congrats on finishing your treatment . may you be blessed everyday steve . even through this difficult time ,you have still given your fans content ,and that can,t of been easy . and every one of us , is thankful for the dedication and luv you have shown your subscribers . your a dam legend man . the world needs more people like you in it .
Steve , Congrats on finishing treatment. You are one of my favorite repair techs on youtube. You inspired me to fix my black xbox one I had. The disk drive quit reading and i wasnt replacing the motherboard and the disk drive. So I put a one terabyte ssd in as internal memory and then where the disk drive use to be I installed a 4 terabyte external hard drive with the help of a 3d printer ,( made the bracket to hold the external harddrive) . But I had a friend help me solder the wires . Now I have a black xbox one thats all digital with 5 terabytes of storage.
Mr. TronicsFix sir (i don’t know your actual name but…) I just wanted you to know that you have been a big inspiration of mine. Not only in fixing electronics, but to appreciate them and what makes them tick, to the point that I am now studying to become an electronics engineer. I’ve been watching you since I was still in high school. I hope and pray for your good health and for you to be able to beat this illness completely 🙏. You are awesome 💙
Hi Steve! I'm happy to see you're in remission! Every Friday I open your channel hoping for an amazing video and hoping to hear how you are doing! My wife went through this battle, I was by her side every session and I have an idea of how easy it is. But just like her, you beat cancer and never stopped doing what you love! I wish you good health! Love from Brazil!
Steve, I usually not comment much but your channel have been a source of entertainment for me since a long time now. It makes me extremely happy to know you finished your treatment, I hope I can continue enjoying your content for many years to come. Congratulations on beating cancer, you are incredibly strong!
😮 hold on what's going on I think I completely missed that I was actually going to make a comment and asked if he was doing all right but I'm guessing from the looks of things in your comment here I can get a vague idea of what's going on hopefully everything works out for the best and I will just be a story that you can tell us about in 10 years
I’ve been watching for years. Now Ive started to restore and fix old consoles. I was so sad to find out you had cancer. My dad did to, and you both beat it! Screw cancer man! Keep doing your good work my friend, to many years of ridding the world of e waste!❤
I love seeing how my therapist works on the inside 😂 In all seriousness, thanks for all of your content, entertainment, and education. This is the gamer's PBS (That's a compliment)
Greetings from Chile brother. I lost my older sister to cancer she was 29 the age I am now I miss her very much I'm glad you were able to win the battle she lost. I wish you a long and healthy life full of happiness. Happy remission!
Congratulations on finishing your treatments brother. You seem like a genuinely great guy and I’ve been drawn to your page for some time and you’ve been putting out great content while facing your own challenges.
Maybe it was a new connector that was damage with a heat gun...Thats what it looked like to me...I don't know how you could do that with just the cable
You’ve worked the “Perfect amount of thermal paste” angle to death and I still absolutely love it! I really appreciate your practical approach to things as well as your sense of humor. You are definitely a natural entertainer and I thoroughly enjoy every video.
Happy to hear you beat cancer Steve! Your videos were always a massive joy to watch and even got me to spend some money on an iFixIt toolkit. I recently bought a PS4 Slim which was suffering from overheating and because of your videos I was able to fix that (with the perfect amount of thermal paste ofc) Here's to more videos in the future!
Hey Steve, I just stumbled across your channel because I believe I need to replace the power supply in my series x and saw one of your older videos on it and then came to this one and saw you were not only fighting but you were winning your battle and I have to say amazing job! My Dad had cancer twice and worked through both of his treatments and honestly keeping his mind busy helped immensely with the effects of treatment like what your doing with small electronics repairs. Best wishes for ya and keep up the good fight!
Since i'm watching your videos steve, my live got way better. Applying the perfect amount of thermalpaste make's a huge difference. Even my dentist said my teeth are shining brighter. And with all that said.. Thank you steve For all your work.
Sir you've inspired me to start repairing faulty consoles of my own.. just finished a ps2 with a full clean and repair.. watching your videos has shown me the way...going to get into an xbox original soon.. keep up the great videos and look forward to many more years of your content.
It's been a while since I've seen your content, you're awesome, man. I don't recall the first time I've seen one of your videos, but it was an instant subscription years ago.
Hey man it had been a few months since i watched your vids and i was shook to learn that you had cancer congrats on finishing your treatment and beating cancer man.
I know I'd be over my head pretty quickly with this sort of repair, but you make it look so easy that I'd be tempted to try. Fun video to watch. Glad you've completed treatment!
Congrats on finishing your treatments, i find your vids very entertaining and helpful when i have time to watch them ,ive been learning to fix and diagnose laptops for many years now thanks to your vids and also the help from my dad to. Very glad to see you doing well and I hope your life continues to bless you with happiness ,love and so many more great things and just keep doing what you love doing.
Hello, I love watching your videos, especially the ones when you replace resistors or processors on a circuit board. I had 3 broken POE cameras and I was able to fix 2 by replacing 1 capacitor on each of them. I tried the same fix on the third one, with no luck. I also have a POE NVR that doesn't turn on, but the power brick does.
Dude you beat cancer very well done, I have cancer too If you can do It so can I, live your life, I have noticed while having treatment the little things matter now no matter how small.
Great Repair and Video! I see in the other comments, that you've finished your treatment, Congratulations!! Can't wait to see the hair come back. Feel Better Super Steve!!! 😁
So glad to see you're doing better! Still have quite a ps3 debacle if you're interested. Also, there's no way 880 Fahrenheit would do a clean job on something like this is there?
You make it look easy to replace an HDMI port. So i could see myself doing similar to the prior owner of this Xbox and getting a similar failed outcome. As in I'll fix it until it's still broken. Though watching you and Restorish does give me the confidence to at least crack open some of my older consoles to give them a nice clean and servicing. I do have a few that can use a perfect amount of thermal paste refresh.
I recommend just getting some old broken boards and just having some fun trying things, I always thought I was never going to be able to do these kinds of repairs. But after just tinkering with stuff that I don't care about I got the hang of things and can work on valuable things now!
Try to get any broken board of anything and try to replace something, or just try desoldering it. See how easy or hard it really is with your current skill and tools available.
Content is enjoyable as always but the thing is in this hard times with treatment and you still work this hard and beating the cancer and the daily life and working great like this maaaan you are a legend and inspiring me now i will be embarrassed from my self if i feel lazy some time More people like you in this universe wil make it adorable ❤❤❤❤
I love seeing a console that most would leave for dead be rehabilitated. I know it’s an inanimate object but it actually makes me sad to see such modern tech. be discarded. You’re doing important work.
Do you have a trick to being able to keep your hands steady when soldering? For example, from 9:00-9:26 when you're using your small iron I don't get how you can hit the individual pads. Is your arm just hovering over the board at that point or are you supporting it with your other arm? I just don't think I'd be able to be steady enough to do that. I enjoy your stuff, and I think (like another commenter) I'll start tinkering with things I don't care about. Glad you're done with treatments!
3:12 mightve just been because it was so tightly screwed the thermal pads got suctioned on. Like how a piece of paper can lift heavy things if the suction is just right
congrats on finishing your treatment . may you be blessed everyday steve . even through this difficult time ,you have still given your fans content ,and that can,t of been easy . and every one of us , is thankful for the dedication and luv you have shown your subscribers . your a dam legend man . the world needs more people like you in it .
That is so true 😊

