I was his bassist in 1978 and ‘79. He is an amazing singer that never resorted to any fake tuning or electronics. He refused to let the sound men use compressor/limiters on his voice. A true natural talent and entertainer as well as just a nice guy. Always treated us like family. He always gave 100% on every performance! I liked your comparison to Otis Redding regarding soul and real.
One of the most amazing singers in recent history. His power, emotion, and sex appeal were unmatched. Women wanted him and men wanted to be him. So many good songs from him.
Sir Tom Jones is an Icon...82yrs old and hasn't lost a step...Between touring he is a coach on the Voice UK...One of a kind singer...Been at the top for over 60yrs, Incredible...
Tom Jones is one of the greatest singers of all time. He is a Welshman and a good friend of Elvis. Tom is alive and well in his 80s and is a judge on the talent show called "THE VOICE". He still has a great voice.
Tom Jones was my mom's favorite singer. I remember when he came on tv in the 60's my mom would sit with her face 8 inches from the tv. I took her to one of his concerts when she was in her 50's and she screamed like a teenager. LOL
As a birthday present, I took my 12-year-old sister to a Tom Jones concert. We sat way in the back because that's all the ticket price I could afford. All of a sudden, my sister jumped up from her seat, ran all the way to the front, rushed the stage and kissed Tom! What a riot and a favorite memory from my teen years.
Tom Jones is a legend. He was a sexy beast during the 70s and 80s and even insured his chest hair. You've def seen him in the later parts of his career. He plays himself in "Mars Attacks!" by Tim Burton. He has an amazing voice. The Welsh can sing their butts off.
He is Welsh. This was written by Lonnie Donegon. A legendary Skiffle artist and great friend he gave it to him. On the voice a couple of years ago his son was a contestant and after his audition they talked and then did this song together it was so special.

