Tom Jones is a Welsh singer who has one of the smoothest powerful voices around. And he was a showman too, in fact he was a big heart-throb with the ladies. He has so many hits such as "It's Not Unusual", "Delilah", "What's New Pussycat?", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "She's a Lady" etc. He covers a lot of genres. He is still performing & is a coach on "The Voice" UK version. He also had a variety show from 69 - 71 & had some of the biggest music stars at the time.
Respect for the real true talent Tom Jones singing one of his many powerhouse voice classics. Many the same as me do accept and understand his great brilliant singing without any talking interruption voice to put us of listening to this classic. We only talk before and after the song and not during. As we don't get that full one hundred percent feeling.
Seeing you so delighted was worth stopping by for! I was ten years old and remember this performance, I actually remember many of the performances you see and I love the performances as much today as much as I loved them back then!
The 60s was the GREATEST music decade! Rock (Elvis, started in the 50s), Soul (Tom Jones, The Righteous Brothers), Motown (The Supremes, Jackson Five, The Temptations), Country (Johnny Cash, First Edition with Kenny Rogers), Folk (Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary) and the British Invasion (Beatles, Petula Clark). I’ve left out so many but you can see what I mean! Such an awesome decade of music!
I was in my teens when Tom Jones came over and shook up the world. I remember every girl i knew was crazy over him and i was so jealous (even though i loved him too). Thanks for playing this one. He had some great one's.
Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards went to see Tom Jones live in 1968, and left the performance very depressed. The groupies that flocked to Tom's concerts were statuesque fashion models, wearing couture designer threads and dripping with bling from Chanel. The groupies in ragged jeans who flocked to see the Stones had to blow their way through security and the roadies before even getting a chance at ringside.
That jacket is a double breasted style. The shirt with the high collar is influenced by the dress of many of the band members of the English Invasion of the sixties.
SUGGESTION FOR YOUR “LIVE PERFORMANCE” CHANNEL: SIR TOM JONES & HELENE FISCHER “SEX BOMB” On the Helene Fischer Show …I am so OBSESSED with this performance! At-the-time, Tom was 80 YEARS OLD, and he’s STILL “got it”.😵 Helene Fischer is a German singer (the show is from Germany) and she reminds me a bit of Olivia Newton John. Their chemistry performing together is just the BEST THING EVER.🥰
Nice appraisal of Tom. Not sure if I am coming back from this reaction, but maybe. Not sure if you are worthy of this type of music and this era of music yet. I hope you appreciate my honesty because if you are able to win me over then you will have a loyal convert. I gave you a thumbs up but not a subscribe. More Home Free as well as classics from the 60's reactions could be the difference for me.
I love the way you look so amazed. Those were the days when you could actually understand the lyrics. You should listen to Delilah
And he's still singing in his eighties. He's a judge on The Voice UK. and his voice is still amazing.
That wonderful sound is a great song. I who have nothing. You will love these songs

Loved all Tom's songs but my absolute favorite is "Delilah", a real Tom Jones power ballad! Great reaction, enjoyed it immensely!

Live and no auto tune!
Notice the cord on the mike.
Tom was too cool for school, a real class act. "Green green grass of home" is a beautiful song but this is my favorite TJ song.
Style and confidence? What about his goddam god given voice?
Tom has class nobody sounds like Tom Jones ❤
Sir Tom Jones is 83 and can still sing this song.
Timeless Magic Medicine
Try 'Till' or 'Thunderball' by Tom Jones - they will blow your socks off.

Purrrrrrrrr!🐈
I guess you really liked his suit. Guess what! You can still buy one like that today. HINT HINT
The size of the mike means nothing.....
Listen to I who have nothing
If you’re from Wales you sing, probably not as good as Tom Jones. Lucky he escaped the coal mines. There’s not much you could do back then.
His suit is probably made from Italian Mohair? 👍👏✌🇬🇧
ooohhhhyes
1964 was ace too
