@@kevin15175That's easy to say in hindsight though. According to Cuban, before being acquired by Amazon, Ring had to spend hundreds of millions on advertising. There's no way the sharks could have known that the inventor would raise that much money.
The most successful product invested in was actually Bombas socks. This is the second most. The most successful in general is Doorbot/Ring
Crazy how something so silly turned out to be one of the biggest and most successful Shark Tank deals ever.
Its literally the best product I use it all the time.

The company is now worth USD300 million and Aaron himself has a net worth of USD75 million. He knew comnections was worth a damn well more than money.

Lori eventually reached out to him too before it all happened. His partner from the very start was her and I was happy for him that Lori even stood up for the other business partners who wanted a deal with Scrub Daddy. Those business partners tried to lead him into failure but Lori stood up for him and his product and made a deal happen with them. The product is now one of the best products out there and he's making great money.
I can’t believe how perfectly this guy prepared. Every answer he was quick, told them everything important and showed his experience and skill in the field, he’s a damn expert

It was a rub. Kevin knew it was good cuz he congrats lori on the deal. He was just hazing the guy to act smarter when making a deal.

He was mocking Lori by saying that she was saying he didn’t know what to do and was an idiot. That’s why he said “exactlyyy” after the guy said he did know what to do. Kevin’s whole pitch was that he had the best offer in terms of money, just not the connections. Kevin claimed that the guy didn’t need connections to do well.

1:45 is one of the all-time classic Shark Tank moments. They go past the other sharks who are all laughing at the presentation, then finally show Lori who is staring daggers at it. Her eye for household products is unmatched. I think Scrub Daddy is worth well over 100 million now.

Kevin and Damon didn't take it too seriously until they realized Lori already saw the vision and that's when they realized Scrub Daddy was going to make a lot of money. Even from the start, this type of product and presentation was a match made in heaven for Lori, she saw a cash cow the moment he opened his mouth.
But those were laughs of approval. They were impressed by the presentation.

Good for Lori - she knew the worth of the product. She saw it from the beginning.
For me, the highlight of this pitch was the excellent enunciation by the pitcher. It was engaging, terse, and had absolutely no filler sentence. I feel this pitch should be referenced by any pitcher who is willing to demonstrate their startup.

For those who are unaware. Mark Cuban has a pharmacy in Tx that offers people like me, stricken w severe cancer, a low cost avenue to get our chemotherapy medication.
Although I didn't win my war against the disease and will succumb to it, I am so deeply thankful an individual like this is out there helping the desperate sufferers

I love scrub daddy. Lasts way longer than regular sponges and I use it for dishes, pots, stove top, etc.
They don't smell like regular sponges that disgusting moldy water smells.
The obvious answer was to ignore the rest of them and only negotiate with her. The rest of them didn't believe in him until she did.
The second they showed Laurie after he explained that they change consistency in different water temperatures, you could see her gears turning, she wanted that product, her eyes were daggers in a good way, her eyes lit up with how much of a gold mine this was.

I just bought a scrub daddy a few weeks ago at the grocery store in new york. It made doing dishes so much easier. You could see how passionate this guy was in this product.
I'm from Mexico and for the last 2 years I've bought scrub daddy. Love this guy and his vision. Lori really saw that coming at 1:00 😂
I always thought this was a cool product when I first saw the pitch. Bought it at bed bath and beyond sometime later and was surprised it was as good as advertised. Lori struck gold with this one

I absolutely love the scrub daddy and scrub mommy and scrub everything, makes cleaning dishes so much more easier.
I do a one time HUGE shopping trip before Christmas (HUGE thank you to Walmart!!!!) and I am very proud to say that Scrub Daddy is a definite add to that purchase every year. This year, Scrub Daddy, Scrub Mommy and Scrub Baby were all purchased in that purchase!!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!

Wow i didn't know Scrub Daddy was on Shark tank. I remember seeing someone say how great it was and went to try it myself when i saw it at CVS. i'm so hooked on it i have never been more happier washing dishes
Bought a Scrub. Daddy last week October 3, 2023. It was the FIRST time I’ve seen it in my local dollar store, a rack full of them, I bought ONE & paid $4 dollars. LOVE it, so I went back a week later to get another one ...& there was ZERO left in the store. 😀

I get that Lori was probably the best shark for his product specifically, but I think that's the best deal I've ever seen Kevin give. Lori makes 20% of the company forever and Kevin would still just be getting his 10 cents on that one product
7.5 cent would still equate to about 3% of your revenues, so that's even worse than giving away equity in some regards, because in a bad year Lori is not getting anything but Kevin would still be getting a share of every sponge sold.
