Julie was frowning everytime Kaila was called to taste her dishes. It is not Kaila's problem if she knows how to cook because she studied the tricks and learned every technique. Watching Julie of not knowing how to put the lobster in the pan, comes to show that Julie was the clown along with Danny in season 1.

Everyone is mostly intimidated by Kayla because she mostly always get called up on top but she's a bad team player as she's always in every Pressure Tests except the Restaurant Takeover because of Tammara's leadership. Also, I feel bad for Marida in Dim Sum Challenge when she got paired up with Julie. She's on her dress with heels and has to carry around in the challenge even she's running around while Julie looks confused and clueless despite wearing more simple outfit than her.
I like how everyone is making overcomplicated dish with lobster and 3 of them making lobster risottos and then they lose to Mike who's making the most simple dish of them all. Meanwhile, Julie has no idea what she's doing.

As an Asian myself, I like her cooking style and I don't see any problem with it. His favorite is Marida on this season since she's hot eventhough Marida always making Trinidad or Indian style on her dishes even Michael and Alvin called her out for it. And even Alvin called her one trick phony.

@@Magister195 every cook that made it to this competition already can make food that is somewhat delicious. Good plating of a particular dish is a major plus. That aside, I believe the judges tries every dish while it's still being cooked off camera as part of the decision.
You know when they go around asking what the cooks are making? They will taste bits of it we just don't see all of it, but you can see a few times when they taste something.
Season 2 is definetly the best with a lot of talents, the judges are nicer, the contestants have their own moments to shine and David Jorge is the best winner ever. Also, Christopher Siu who was 4th place on Season 2 later make a comeback as Season 7 winner. Season 1 is just a carbon copy of Masterchef US with ugly personalities like Dale, Julie, Danielle and Kaila and the judges are trying to act mean as much as possible. Also, the lightning on season 1 is so poor, everybody else look yellow while since Season 2, the lightning starts to get improvem
