Also just wanted to add I totally hear you guys on the premiere thing- for next month’s upload, I’ll set it to private and switch to premiere just an hour before, and if that still isn’t working for a lot of you we’ll dump the premieres altogether lol.
It’s fun to be able to chat with everyone as we watch, and it’s supposed to give a boost in the algorithm, but I see so much anger and frustration about premieres in the comments and definitely want you guys to feel heard and seen. 💗 your feedback really matters to me (maybe too much, my therapist says lololol), and we’re still experimenting with what works best for our viewers and the algorithm!

You could cross the straps on the blue to do they give a bit more support
The world needs more of this - women supporting women, women feeling comfortable being themselves, women learning more about who they are! I love all of this.
And not making their entire personality their body. This was one the best body neutral, fun, empowering videos of women trying on clothes!

It's wild to think these expensive swim suits have no practical usage doing any water activities. I'm super self conscious in swim suits so thank you for sharing real women wearing them without retouching and filters
I don't think they are made for sports. Lots of people get these types of suits just to look good around a pool or on the beach.
It is the Love Island effect, I think. Just for people who want to look hot while lounging around a beach bar without ever getting wet, but who actually does only that irl? Even for that, they seem soooo wildly overpriced it is absurd. And they are not even THAT cute!!!!
I browsed the skims website and besides the pants and swim shirt, it really seems like they tried to pick out the most unusual and impractical cuts. There are a bunch of suits that would be way more practical than these, I’m not sure why they’d pick the options they did if they wanted more coverage and to wear them for activities

Sierra, I know I’m nothing but a peon, but you’re truly an amazing human being. You help me to feel more confident. You’re truly a beautiful soul. Im loving the new way you’re doing videos. I did the same thing. Then left her a message reminding her that she's a Queen and an inspiration to Most women who are struggling with their bodies.
There's nothing wrong with her size or that of the other ladies in this video but just because clothes look amazing on a size zero model and the brand happens to make the item in 3xl doesn't mean it'll look good on a 3x body. Just be realistic, if you love it then just do you but don't expect the rest of the world to agree. And if you don't live on the internet noone will give an opinion either way

Okay, so hear me out: Have you considered doing a Confident and Kind swimsuit line? You would be the perfect person to create a swim line that is inclusive, looks great on, and actually functions as swimwear.

@@Faith-A that is unfortunate :( They weren’t really that bad when you break down the costs involved in producing them, but I guess that people are so used to fast fashion that they will protest anything with a higher price tag. Hopefully one day she will change her mind and consider a swim line. It is so difficult to find cute, functional swim items that fit well when you are on the curvy side.

The brown suit was bad ..all of it. None of these suits looked expensive... I don't agree that any of them were flattering. The green one was awful.. the blue looked good because she has a good figure and beautiful skin..the suit did nothing for her. The plus sized blue top was embarrassing.. Kim Kardashian makes this stuff for ..something..not these women in the video
I like the format with fewer people (don’t get me wrong love having additional perspectives, but sometimes it gets a bit monotonous and more difficult to follow with 5,6+ people).
Think the consistency of Sierra running through everyone’s suit helps with it too, instead of bouncing from person to person.

yes! I really don't enjoy reviews that just talk about how a piece of clothing looks, especially for something like a swimsuit that is generally intended to be worn while doing some amount of physical activity. It doesn't matter how cute something is if it isn't actually wearable or comfortable on your body!
I wish it was just sierra trying on. There’s just not many people with her body type trying things on so it’s disappointing that it was only one style

I loved the diversity here with sizes and body shapes it really gives an understanding how this suits will look on different people and what problems there might be!

People forget that size inclusivity also includes LENGTHS. Both for the very petite and the very tall. If skims was truly “groundbreaking” it would have tall (and not starting at like 5’7”, I mean tall like 5’10”-6’6”+, yes those people exist) and petite sizes.
So true! Unfortunately, I am a 6'3.5" woman and really struggling to find clothing that fits. While adjustments are made towards the arm or leg length in online stores that carry tall sizing, they don't seem to care about the torso length at all. Recently I bought a bodysuit as well as a jumpsuit, and both of them were way too short on my torso. Really annoying!
yes! I'm so sick of "size inclusive" brands that have like two pairs of pants total that won't be floods on me

For real! I went to Old Navy once (they're usually great with the short and long options) found a pair of pants on sale in my size AND in long length (I'm 5'11") so I went to try them on. They went on great until I looked down... The first words out of my mouth after seeing my ankles out and double checking the size (and making sure they weren't a crop) was "long..? the f*ck you are". I then sat down to take them off and they had rode up to mid shin length. I'm thinking they were probably a mislabeled petite.
it's been hard to find petite in stores now, and buying online is frustrating because sizes are so inconsistent!
I saw on IG that people were leaving negative comments about Sierra's body. Part of me wants to leave a nasty message towards those people. But instead of doing that, I'm going to show how much Sierra has changed me and helped me grow. Out of respect for her and her team, I'm not going to respond to any hateful or cruel comments, because I know that's not what she would want. Instead, I'm just going to say I enjoyed this piece so much and I can see how hard everyone worked on it and thank you for releasing fun, and body positive content!