He got .... the perfect amount of treatment!
Oh the disk drive is encrypted to the console.
Theres nothing that can stop this man from what he loves to do. That's why i love watching all his videos.
Dude congrats on beating cancer and even a stubborn xbox board, seriously, great to see you doing well and love your video's still amazing.
Mr. TronicsFix sir (i don’t know your actual name but…) I just wanted you to know that you have been a big inspiration of mine. He be like: I... (pause for dramatic effect) am Steve.
Steve congrats on beating cancer. You are one of my favorite repair techs on youtube.
Oh I didn’t know that I didn’t watch him for year and half and shocked why he’s bald.
WOW! Congrats on the diagnosis!!

I love how professionally you handle all the small mistakes, and how calmly you approach it
Thanks for sharing this
I hope your treatments are going well.
They are! I'm done with them! Finished the last one about two weeks ago.
😮 hold on what's going on I think I completely missed that I was actually going to make a comment and asked if he was doing all right but I'm guessing from the looks of things in your comment here I can get a vague idea of what's going on hopefully everything works out for the best and I will just be a story that you can tell us about in 10 years
@@Tronicsfix Thats great news, hope you recover well!
@Tronicsfix im so glad dude!
Son, just keep a positive attitude and keep yourself busy.
Love seeing you make a broken Xbox work again.
Happy to hear about the treatment and hope you feel better each day

😂 bro I 100% said that exact same thing the first time I saw him taking a ps5 apart.
I’m super happy for you finishing your treatment. I love watching your videos!

