Growing up in the 60's, I remember yelling "NO NOT AGAIN MOM" when she put the Tom Jones LP record on. I never appreciated Sir Tom until I was in my 40's. Amazing performer!
Same with me and my mom. I didn’t really to start to appreciate him until I saw him singing some blues on a PBS special. He is brilliant at singing the blues too.
I remember my mother was a big fan of his. Tom was one of those male singers that would get panties thrown at him on stage regularly. He was the one grow women were crazy about.
My mom too! Him and Englebert Humperdink.
Same
Me too.
He was 27 years old. 80 now, can still sing this well
No he cant. He's 80 for Gods sake lol.
@@ImRonDurden: actually, yes he can and amazingly.
@@tebindack Ive heard him. He cant..
Nobody can. Its physically impossible to. No matter who you are or how Good. Stop bullshitting.
@@ImRonDurden: he’s sang incredibly several times as a judge on The Voice, so go get your ears checked. are you jealous of him or just manic like your name?
@@tebindack Yes. He sings incredibly well at his age. But he does not sing as well as he did when he was younger. Are you deluded or just a liar?
Either way. You are wrong.
Somebody bring music like this back. I hate the crap on the radio these days...
Justin Bieber. lolol
If you listen to the radio its mostly crap yes, but there are plenty of good music made today. You just have to know where to look. And the radio is not one of those places.
*****************************ABSOLUTLEY AGREE************************************
We need more heartfelt love songs.
Amen to that !
Tom is one of those rare talents that could sing anything and make it awesome. . .Tom is the real thing.
AMEN...!!!!
Remember he's singing this live here. No such thing as auto tune back then.
Class and style
Fucking duh, autotune uses machine learning algorithms lol. Who thinks they had them in the 60s??
Now you know Tom has the moves and he can sing ballads! One of the best voices ever!
Remember this is true singer no electronics just pure voice
The lost art of building a song to a crescendo! Mr. Jones and Elvis were masters of this art form!
FACTS.
You know what is so so good it's all him no AUTOTUNE just power
Frankly, that's a masterpiece. From God's hands to Tom's voice. Lovely comments. Happened to me big time to be honest. Some people fall hard. Decades, and I'm called a handsome man. The spirit between you is obvious. Bless you both.
I was born in 67 and I like to think that my parents had their first dance on this song ..! And so here I am 😊
In my humble opinion, Tom Jones is the male version of "The Voice" Whitney Houston (RIP), and Whitney is my all-time favorite female singer. Just like Whitney's voice, Tom Jones' voice is a MASTERPIECE. Even at 80 years old, Tom's voice is powerful and still going strong.
He is still alive and still sings like that! One of the greatest voices, ever!
Most modern singers have voices like a lawnmower engine ....
Tom have a souped up V 8 that roared like a dragon
True story: My parents sent me to a Tom Jones concert in the early 70s. Why they didn't stay I do NOT know. I was ten, eleven? Women were throwing their underwear on stage. It was outrageous. But the man SANG.
At 80 years old he was recently interviewed by a female reporter and asked if women still threw their panties at him on stage. His answer?
"Depends"....
He married his wife in 1957 (he was 17), and they stayed married until she died in 2016.
Make of that what you will.
Tom admitted a few years ago that he slept with up to 250 women a year during the height of his fame, while he was married, so don't give people a false impression.
@@jamescrane2156 I'm aware. Are you familiar with the phrase "make of that what you will?" The fact is, they married young and stayed married until she died. She even knew about his affairs. Got arrested once for hitting him because she was angry about it.
Didn't divorce him.
They stayed married until she died.
@@jamescrane2156 just what I was thinking

@@chrisd7047 these are more likely his wife's words, just saying 🤷🏼♀️
Love that saying, “if your glass is empty you can’t pour into someone else’s drink and you don’t want someone pouring into yours if you are not ready drink” , funny and brilliant, love and peace guys
People used to dress up classy! Mr. Jones is from Wales in Great Britain! Thanks for your wonderful reaction!
This was made in the time when you could hear everything the singer says, and no cursing was needed to get the point across.
Yes that's Tom Jones he appeared in the Prince of Bel-Air one of the most popular songs he has Out is it's not unusual to be loved by anyone or if not the most popular song
Yeah, real music, unlike the shat these days!
I heard Tom for the first time when I was 5yrs old and I remember falling in love at 5 and most amazing thing is that I still love Tom Jones today to me the greatest singer that ever heard Amen
He's 80 now and still brilliant. He's our Welsh boy
and can still sing
This is why they call Wales the land of song
You just experienced the "magic" that was or rather IS Tom Jones! Incomparable!
I saw him in concert in Chicago and I was completely surprised by the power of his voice
I was 5 in 1967. President was Lyndon B. Johnson. 1967 Ford Fairlane, 1967 Ford Falcon, 1967 Ford Thunderbird, 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix. Was just some of the cars. Now he's 80 years old and on The Voice UK
I'm a 1970 baby😁 by 1975 I had my mini bell bottoms dancing to this at weddings💃🕺🏼
The seventies were the disco days. Polyester suits.
