music of the fifties, sixties, and seventies was so incredible. You have so many incredible singers and groups to fall in love with through the years. Lucky guy! Really love your excitement and enthusiasm. Keep up the great work.
Wy wife and I average 70 years old. I'm so glad that you are listening to "our" music...we've never caught on to much of the music from today. I enjoy your reactions, lololol. We had a great bunch of entertainers back in the day.... Rock on.
Now he is Sir Tom Jones, at 80, he can still belt this tune out. An amazing artist.. love his music and vocals. 😊 Happy to see the younger generation is listening to what WE grew up with: pure soul, no auto tune, raw. Now THAT'S talent!
This is the 3rd video where I watched a young person reacting to hearing Tom Jones for the first time. Good quality music last a long time. Tom is 80 years old and still got it. I hope he influence these young people to produce good material.
Just like you said it's a time machine I grew up Christmas music in the first time I get to see it on UA-cam the bless you to see it all in the area God loves
Who is he??? He is now Sir Tom Jones a UK singer from Wales like Scotland an part of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 you can see him now he’s a judge on the Voice Britain
This song was written by Lonnie Donnegan. His son Peter was on the Voice UK and Tom Jones turned his chair. Tom and Peter performed this together on The Voice and his voice is still great at 80 years old. Jennifer Hudson was in awe while Tom was singing.
At 80 he still performs concerts sounds better than ever and recently was a judge/mentor on The Voice the same season as Jennifer Hudson. Tom is so smooth, mellow and powerful at the same time. React to his uptempo songs It’s Not Unusual Sexbomb What’s New Pussycat (was for a movie of the same title)
At 1:45 the smile on your face says it all! At 6:10, I’m saying to the screen, WAIT FOR IT......then. Boooooommm............Tom Jones is an amazing singer and can snap his fingers like no other!!
Seriously, I found these reaction channels 3days ago and I am so thrilled watching young people diggin' TOM JONES... Oh, your appreciation of his GREAT voice and style made me tear up. I'LL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN, such a great classic. Now IN THREE DAYS, I have watched almost 60-70 reactions of THIS SONG. WOW, Town. Your face and response is heart melting. From a 69 year old mama who lived through the 60's. My respect to loving the oldies. Note: I saw TOM JONES in the late 70's, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Couldn't melt away though, with my husband sitting there lol. Thanks for being here.
I was 23yrs old in 1967, married to my current husband. We had our two small children and lived in west Texas, which is where we still live. I enjoyed all the "top tunes" back then on radio (constantly) and television (occasionally). Tom Jones was enormously popular then, made great vocals, & we still enjoy him in today's reaction vids. Thank you for this one!
This is my favorite Tom song! I remember sitting in my moms bedroom playing his albums on her record player for hours. You should hear ...green green grass of home. Tom is one of the greats. Even Elvis felt he was the greatest Male singer of his time
Love that you love this old stuff. My first real reaction to Tom Jones was house/dog sitting for some people who had him on vinyl. Most nights I’d put on Tom Jones on the porch so I could hear it outside the house, grab a few beers, start a bonfire, and hang out with the dogs. Good nights man. Live in a rural area so nothing but stars by a fire and good music with a beer.
And sorry about all this autotune we used back then. 🤣 He's now Sir Tom Jones. He was "Knighted" by Queen Elizabeth ll of Britainin 2006. Look into his songs Delilah and She's a Lady...
In our time machine, that was when the best music was played. I grew up in that time and thankful that I was able to be there when these songs came out. I now relish the thought that men like you are now listening to these older songs. They never get old.
A fellow welsh man, he's from wales, a part of the uk, where i'm from too. if my memory serves me correctly he's from a part of wales called Pontypridd. He is well know in the uk and knighted by our Queen.
What ought to really blow your mind is that, in 1967, this was the standard. This is what we heard every day, from a hundred different singers. Tom Jones was one of the best, yes, but not the only one. This is what music is supposed to sound like. I almost envy you, that your journey through the best years of popular music is only just beginning. Enjoy!
He’s 80 and can sing the same way! You my young bra, are the best out there doing these..I’m an old 62 year old white guy who watches a lot of these. You and Shushi (female) are the best individually in this game!
Just heard him sing this on his show, the voice, when I contestant happen to be the son of the guy who actually wrote this song, and he sings it with him, it blew me away that at 80 years old, he sounds even better. The guy is 80, and he still has women chasing him, I’m 51, and then run away from me! Dammit I’m jealous, as a singer and a man!

The completely insane thing is that even now at 80 years old his voice is still astonishingly good... He’s like a force of nature.
Sinatra once told him he would ruin his voice if he did not stop singing with so much power. He STILL has the Power.