I’m so happy cancer is now in the past and you finished your treatments! May you stay healthy and live a fulfilling life cancer free!
Nice repair, it’s great you don’t tear apart the previous person who tried to fix it. Love you work man glad to see you are improving health wise.
Another great repair! Glad to see you are doing well Steve!
Hope you are doing okay! Great video as always
I've not seen an hdmi only damaged inside, but the metal not deformed.
A lot of the time the metal is deformed but I've seen just the internals messed up before. Sort of strange though for sure.
Maybe it was a new connector that was damage with a heat gun...Thats what it looked like to me...I don't know how you could do that with just the cable
It's impressive that you can open, take-apart, spot problems, fix them, put everything back together and it works.
Good job.
You’ve worked the “Perfect amount of thermal paste” angle to death and I still absolutely love it! I really appreciate your practical approach to things as well as your sense of humor. You are definitely a natural entertainer and I thoroughly enjoy every video.

You're the Bob Villa of electronic repair!! Congrats on your recovery 🎉🎉
Gotta wonder just how that chip got smashed. I’m glad it was straightforward to replace!
You make fixing things look so easy. Wish I had the confidence to try and fix some of things I break. 😀
Confidence comes from experience...you might as well try, it's already broken!
16:46 You are so humble! I really don't think that only the tools were missing to fix it..
CONGRATS ON REMISSION!! I bet you are very relieved and ready to just get back that energy and normalcy again
God help you to fix the cancer man.....so happy for you! Respect from Romania! You are the best in your business. God bless you

Can you smelllllllllll what Steve is soldering!!!! Always good to get my FIX before the weekend starts. Thanks.

I am sending all my love for a full recovery!

Congratulations on finishing your treatment here is to you having good health from now on!!! Ps your my favourite fixer guy on UA-cam lol
Sweet satisfaction just knowing another console was fixed. Keep it up
Congrats on finishing treatment, hopefully you’re now feeling better. I think I can see a few little hairs thinking about poking back out?!

A nice repair and a happy ending always gives me a smile! ❤ I'll take a look at that BW-100 too! Thanks.
I really wonder how you solder such small components! Hope your treatment is going well!
It takes a lot of practice but a microscope really helps too.
@@Tronicsfix And also good tools!
Hi Steve i love you videos they are so helpful and informative been watching for years iam from the UK keep the great videos coming thank-you.
Those were the cleanest hdmi pins I’ve ever seen on an Xbox. Looks like it came straight out of the factory
Wow that hdmi port is a bridge to far….
I have a good air station. What I stuggle with is deciding what temp and flow to use for what job. I feel I'm guessing most of the time.
I got my Series X through the Taco bell giveaway and its gone through 4 house moves, and it still doesnt even look 10% as damaged as that one 💀
Good to hear your voice friend.
Thanks again , I've learned a lot here.
Keep kickin azz brother.
Hello Steve! Greetings from Tijuana Mexico. I hope your treatments are going well. Great Video as always.
Hey thanks! I've been to Tijuana! Love Mexico!
wow that one poor xbox series x... i got shocked as you opened the box x.x
Ha, ha...yeah, I wasn't sure all the parts would be there but they were. It's always nice when sellers actually send all the parts!
BW-100 looks amazing, but I can't see it in the UK. I hope they can start shipping over here soon.
Great video as always, was just wondering what tools do you have to zoom onto the board to view it better for work you have done in this video?
I love the "viewer tried to fix..." because I know some day I'm gonna be one of those viewers
you always astound me. i struggle with keeping focused when things go wrong. your can do attitude is inspirational. thank you!
That is such a good feeling! Well done on this one!
So glad to see you're doing better! Still have quite a ps3 debacle if you're interested. Also, there's no way 880 Fahrenheit would do a clean job on something like this is there?

I hope you live a long and happy life Steve, you are an inspiration.
Congratulations on the remission xx
I hope you’re feeling well, Steve.
Still looking forward to seeing your “I beat cancer” video.
I just replaced I think 15 out of 19 pads on one of these today, I didn't expect it to work, but surprisingly, it did.
Content is enjoyable as always but the thing is in this hard times with treatment and you still work this hard and beating the cancer and the daily life and working great like this maaaan you are a legend and inspiring me now i will be embarrassed from my self if i feel lazy some time

Nice job replacing that port :)
I think it is a little bit crooked :)
But if it fits, no problem.
Do you have a trick to being able to keep your hands steady when soldering? For example, from 9:00-9:26 when you're using your small iron I don't get how you can hit the individual pads. 3:12 mightve just been because it was so tightly screwed the thermal pads got suctioned on. Like how a piece of paper can lift heavy things if the suction is just right
Glad to hear that you are out of the rough!
