    CGMatter's tutorial: • Just ew...‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ...
    This isn't really a tutorial, more of a breakdown really. This video is made with the assumption that you already know the basics of Blender. I'm sorry that it isn't very beginner friendly but that isn't really what I do. Hope you learned something :D

    Saving and reimporting sims as alembics is genius, thanks a mil! I didn’t have a clue what alembics were and pow, super useful!

      How is this working? I exported the slected objects and forcefields as an alembics file, but when I import it into a new file basically the force fields are not doing anything anymore and the whole "animation" I had created before is gone?! Please help!

    Just recently came across your channel. I actually like the movement in yours better. Vincent is a boss tho. Good on you for drawing inspiration from other artists, not just within the confines of your chosen software. You have a good eye / taste on top. Keep the tuts coming! Cheers.

    Never really thought of stacking the export to alembic workflow more then once, thanks for this inspiration!

    if anyone has the ico-spheres eating one-another, remember to add the collision modifier to them as well

    Amazing tutorial and very clever use of the abc files . I just have a problem with the last Icosphere that has the part of the cloth around the smaller ones , it collapse by itself and doesnt stay on top of the smaller ones

      @attimp4  Рік тому

      You may have to flip the normals of the larger ico sphere. Also make sure you have collision on everything.

    I am truly sorry to ask for help. I used the same values, but the balls not really rotate around each other, but instead going into each other. Checked the values like 5 times on each object and force. Is it using some metric or centimeter system that needs to be set upfront to get the correct collision behavior?

    • @TallyHD
      @TallyHD Рік тому +1

      I found the solution.
      1. Click the ball
      2. Go to the physics properties on the right panel
      3. Above the "Cloth" button, there is also a "Collission" button. Make sure to enable that as well.
      4. It should work now :)

    Whats the scale of your icospheres? My icospheres just spin and merge into eachother. Even though i got the same collision as you

      I have these enabled, but sadly have the same problem still. the icosphere's spin and merge in to each other, glitching and ripping in the process @@TallyHD

      @@leenbakker110 Hmm that's weird, the solution above was the fix for me. Did you apply the scale with Control A before simulating?

      @@leenbakker110 Another SOLUTION is about THE FORCEFIELDS
      I had the same problem. Collission and Cloth Settings were activated.
      The balls also weren't turning in one direction (like in the video) and were destructing each other. There must be something wrong with the forces.
      I tried to copy the locations of the turbulent forcefields and it worked.
      The second time i tried, the balls had different locations and it worked when I added another forcefield and played around with it's location.
