Julie was frowning everytime Kaila was called to taste her dishes. It is not Kaila's problem if she knows how to cook because she studied the tricks and learned every technique. Watching Julie of not knowing how to put the lobster in the pan, comes to show that Julie was the clown along with Danny in season 1.
I like how everyone is making overcomplicated dish with lobster and 3 of them making lobster risottos and then they lose to Mike who's making the most simple dish of them all. Meanwhile, Julie has no idea what she's doing.
Julie was always lost, it was amazing to watch.
Mike's got the idea.
Is it me or Julie looks like the girl from How I Met Your Mother and Avengers

I love how at 1:15 the scene is suddenly cut to lobster's face, while they are discussing how to cook it😂

I love how every contestant here has no problem grabbing a lobster from the tank; if this was Masterchef USA then half the contestants would probably be too scared to do so

Yea definitely. By far she's one of my favourite contestants in mc canada
Remember the time he made unnecessary comment about Tammara making 3 Asian-type dishes in a row? Asian has different types since it's a big continent. As an Asian myself, I like her cooking style and I don't see any problem with it.
His favorite is Marida on this season since she's hot eventhough Marida always making Trinidad or Indian style on her dishes even Michael and Alvin called her out for it. And even Alvin called her one trick phony.
@@margarethmichelina5146 I don't see Claudio showing any favoritism towards Marida though. And honestly I don't think Alvin and Michael had any right to talk when they give Eric a pass for always doing Chinese, and no, his boring and generic Italian dishes don't count. S1 was really weird like that.
@@nikhilcruz here’s the difference between Marida and Eric though.even though Eric often did Asian style food,he did try to go out of his comfort zone when the challenge requires it.marida did not - she even puts Trinidadian style into an Italian challenge yet y’all don’t call her out for it sometimes.

@@the_changerang Most of the time, she likes to play safe. She's not the strongest cook compared to the others. She's never been called on top 3 of Mystery Box which is pretty much honorable on this competition or being chosen as Team Captain at least once. She should've been going home over Danielle on Alaska Baked Pressure Test since she got a raw flour. Danielle was just unlucky at the time.

The looks and the presentation of the dish is also part of it, the home cooks should also make their food look appetizing. They're trying to become a masterchef so they need to combine the good flavor and the presentation.

@@Junispro31 I know you need to have a good looking dish but what if their food is delicious
@@user-id9oi1py4t every cook that made it to this competition already can make food that is somewhat delicious. Good plating of a particular dish is a major plus. That aside, I believe the judges tries every dish while it's still being cooked off camera as part of the decision.
thats not the point of a mystery box challange.
It proves sometimes winning is not an option. Make it simple and play it cool

You know when they go around asking what the cooks are making? They will taste bits of it we just don't see all of it, but you can see a few times when they taste something.

MasterChef Canada season 1 is the best MasterChef season of all time

Season 2 is definetly the best with a lot of talents, the judges are nicer, the contestants have their own moments to shine and David Jorge is the best winner ever. Also, Christopher Siu who was 4th place on Season 2 later make a comeback as Season 7 winner.
Season 1 is just a carbon copy of Masterchef US with ugly personalities like Dale, Julie, Danielle and Kaila and the judges are trying to act mean as much as possible. Also, the lightning on season 1 is so poor, everybody else look yellow while since Season 2, the lightning starts to get improvem

I wished the big box also had nothing, and when they looked at the chefs they simply weren't there, just their clothes or they ran away or whatever, leaving them completely confused then the show was over.