I worked in a bakery 30 years ago and the cake decorator loved Tom Jones, he was her muse. She'd crank up the cassette player and decorate away to his singing. Good times.
... still breaks this woman's heart, and it's more than fifty years later, hearing this powerful yet tender song from Tom Jones again, remembering my first heart break. We all feel it PR. 💙💙
There's a reason his peers called him 'the voice' 🏴🔥🔥🔥 Sir Tom Jones 🏴🔥🔥🔥 Duets with Janis Joplin and Little Richard will bring joy to your soul
I saw Tom in concert 3 years ago. It was among my 5 top concerts. His voice is as strong as it was in the 60s. His stage presence, his physicality, his sexiness, the production, everything. I fell in love with him when I was 12 years old……56 years later it’s the same feeling about this phenomenal performer.
Please dive real deep!! His music is timeless and-at 82 yrs young, he's still got it!! Back in the day during his concerts women would throw panties and hotel room keys on the stage...no lie!!😎 He was known for his dance moves and incredible swag!🎶 He is from Wales🎵🎶
TJ was a HUGE fan of OR. Tom is one of the greatest male vocalist bar none. His lung capacity is something to behold. I seen Tom twice in the '80s and once in the 90s and each time was an unbelievable experience. The power fills the entire theater. It was always an experience that I will never forget.
I am partial to "Delilah"= ua-cam.com/video/MIIU9xkGAMs/v-deo.html Or the medley with Stevie Wonder = ua-cam.com/video/E9Cl4xuFCJg/v-deo.html For a more recent Tom, check out him singing "It is a man´s world with Jennifer Hudson. = ua-cam.com/video/5_Ox34opf_U/v-deo.html
He still got at the age of 82. I’m at the age where I got to see him perform live. My mother was a huge fan. So I got to see him several times in concert. It was cheaper to go to concerts, then to pay a babysitter. He had a TV show at one time. Where he performed a medley with Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, Wilson Pickett, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Cher, Joe Cocker and the list goes on and on. He’s now a coach on The Voice. On the Voice, they must’ve been taking a break. The audience encouraged Tom to sing. Jennifer Hudson and will.i.am were also judges. What touched my heart, was that Jennifer and will.i.am knew what a treasure Tom is. Even though, chances are their parents weren’t even born when Tom was at its height. It’s possible the grandparents were even born. But they knew, he is a treasure.
One of the most versatile voice, STILL today in his 80s, who ever hit the industry. If you’ve watch Fresh Prince of Bel Air, you’ve heard Tom Jones. He was Carlton’s idol…The Carlton Dance😅 Elvis was his idol, Elvis loved Tom Jones’ voice. Eventually became close friends to the end.
Tom Jones, Sir Tom Jones that is! He is Welsh-born, around 1940. His voice is amazing. I got to watch him weekly on his entertainment TV show in the early 70's. He was a judge on the Voice too, for a few years. His career is definitely not a one hit wonder. I love this song Never Fall in Love and the following; - Without Love - I who have nothing - Delilah - Sex Bomb - You're My World - What's New Pussy Cat Just too many to list
I’ve seen Sir. Tom Jones in concert three times. Never a moment without full commitment on stage. Glad someone as young as you can appreciate truly inspiring talent. Sir. Tom Jones voice is still iconic and he challenges himself to perform many different types of songs from different generations of music.
This man is still killin it! He was a ladies man, a dancer, a singer EXTRODIANAIRE, had a show on TV, he sang with Ella, Tina, Frank, Janice... ALL THE GREATS and remained married to the love of his life until recently.. he's heartbroken and still touring and touching us all with his depth and conviction.
Men have a lot of existential pride that gets in the way when it comes to emotional relationships. We hurt deeply; we hurt for a long -- sometimes a long, long time. And very often, we never recover... We may not die by arrows, but we certainly die by rejection.
TREAT HER RIGHT from his TV show is phenomenal. Different from this in many ways but still incredible! He had many guests on his show and sang duets with some of the most famous singers of that time - FROM ALL GENRES .
One hit wonder? Aah..no way! LOL! I was a kid when Tom was big..but I cried when I heard him do this song. He made me feel his pain. He's an awesome singer.
So many listeners thought he was a black singer. We only heard him on the radio. Even Elvis thought he was a black singer. I don’t think Tom has ever hit a wrong note.
The lyrics were written by a man named Lonegan for Tom Jones to sing. Sir Tom is a judge on the Voice UK and a couple years ago the son of the lyrics writer was a contestant on that show. Sir Tom and the son performed a duet of that song and it brought the house down. Check it out. He's a class act.
Not particularly my thing, but you have to say he had/has one hell of a voice, and so much emotion. Truly a master class of singing power. Personally I'm a rocker but I take my hat off to Mr.Jones. I remember watching him as kid on TV and my mum loved him. Nowadays he's on a talent spotting show here in Britain 🇬🇧......and can teach the youngsters a thing or two about singing. Two of his big hits were "Delilah" and "The green green grass oh home". Check them out......you'll not be disappointed.
Check out when Tom sang with John Farnham when they were on tour together in Australia, rocking a cover of AC/DC's "It's A Long Way To The Top [If You Want To Rock And Roll]." Both singers are incredible powerhouses. Watch Tom also in other duets on his TV show back in 1969... so many awesome performances with top artists of the time like Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles. You should definitely check out one of the shows where he sang with Janis Joplin ("Raise Your Hand') and one with Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young ("Long Time Gone"). Tom is phenomenal, loves all kinds of music, is masterful in many genres, and has had many hits, adapting/updating his image and styles over six decades! Some notable songs include one of his first hits, "It's Not Unusual," and "I Who Have Nothing," "Green, Green Grass Of Home," "Delilah," "She's A Lady," "What's New, Pussycat," and "Thunderball." More hits came later... such as "Burning Down the House," "Sexbomb," "If I Only Knew," "Burning Hell," "Tower Of Song," and others, including his cover of Bob Dylan's "One More Cup Of Coffee." Tom is still singing, touring, and recording... and his voice at age 82 is still incredible, rich, and powerful! His most recent album dropped in May of 2021 and shot to No.1 on the UK album charts!
My favorite male singer of all time. Nothing compares. I've been through rock, punk, and all that came after and I still love him, and this is my favorite song. I am so glad you got to discover him.
I have been a fan of Tom Jones for over 40 years. You might say he was my first crouch. He has lots of great songs Delilah, I Who Have Nothing, Not unusual and more. TY for putting him on. BTW he is no "One Hit Wonder".
The requester is a Cool Grandma !! He has been one of my favorites since I was a little girl. The theme song to OO7's Thunderball made me want to become a Bond girl. I was 7 yrs old.
Such a powerful voice. You need to see Tom sing "I Who Have Nothing," imo, the live version on Tom's own TV show (This is Tom Jones) in 1970 is the best. Look forward to you reaction!
This is certainly one of the best live performances by a singer of all time. 100 years from now people's jaws will still be dropping hearing his powerful and emotive vocals.
Sir Tom spent much of his singing time from 1967 in the USA in Las Vegas. Due to his live work and television shows, for a few decades he neglected his recording career. The best vocalist of his type the UK has ever produced by far in his genre, and maybe in the top 3 in the world.
Fantastic. Tom jones is a 6-decade wonder. Still singing. He is a judge on the voice UK. His The Green Green Grass of home is also wonderful. Oh, have you heard/reacted to a song written specifically for Otis Redding by the Bee Gees? It is called To Love Somebody. When Redding died in a plane crash just before recording it, the Bee Gees decided to do it themselves. Phenomenal. It is also a late 60s era song
Tom still has that voice - in fact, he's one of the judges on The Voice - occasionally he'll sing alone or in a duet & even once I watched him sing with a contestant!
Tom is now 82 and can still kick vocal booty! Listen to his duet with Jennifer Hudson of "It's A Man's World" This was sung while they were both judges on "The Voice UK". Also, the son of the man who wrote this song was a contestant on the show and he and Tom performed this song! He is the singer of the song "It's Not Unusual" to which Carlton does his famous dance moves on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and after watching this video you can see where Alfonso took inspiration from Tom on some of his expressions! Good reaction!
No hit wonder here, Sir Tom Jones has hits longer than you've been born, and is still kicking it at 82! Still sounds like he's in his twenty's! You would be amazed that white guys do really have soul as you put it! Great music has no color barrier, get ready to be shocked the farther you go down the Rabbit hole especially in the 60s & 70s...
I like how you look slightly skeptical or almost as if you're expecting heartbreak, when he really lets loose those pipes ~ as if you're expecting him to fail: for his voice to break or hit a false note, cuz no-one can sing like that today... well, he doesn't fail... cuz that there is Tom Jones, my good man 😉👉 * also, who cares if he's "white" or "black" ~ souls don't have skin colors, right? And Tom sure got soul! 😙👌
Tom Jones and Janis Joplin...duet on his show...Raise your Hand up...fantastic Performance.. Sir Tom, judge on the Voice, check out a clip still singing, sounds great... Love Tom, Soul comes in many colors..just like Righteous Brothers...Elvis, ... Enjoying your Channel 😊
There's a few people been saying, and it has crossed my mind, that Otis Redding has reincarnated as a white guy in Australia named Josh Teskey of the Teskey Brothers. Someone had reacted to Josh singing "Rain" on "The Color Show" ,and it just blew my mind how much this man sounds like Otis.
Timeless, Amazing, God given voice. The one and only. Whoever comes close? Just divine. Nobody can hold a candle for Tom. He's the greatest singer ever! Bravo ! Continue to rock dear Tommy!!!
You've heard at least one other of his hits on Fresh Prince of Belair, which is sort of the theme music for Carlton's "whitey" dance: It's Not Unusual. According to Wikipedia, Jones continues to tour and record, and has been a judge for many years now on the UK version of The Voice. I had never heard this particular song until UA-cam reactors started discovering it, and it's noow my favorite of his. When I was a kid he had a TV show I watched from time to time. He appeared as himself in Mars Attacks and it was cool and funny As Foretold. Thanks for giving this a try and letting us watch you respond as we did. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Jones_(singer)
That Dance in now referred to as "The Carlton". Legendary. In fact, its so legendary that there are lawsuits against video game companies for using it as a dance for your Character. Imagine that.