I unfortunately don’t love the premiere thing 😖 once I already see the thumbnail my initial interest and excitement goes away after having to wait to watch it. Which usually means I’m not quick to click on a new video anymore when it’s setup this way. No hate at all just an opinion!

@@olivialayla6916 you understand this is her job, right? Of course she prioritizes getting views and engagement. It's her method of making a livelihood and if it didn't continue to work she would have to find a different job and likely not have the time to make content at all. You're allowed to have opinions and dislike some of the choices she makes in how she presents or creates content, but it doesn't make her 'greedy' for paying attention to her analytics and what most of her audience enjoys. That's just being a smart business owner and content creator. And at least in my opinion, as long as the content she makes hasn't fundamentally changed, then it isn't that big of a deal. As an audience member you have to respect a creator making content how _they_ chose to and in a way that is best for them. If you can't then you can always just stop watching.

I think every woman needs to follow this channel! It’s such a great example of women supporting each other and just confidently existing for themselves. I loved how the obstacle course portion wasn’t a competition, just literally you guys trying out the suits for their purpose and judging them for that and how they made you feel. I can’t wait to listen to the corresponding podcast ❤
Edit: I LOVED this video. It’s irritating to see creators who would never wear these swimsuits IRL rip brands to shreds when clearly they’re
just not their taste. This was the PERFECT happy medium, true to yourself but also fair to the brand 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Not that anyone asked but now that the channel has come back for a while I wanted to offer a bit of feedback as a long-time viewer - I love this new concept of having a team to do things with and everyone seems so engaged with the content. That said I do feel like you girls are still evolving into this new video format and trying to find a style that works seamlessly both for everyone as an individual and for the team as a group. Which is quite hard, especially in complex and structured videos like these.
Something that might help get there faster imo is to make the high-quality production a bit less high-quality (in execution bc the concepts are and always have been incredibly high-quality and amazing) and a bit more personal. With a bit more spontaneous vlog/podcast style moments because you girls have amazing personalities that absolutely shine in that simplicity without needing things to feel as scripted/structured. It would be interesting to see how the videos would feel if there was only a general, very-well defined concepts and everyone would just bring their personalities to the table. It would be more chaotic for sure, but knowing y'all's individual vibes, I have a feeling that chaos would feel entertaining and joyful rather than messy.
It would also be fun to see videos that are more personal and maybe less informative. For example, trying each other workouts or morning routines. Or even taking concepts you've already started approaching such as shopping for each other but focusing more on everyone's individual process rather than the final result.
Unrelated and maybe controversial but I actually enjoy the premiere thing - I'm not a lot on Instagram and other socials lately so it kinda notifies me that a new video is about to come out and because of that I've been checking the new videos out often within hours of when they come out.

I wanted to let you know how influential your body positive content has been for me. I bought my first bikini the electric blue one from the black business a few years ago and I love it! You have an amazing impact, I’m sorry some people made rude comments to you I understand your pain. Even though I’m a pretty “standard size” my dad would pinch my stomach growing up and tell me “meat roll”. I grew up with certain views of how my body should look even through times of change (postbaby/aging) it. It’s been really difficult to challenge those beliefs but truly you have helped me love body and my non makeup face so much. Thank you for doing what you do! ❤😊

This was the best and most helpful swimsuit reveiw I have seen in a very long time. I noticed that some swimsuits on the Skims site actually say they're not recommended for swimming which I find odd but for pool and beach lounging, they're probably fine. I on the other hand, my swimsuit has to handle everything. Paddling for hours, jumping off ledges, morning workouts, emergency rescues for stranger's children (it has happened more than once) and impromptu BJJ rolls.
So long story short, my life is a circus and a swimsuit has to keep up to that. 😅

TIP FOR RACHEL!!!
I find that if I tie the knots on a swimsuit like that in a different way it will help the fit a lot!!!
First, i would not put the halter part on the full way.
Tie the bottoms not in the middle, but closer to the back. For me this shifts the front down a little bit. Which would get more material(length) to the back of the suit.
THEN adjust the top as needed.

Sierra, I saw ur instagram and that u were bothered by some comments and I wanted to bring you something positive I love u so much, you have been such a special influence to me, I am 17 and I have an athletic body type I compete in track and field and I used to be ashamed of my legs because they are larger but you have helped me to embrace them and realize that they are the way they are because they help me to do what I love. As well since you have become a mom and seeing you raise Grace has been such an amazing thing you are such a good mom and beautiful person and if you see this please take a second to know that and believe that about yourself ❤

I am LOVING these group videos. I feel like it adds so much nuance and context to the body positive messaging that Sierra's channel has always had. It's so awesome to see multiple body types represented, and it reminds me of my favorite videos with Sierra/Carrie and Sierra/Skyler from the past. I feel like Sierra is really in her true element when surrounded by these friends, and I could not be happier for her. I'm very excited to see where the group's creativity takes this channel! I know transitioning from a solo channel to more of a group channel is hard, but I am so supportive of this change!

I love the mockumentary style of these videos. I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure how the collaborative vibe of the main channel would be (only because it’s different)!
