- Firstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for watching and sharing my videos. It's been an incredible journey to get to 100K subscribers on UA-cam, and I could not have done it without your help.
Also, I want to give a huge shout to my wife Ying for all that she does - she films, and follows me on crazy food expeditions - she is the best.
Finally, we'll be taking a trip to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam, where should we EAT!!?
I would love to hear your suggestions for the best street food we need to check out when we're in Saigon, Vietnam.

- Banh mi Chi Gai, a banh mi stand - near 37 Nguyen Trai, D.1.
2) "Bun thit nuong" or Char Grilled Pork Neck (and more) with Vermicelli Noodles:
- Ngon Nhu Bun - 1/1 Truong Quyen, W.6, D.3. (Highly recommend. They also serve excellent Vermicelli Fish Soup.)

You should try Com Tam anywhere in Vietnam. It's BBQ pork cutlet, steam eggs or fried, shredded pork skin and to top it off with sweet fish sauce serve with rice. I love u Mark and Ying

There are a lot of food in Saigon. First, you have to try Pho because it's a little bit different in Hanoi. (Phở Lệ is one of the best Pho in Saigon). Second, vietnamese broken rice with grilled pork, meat loaf, pork skin is an amazing dish too. There are a lot of food in Ben Thanh market as well. You can try many type of dessert at Bé chè. It's my suggestion for you. Hope you and your wife enjoy the trip in Saigon. Have fun!

I think one of the most popular dishes that every Saigonese enjoying at the moment is "oc" (shellfish?!). You can find them everywhere and they are made with a variety of recipes, just ask a local for famous seafood restaurants. I know that they are a kind of bizarre foods to foreigners but they are really delicious. You should try "com tam" (grilled pork chop with broken rice), "banh mi" (Vietnamese salad roll), "hu tieu" (pork noodle soup), "bun" (noodles and shredded veggies), "banh uot/ banh cuon" (rice flour rolls), etc... Ehmm, what else? Ok, eating papaya salad in Le Van Tam Park would be an experience you will never forget. Additionally, Saigonese like going to bbq and hot pot restaurant when they have to eat out (beef, goat, fish or seafood hot pot) and then they end up in a coffee shop. Food vendors around Ben Thanh Market are where to go with a lot of choices. Sorry if my English doesn't make sense. Hope you will enjoy your trip in my hometown and take care.

Great you are going to Saigon. Food I highly recommend are below:
-Pho in Saigon is good, almost everywhere from restaurants to street ones.
-Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Crêpe), never miss it. I found the very big, delicious ones near 215 hospital.
-Roasted chestnut "Gao Lak", you may find it along the street, selling n' roasting on bike mostly.

Mark Wiens you are welcome...great channel....my favorite youtube channel for the past 6 months since I found and sub! Since you are big on spicy food, definitely try Bun Bo Hue, another hot spicy soup dish that is my favorite......You will love it.
Mark Wiens for sure if you didn't know, go to Cho Lon, the big open market. I grew up nearby and must have walked there with my parents to buy groceries and grabbed a few quick bites to eat. I am certain it is still there even though I haven't been there in 35 years :)