Polo, seven short years ago he was singing "Saint James Infirmary" with Rhiannon Giddens. I think you'll like it a lot.

Thanks Robert for the insight! Love this. Always heard he was a down to earth artist. I’m a bass player myself, thanks brother.
What "fake tuning" in '78/'79?
You also played with Diane warren, Dixie chicks, Michael Bolton and Leann rimes also just to name a few 😁👍
U were so lucky!! I always loved his voice.
That's so cool
Sir Tom is Welsh. Man, can the people of Wales sing!! 🏴
One of the most amazing singers in recent history. His power, emotion, and sex appeal were unmatched. Women wanted him and men wanted to be him. So many good songs from him.

Tom Jones and Englebert humperdink + Diana Ross....on repeat when I was a kid 😂
As a birthday present, I took my 12-year-old sister to a Tom Jones concert. We sat way in the back because that's all the ticket price I could afford. All of a sudden, my sister jumped up from her seat, ran all the way to the front, rushed the stage and kissed Tom! What a riot and a favorite memory from my teen years.
“It’s Not Unusual” is a signature song of his.
Oh, yes!
Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air always did his famous dance to this dance.
My mother melted every time this man opened his mouth and started singing. LOL
“I Who Have Nothing” is another great song. Tom has many hits, he had a TV show where he did duets with some of the top artists of that time
I love all his songs. Green green grass of home is one of my favorites

Listen to his It's Not Unusual. Featured on fresh prince. Alfonso dancing to it.

