    I actually built up from 15 minutes to 30... It is a good workout. I am an advocate of isometrics and the way I understand it this is a good form of it. The tips here are very helpful. Keep up with such a good content. The frame stance is a full body workout. This is so simple yet complex. Stillness in movement yet movement in stillness.

      Zhanzhuang is in no way a method of isometric training. Sure, you may use the stances in this way, but this is not what Zhanzhuang is designed for. I'm sorry, I don't want to criticize you. I just want to give you a hint and to avoid misunderstandings.

    My everyday practise is 10 min stand, then 1min relax exersise, 10min stand, etc., summary time of standing 40 min. I know, that there is 50 circles of energy by day (24hrs), therefore we need about 1 circle energy circulation, it's 40 min very good.

    Great site. Maybe show more one leg postures and side postures with 80/20 weight, lower postures and pressure testing, 6 direction standing and the calf exercises from your Yuyongnian lineage.

    Thank you, it's an intesting advice these two methods, shaking and dropping. Could well be a kind of preparation for Fali, so it seems to me. But I might be wrong ... And thank you, indeed, for the saying and its threefold presentation. This is always very enjoyable and helpful.

      Yes, I agree. Technically speaking, Fali is involved with the two. When doing these two, one can tell how unifying their body is. I doubt anyone who never Zhanzhuang before can do them very well.

    Do you feel your spine more straight and strong since practicing this? For me it is improving my posture, I can feel even when walking like internally the spine or back is stronger.
    I frequently feel some tickling in some points of the spine (in the middle) while doing it or even after that, if I keep my column straight. Do you know what could this be? have you felt such tickling also?

      Hey Emilio, The spine should be straight and can become stronger, i had the same feeling before. I never felt tickling. Please don't be worried, though. Zhanzhuang feelings vary from people to people. Different feelings may appear when practicing longer. Ultimately the body will be very healthy and strong so the disturbing feelings will not show any more. Keep up. Thanks for your interest.

      I've felt the tickling sometimes, I reckoned it's just your body getting used to it. Same happens when you do breathing meditation for long.