Afro hairdos! And some of the greatest singers! The music was great, understandable, great to dance to. Between the 60's and the seventies were true entertainers. Elvis, Tom Jones, Donna Summer, Temptations, Supremes, Four Tops Paul Anka, I could go on and on!We fell in and out of love. This music gave us wonder memories!!
I was 8 yrs old in 1967. My Dad was in the Vietnam War, my Mom drove a Ford Pinto , and we were not allowed to wear pants to school is pretty much what I remember. I do know that when TomJones was in concert women would throw their panties on the stage to him. In 2006 he became Sir Tom Jones by Queen Elizabeth . When we saw him in Vegas, women were still throwing their panties on the stage --------- I love your smiles
You two are priceless to watch, I love the playfulness you both have
Thx! I was a boy when this song came out. All the moms on the street would call each other if he was in the TV guide that night and get together with their wine coolers! Even at that age I could feel these songs! We had a blue Rambler station wagon. Next door neighbor had a Chevy impala. We had a field at the end of the street where I kissed Susie and she slapped my face!
Never fight or harm someone that don't wanna be with you. I guess there's nothing left to do but cry.
It's so great to see you young folks loving the songs from my era, God bless
Love Sir Tom, what a voice, gets me every time this song, thanks for sharing, you guys rock ❤️
My favorite song ever!! Tom's voice... UNBELIEVABLE!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE TOM🥰
Tom Jones done brought that on home. Tom had Oomph. What a fine react by the Sippingtons.
Wow, Tom Jones has such a big voice! He's still signing here and there on variety shows from time to time.
You guys are fun to watch!!!
Born in 66...Too much Heaven...Unchained Melody...and this...are my top 3!!!
Tom,Tom,Tom........you set the bar in '67
Now at the age of 80...you still got it?
What!!! Delilah....✔ it out!
he was 63 still sounded just like that!
I love when people find Tom Jones and love him as much as we do when we saw him a long time ago on TV
He's a legend & we in Britain are very proud of him.
Tom recently turned 80 and he still has it.....:) Excellent reaction and review...
Yes this was old school where u can understand the words .awesome music was music then great memories
I just love you guys. Never fail to make my laugh. Tom Jones, he was considered another Elvis.
I was 13 when this song came out. His weekly show was so popular. We were all in love with him! I believe he is the best male vocalist ever. I would like to heard more comment on his incredible voice instead of the lyrics.
Check out Tom with Peter Donnegan on 'The Voice UK'.... same song, Tom aged in his 70's, still killing it.
Thank you for this! Sir Tom Jones is an amazing singer, I'm glad you both enjoyed this!
Great reaction....2 things....the song writing is one thing if a person agree with a subject matter or not...but there is NO denying the power of this man vocals, his delivery and powerful mastery of the song!
What an incredible time for music. All genres unspeakable songwriting & performers. I was blessed to grow up during 60’s & 70’s 🕊♥️
There are Legends and then there's Tom Jones ...
Besides the words of the song, the man could sing!!!
No synthetic... Just pure voice.
I think this is one of the Best Live performances of all time..
At the end he says Plz don't make me fall in love again.. ♠W.G.
Sir Mr SMOOOOTH!!🥰🎶Still phenomenal at 80 years old!
His version of "I Who Have Nothing" is my favorite. Try him doing "It's Not Unusual" as well. Tom Jones is still alive and singing at the ripe young age of 80.
Not many people can deliver a song like Sir Tom Jones (yes he was knighted). Hard to believe he’s over 80 now but still going strong. And Tome never had a hard time getting the ladies lol
It never ceases to amaze me how he is still able to sing with such power. Most singers have lost most of their vocal range way before his current age. He is amazing.
@@MsAppassionata he’s that one in a million talent.
@@j20tower The only other person like that that I can think of off of the top of my head is Tony Bennett.
@@MsAppassionata I did security for Bennet. He fired me because I wouldnt go over to a young girl and get her phone number. I gently explained that it wasnt part of my job. I didnt do pervs. No matter how nice their voice might be. I'm glad he fired me. I had enough other celebs to work for.
Classic 4/4 slow ballad with 3/4 double time feel.
Came into the world with a splash. Lord have mercy. Haha.....double entendre........LMAO. Great line. Your lady got it too.
I was 11 and loved Tom Jones.
Sir tom still sings today, 6 decades in music, legend
I just know you're gonna love this.
In 1967,,,,, cars were Camaro, Mustang, GTO... Clothes were White shirts and skinny black ties, and singers were TOM JONES! 👍
this is the voice . One of the worlds master of his trade
If you like Tom singing this song, you will LOVE him singing Impossible Dream and You're My World. WOW!
