This is my first time to watch this. I really would love to learn how to make this. I'd rather watch how it's made than reading the pattern. Thank you.
I don't normally post comments but felt I needed to after watching the video and reading through the comments. Although I would definitely love to see the first couple rows stitched, the video itself was very helpful for the trickier parts of the pattern. It was definitely stated in the video that it was meant to help when going along with the pattern. Since the video is only 11 minutes, I'm not sure how anyone thought this would end up being a more in depth tutorial. I appreciate the hard work you are putting into your patterns and the time you're taking to make your videos. This is my first time to your site and one of your videos and it won't be the last.
Lovely hat and yarn. But I havecto say imho for many of us "youtube watchers" writen patterns are not as easy to follow as watching a tutorial. I suppose some people rather prefer writen above video. But this is youtube. I guess you prefer us to visit your blog, which I'll do btw, but i'm from Argentina and though i read and understand some english , other non-english speakers/followers you may have here maybe understand better the video/visual instructions. Please if you consider uploading a mini tutorial of at least first rows of the waffle stitch would appreciate it so much, since you said you love that pattern or obsessed with it 😊. I think it looks very nice in a hat, and the colours you used lovely. Thank you!
I searched Crochet socks on pintrest and saw your socks there. After going to your site I saw the pics of the Cardigan and I fell in LOVE!! When I first saw the waffle stitich I was NOT a fan but after seeing your Cardigan and this hat.....I think I'm in LOVE!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Love the pattern video .. but I wish there was a little bit more of the part where the body of the hat was made. Seeing how the first few rows worked up would of been great to see.
@@lakesideloops4327 I realize you want viewers to visit your website, but.....what you commented would be so (so!) appreciated -- it seems to be more encouraging to "learners"/"first timers" w/any stitch, to watch (visual learners)! I was very very very excited to do this hat, until you skipped the video in the most important time. Plz make a tutorial for your work , its hard to do it without see how! Thank u.
Love your patterns. I have started mine with the mittens to fingerless gloves. I have started with the wrist band of 15 sts ribbing pattern to 28 rows, then followe your pattern to desired height5. I am donating for cancer in my area. thank you.
Would be nice if you talked about the number of chains you made for that adult medium , I wrote down the whole pattern which is difficult with carpal tunnel , it says ch 117 thought it seemed like alot and it is, so taking about that in your videos would be good
@Lakeside Loops your pattern state chain 117 for an adult large. I chained and joined as instructed and it seems really large. Also, it would be helpful to have a full video tutorial.
This is a very lovely hat with a very lovely design but you didn’t even work us through half of this work. It can be very sad at times I wasn’t expecting that but it’s alright I guess.
Hi Kimberly! Im a new subscriber and loving your videos! I love this hat, its so pretty! What kind and where do you get your blue/grey pom poms? I love them with your hats!

Hello...is there a mistake in your written pattern(free)...coz in round 3 we should start with DC ...then 2 backpost DC...according to waffle pattern...is yours different?
Hi Yeny! That's okay, I appreciate your comment. As I say in the video you need to download the pattern from Etsy/Ravelry OR you can find the full instructions on my blog for free (here: www.lakesideloops.com/watson-hat/) and follow along that way. I hope that helps! :)

The amount of chains for the size seem really off. Because for how many chains you say you need the hats are huge. I did less chains than you say to do for the baby and it fits me and I'm an adult.
Hi Lianna, I'm glad you wrote! Our gauges are probably different (I crochet really tightly) or our yarns may be different (the one I used is very thin). If you need any help making adjustments please don't hesitate to send me an email. :)

Beautiful hat but I would have liked to see how you did the actual waffle stitching. My version went from the chain and skipped to the end.
Puppy squeaks and loose ends are a great way to start my morning! Love all your designs

Thank You so much for sharing this it’s absolutely Stunning, going to make it now 💐💐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
If you wanted to use a 4 weight yarn, what size hook would you recommend? It’s a little hard for me to work with the finer yarn and small hooks…
The free pattern is on her blog, it has all the information you need. Hook size, type of yarn, a list of sizes from baby to adult etc.
Thank you so very much Carole! Really appreciate your note!

Ok question how many stitches did she say to do ?
She said for adult medium size but i didn't get how many chains.
Gibt es die erklärung auch auf deutsch?
You should show at least a few first rows. Some people need a visual along with the pattern.
Couldn't find the pattern on your blog and your video does not give hook size or stitch count or anything

Beautiful. The full pattern is on Pinterest.

hello
This pattern was no use to me. I can't read written patterns. Why put out half a video of a tutorial
I thought the pattern was free
Did I miss half the video??? Chain hook together half dc around and WHAT????? Fairy comes??????????????
Has anyone finished this hat and it was as the pattern? Because she starts with her chain of 105 then she she Skip to 31?? Lol
I would skip the hdc round. It makes the hat Too large at the brim.
Nice hat but not good tutorial. Could be more clear
What is the purpose of this tutorial?
To learn how to crochet the hat??
@@brittanymariee7183 oh, I'm missing something then...

I'm so sorry if you were expecting the full pattern within the video. The PDF of the pattern is also available on Etsy and Ravelry for anyone who wants to pay a small amount to download a printable version, yes, but that's stated in the video as well as on my website . . it is never my intention to mislead anyone. I hope that information helps and I appreciate your comment (it gave me an opportunity to address concerns others may have been having as well). Wishing you all the best!
