Hello Steve. Greetings from Senegal. I first want to thank you for your videos, your channel helps me a lot in the past. For this particular issue, I suspect it to be related with the Analogix Slimport ANX7580 Chip that could be faulty. It already happens to me in my first Steam Deck (I've tried everything, replacing screen, ribbon ended buying a new motherboard the first time). Then I got it replaced with one I've bought on eBay and it fixes the problem for me. Hoping this is your issue and that this will help. Wishing you a great recovering and a great day
You look great as always Steve even with the bald head. Happy your doing well with treatment and still have your normal bubbly personality. Just don't over work yourself and take care Steve. I still have a PS2 fat of mine to fix when I can get the time.

Had the same issue with my SD, even sent it in, and they couldn't fix it, so now it just sits around my house, waiting to be used for parts for my other 2 good decks. Enjoy your video's thanks!
@chriss1609 Huh well maybe just some bad luck and the chip the BIOS is saved to was bad. It can happen, nothing is ever perfect and flaws can pop up. Just one of those one in a million chances.

Steve, praying for your recovery. Regarding the problem with the steam Deck, sometimes it simply doesn`t read USB flash drives. Try a SSD card and it should work. Best regards!

indeed try a CH341 , few bucks worth the try
We need to like this post, maybe it'll work :)
The number times I have fought with my Deck to turn on / get the display to turn on is a massive blight on what is otherwise a perfect device.
Yeah, I think you're onto something here. I feel like it has to be something like this.

Where would the thermal paste go ?
Usually applied in perfectly excessive amounts before an ultrasonic scan. ;)

For some really weird reason this video was in spanish (not subtitles, but the audio) and it was freaking me out to hear you like that. I'm always eager to be surprised with your knowledge but today was something wild! Btw, I really hope you get better soon and thank you for spiring me in taking the step to open my own repair shop! Saludos desde Mexico!
Wishing you a great recovering and a great day
Praying for you swift recovery steve, I hope you can overcome this
Hats off to you. I wish you a speedy recovery! You are an inspiration to all of the DIY-fixers.
You look great as always Steve even with the bald head. Happy your doing well with treatment and still have your normal bubbly personality. Just don't over work yourself and take care Steve.

Hey Steve, I am sorry to find out you are sick. Hoping you recover quickly. Thanks for making all these cool videos, especially under the circumstances.
Had the same issue with my SD, even sent it in, and they couldn't fix it, so now it just sits around my house, waiting to be used for parts for my other 2 good decks. Enjoy your video's thanks!
Bummer it can't be fixed.
Did you ever try re-flashing the BIOS? Seems like something might be corrupted and something that might get overlooked by most.
@@SilvaDreams I did, yeah. Unfortunately, nothing has seemed to work, but it's okay. More parts!
@chriss1609 Huh well maybe just some bad luck and the chip the BIOS is saved to was bad. It can happen, nothing is ever perfect and flaws can pop up. Just one of those one in a million chances.
Love the new look, you’re giving me the Jimmy Iovine look!
Honestly praying you get better soon, and you recover to full strength and everything goes well man.
You so deserve it!
Also what would we do without your content ❤
That's a difficult troubleshoot.
Yeah, agreed. Wish there was a better way to diagnose software issues on these.
@@Tronicsfix Maybe there is some "boot process indicator" for NVME, just like for PCI\ISA was before?
Bald Steve + Broken Tech = SUPER STEVE!
Lots of love, keep up the great work!
Steve, praying for your recovery. Regarding the problem with the steam Deck, sometimes it simply doesn`t read USB flash drives.
Try a SSD card and it should work.
Best regards!