I've never cried more laughing to a reaction like this before she is hilarious 😂
Tom Jones can SANG! not just sing but SANG!!
That was great. What a song! What a voice. Fun to listen to you guys. Stay healthy! Greetings from Germany
I absolutely loved your after comments. Very wise advice.
Thank you both love your reactions
Look ma, no auto-tune! Pure talent on live tv. What a set of pipes!
I've never cracked up laughing so much to a reaction before, she was hilarious
Great Song. Great Reactions. Great Comments. Thank You!
He was 27 years old when he sang this a Welsh coal miner discovered singing in a local pub
Tom's favorite singer was/is Wilson Picket and they did a medley of songs on the "This is Tom Jones" TV show!!! You can immediately see Wilson's influence on Tom!!! It's on UA-cam.
thank you ...i gets my friday brew too :)
I was born in 1967...sept. (its cold in the NW come winter hehe)
67 was great for cars! GTO my fav!!!
Music at it's best!! Think about it fifty five years ago!! Don't knock it.....it was great being a teenager back then!! Listen to more music from the sixties it will open your mind eyes and ears!!
I got booked into a club once as the Tom Jones Revue. When the audience came and saw they had been scammed they rioted and beat the shit of our singer,
I was 6yrs old. You both are babies. I even had the privilege of seeing him perform as a young person.
My mom is still a BIG fan. We (my sister) & I, would accompany my mom to his show(s).
I was 10 years old in 1967. To busy riding my banana seat bike to know anything about romantic love. But when I did, oh boy! Song like this were worn out on the record player.
I went to see Sir Tom Jones on 6July 2024 in Chepstow in Wales 🏴he still sounds the same and he is 84 what a voice what a performer x
There are no singers around today like Sir Tom 🥰
Tom Jones is now Sir Tom Jones as given to him by the Royal Family of England. He is now 80 years old and is the lead judge on the television series The Voice UK.
As someone who experienced the '60s, I can tell you (for sure) that if a man found his woman in another man's arms, there was violence to follow indeed! Remember folks, Tom Jones is singing a song now... so the lyrics gotta be mellowed down somewhat! Lol In 1967 when Mr. Jones sang this song, the country was already in turmoil. Ok, so I was only ten years old. But that alone didn't excuse you from seeing crazy stuff going around the country. The one thing I believe we had (at least in New York) was a close community among our fellow neighbors. We looked out for one another. Sadly, those days are long gone now.
This was done on BBC TV in front of a live audience with a live orchestra, he just walked out cleared his throat and sang from start to finish no do overs.
Loved the reaction. Didn't expect life advice, but that was great too. Thanks
You guys are hilarious :D LOL !!! Love the reaction. Tom Jones is very passionate when he sings.
She cracks me up!!
SER TOM JONES IS 81AND STILL SINGS.
Living legend!!!
Great job, love your "still cooking" I be laughing right with you all
That was my pops shit, every Saturday he would play Tom Jones joints.. Tom Jones was that throw your panties on the stage type dude, soulful and cool.... great video
The Beatles Sgt Pepper album came out in 1967 and changed the world
Just watching you laugh at the beginning had me smiling & laughing.
His lerformace tells it all
Glad y'all got to hear Tom He was and still is great. 80 yrs. Great reaction as always.
*Lyricist Hal David wrote this song for the 1968 musical Promises, Promises. Tom Jones was married to Melinda since 1957 until she died in 2016 of Cancer. No, she never cheated on him but he did with his wife. He fathered a son with Katherine Berkery named Jonathan Berkery, during one of his affairs and he has only one son with Melinda named Mark Woodward. Tom Jones real name is Thomas John Woodward.*
Jonathan Berkery currently a homeless busker in New Jersey.*
Awh Guy's what a fantastic genuine heartfelt educational reaction ❤️😍🤗
You’re right life is short when you wake up in the morning you said today is my best day otherwise there’s no next day praise the Lord
I love you enthusiasm. Rest assured (I was born in 1946 and grew up with this cat), the “B” who broke his heart was not eating cake after he sang this song cause he was singing his a$$ off after that! You go, Tom.
Watch Tom's rendition of this song "Never fall in love again" , impromptu Live as a judge on The Voice.
I like y'all first of all. I just discovered your channel, and I agree with everything you said, and that was "Raw Pain." Whether he was coming from a personal place or just singing for all of us who loved and lost he was expressing it in a powerful way!! I will stay tuned for your next video.
I was born 67 and another one of Tom’s tracks ‘The Green Green Grass of home was no1 in the uk. He was amazing then and still appears on tv in the uk version of The Voice, still singing and still being a legend
His name is actually Thomas John Woodward.....the Jones was his mother’s maiden name....and he is now a knight so he is Sir Thomas John Woodward and such a wonderful man that he literally paid his father to retire years early out of the coal mines...a truly good son....and was married to his wife for 59 years until her death in 2016...a super singer.
