As soon as I heard that there are only enough eggs to complete the challenge, my first thought was, you've got to break each egg into that poach bowl, individually, until you get one without a broken yolk. If you break the yolk, it goes into the omelette. Then you clean the poach bowl with a towel and try again. If you've already beaten your eggs for the omlette and now you're cracking the egg for poaching, you only get one chance.

I think that in terms of strategy it's generally better to crack the egg for poaching first, so if you mess up you can just add it to your omelet bowl and try again. It's a terrible idea to start the poached egg last.

Honestly not good cooks, the omelette was more of a japanese one because it was firm the form of it was horrible, a french omelette is completely smooth on the outside and pretty wet inside (its easily the hardest one of the three), and honestly making a perfect poached egg is the easiest of the three, because its always the same timing no matter the size of the egg (and vinegar isnt actually necessary), the soft boiled egg is actually pretty hard if you want it perfect since the time depends on the size of the egg, and it wasnt perfect.
Masterchef australlia: Replicate the most complicated cake we could find exactly how the extremely skilled person who created it would, create this particular chocolate dome to cover it with this chocolate to go through the dome and then place it in this with some special smoke to give it a dramatic effect when being served masterchef canada: eggs
Basic things require a lot of skill too, you could see how difficult it was to cook 3 different types of eggs perfectly in 8 minutes. However, I agree, Masterchef Canada is lame, especially when compared to other countries. What I garnered from this show is that Canada is great at many things but cooking isn't one of them. Especially when I saw that pizza episode, I was having a mental breakdown. If you put these participants head to head with participants from other countries, they would fail in an extremely humiliating way.

I feel like if kevin started with the poached egg and messed up the egg. I would crack 2 eggs into my bowl where my omelette would be. Then I would put the cracked egg in the omelette bowl because there gonna whisk it up. And then you got a second try. That simple

Honestly not good cooks, the omelette was more of a japanese one because it was firm the form of it was horrible, a french omelette is completely smooth on the outside and pretty wet inside (its easily the hardest one of the three), and honestly making a perfect poached egg is the easiest of the three, because its always the same timing no matter the size of the egg (and vinegar isnt actually necessary), the soft boiled egg is actually pretty hard if you want it perfect since the time depends on the size of the egg, and it wasnt perfect.
They can cook it sous vide for a perfect consistency.

Basic things require a lot of skill too, you could see how difficult it was to cook 3 different types of eggs perfectly in 8 minutes. However, I agree, Masterchef Canada is lame, especially when compared to other countries. What I garnered from this show is that Canada is great at many things but cooking isn't one of them. Especially when I saw that pizza episode, I was having a mental breakdown. If you put these participants head to head with participants from other countries, they would fail in an extremely humiliating way.

Poached eggs are like soft-boiled eggs anyway, which can't be seasoned during cooking if you're looking to do it right. It's all about presentation and integrity through technique (under pressure, in this case), and Kevin plated a bad example.