Tom Jones comes from a long tradition of Welsh singers and actors known for their powerful voices.
From Wales, UK. He still going strong to this day😊❤ .
Tom Jones can still sing- he can really belt it out, and he’s 80! Still hits those notes that give you chills. ❤
Not only could he sing his heart out, but he had some crazy moves that women loved!! Check them out!! 🕺 🕺 🕺
He is still touring he had his own show we had him every week back then it was magic. Elvis called him the voice.
Tom Jones is a legend. He was a sexy beast during the 70s and 80s and even insured his chest hair. You've def seen him in the later parts of his career. He plays himself in "Mars Attacks!" by Tim Burton. He has an amazing voice. The Welsh can sing their butts off.

I love Otis Redding too!!!
I remember how women in the audience threw their panties at him, too! LOL! He had half the women in the US in love with him back in the day!
He can still sing like this today. He's on The Voice in the UK. (In his 80's!)
Tom still is "the man." No one-hit wonder - at 82 now, he still is a great "crooner." I like your channel. I'll be tuning back in. Thank you.
Delilah by Tom Jones
Tom Jones has performed non stop in forever. 😂😂😂
He definitely has a cult following! Everytime you hear him you cant help but turning it up! ❤️
No computer correction voice crap used by today's singers....thia is live TV..pure talent

Ole Tom has still got it! We love watching clips from The Voice UK where he breaks out for the audience.
Men have a lot of existential pride that gets in the way when it comes to emotional relationships. We hurt deeply; we hurt for a long -- sometimes a long, long time. And very often, we never recover... We may not die by arrows, but we certainly die by rejection.
A fun fact that may tie Tom Jones closer to your age cohort is that he was Carlton’s favorite singer on the show Fresh Prince of Bel Air

He's Welsh. Still living. In his 80's. Got to see him live and he sounded just like he does on this video. No auto tune back then.
Such a powerful voice. You need to see Tom sing "I Who Have Nothing," imo, the live version on Tom's own TV show (This is Tom Jones) in 1970 is the best. Look forward to you reaction!

He had his own show and sang with some absolute legends ! Aretha Franklin, Sammy Davis junior, little Richard, need I go on ? 😂
Tom Jones - I Won't Crumble With You If You Fall he took care of his wife for years before she died of breast cancer. he sang this song for her
💜
Tom had the big voice as a young child. He was destined to be a world class singer. I don’t think he ever missed a note. Flawless singer ❤

He is still going strong today at 82 & doing concerts, my daughter in law has just seen him & said he was fantastic. ❤️🇬🇧
Tom Jones has an amazing voice. I love to see the reaction on people's faces that hear Tom for the first time. Unbelievable voice.
Tom Jones…they broke the mold after he was born!
Tom is the only "celebrity " that I am in awe of. He is the best singer in the ❤❤❤world! I love him!
Polo, I just love your reaction to Tom Jones. ❤😢😢😢
Sir Tom Jones is 82 and is currently touring the US. He was on the Voice UK and is still a powerful singer.
A master artist. My favorite song of his is I Who Have Nothing. It will blow you away
I saw him close up at a small venue in 1970. He's amazing.
Hes awesome Green Green Grass of home will rip a tender heart up
Still one of my favourite songs.
Man he is 80 plus now and still sings at full power, live.
Soul Has No Color. You Know That.
I am also a grandma who loves your channel. Tom Jones was a coal miner from Wales. White guy. My Mom loved his music! ❤
He is so present throughout the performance.
I also Love his song "I who have nothing".
This man had some serious Pipes!!
Thank you 👍
I like how you look slightly skeptical or almost as if you're expecting heartbreak, when he really lets loose those pipes ~ as if you're expecting him to fail: for his voice to break or hit a false note, cuz no-one can sing like that today... well, he doesn't fail... cuz that there is Tom Jones, my good man 😉👉
* also, who cares if he's "white" or "black" ~ souls don't have skin colors, right? And Tom sure got soul! 😙👌
Ahhh Tom Jones, from my home town of Wales. He is still singing now, he's more handsome now and his voice is still on point!
it's all good! One of my favorites is, "What's up Pussycat".
Tom Jones is awesom!!
Tom Jones voice is epic!
But my favorites are Nat King Cole and Marvin Gaye.
Trouble Man is so brilliant, I have no words for...
Sir Tom Jones, the soundtrack of my childhood. I love this guy... Cymru am Byth .....🏴♥️🥰
Thats the definition of a "Masterclass" performance!
Tom Jones was a judge on The Voice and sang this same song at age 80! And was just as powerful! Watch it!
Love Tom Jones
Cliff Hale “whitey dance “😂
That Dance in now referred to as "The Carlton". Legendary. In fact, its so legendary that there are lawsuits against video game companies for using it as a dance for your Character. Imagine that.
