hey, loving your videos - feel like im watching myself doing weird things for hours and hours and ending up more confused each time (learning more though). This wipe, my conclusion for nvidia atleast : reset cp settings for tarkov -> if 1080p screen (do dsr from 1080p to 1440p. )( or 2x resampling in game), textures low, shadows medium, lod 2,5-3 , view 400-1000. hbao max performance, ssr off, reflex off, anistropic ON, untick all. 2 things after this you could test : V-SYNC on ingame and nvidia CP : force off = uncaps frames / (then use limiter like rtss or cp )this can be combined with power profile for max performace as reflex is off and no boost enabled. But, for me with limiting ingame fps has been resulting more steady frame times with 2x resampling - ingame fps limiter is bugged i belive ; for me best has been 80. if i set it to i.e "76" frametimes will start to spike, 80 its steady. 82 = spiky. ...overall :: you need to have 80% usage on gpu (need to leave room for double render scopes)
and limit fps to upper part of avg fps. ....This does not solve streets but has made game quite stutter free for me (sorry for bad english, played whole night and coffee is not working)

Hello, I wanted to thank you for this video. I went through months and months of troubleshooting trying to fix why my game would not run properly (on a RTX 3080 etc..) and only getting 60-80 FPS unscoped. Eventually after 3-4 raids I had to restart the game to get back to decent FPS. I tried so many things to troubleshoot, but nothing helped. Even reinstalled my whole PC. Eventually I just gave up and had the Auto-RAM cleaner on for ever that way I could play decently. I turned off NVIDIA Resizable BAR today and my FPS sky rocketed to 100+ FPS again on most of the maps (except streets). I don't really understand why, since this is a PCIE technology and how it's related to RAM, but hey, it works, and I can finally die 50% of the time on 120 FPS. So thank you my friend!! :)

Awesome! If you want too, I'd recommend trying to run ReBAR on WITH NPI on- I have another video about it that I released just after this one. Its worth a test as I had very similar results with ReBAR Off Vs. Rebar + NPI (which is Nvidia Profile Inspector btw). Regardless, glad it helped friend :D

CORRECTION FOR GRAPH: Runs #4 and #5 were WITHOUT ReBAR- I know I mentioned this in the video, but the titles on the key did not reflect this. It will be fixed for the next video on this topic. Sorry about that.
As I say in the video, I absolutely encourage you all to contribute to testing this, as a viewer suggestion is what led me to this in the first place. (also, as an FYI, I have been trying to proc Auto RAM Cleaner with things other than opening the settings menu, but I have not been able to witness it yet. Please let me know if that works for you too.)
Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the stream soon (if you're reading this when I post it)!

Resizable bar is not supported at the engine level.. it has been a loss or placebo every time in my experience. Your best bet to gain frames is make sure your power management is set to prefer max power and set your texture quality to performance or high performance. Testing with a shader cache of 5GB (1gb is default) is also worth while.

As we talk on your stream i disable ReBar . but since i start research about it i find out in order to ReBar to work you also need to enable "above 4g decoding/crypto curency mining" and this is mostly for more GPU's as far as i find out. So this thing affects the amount of ram allocated at a time for the processor to work with video memory. and this explains some increase in the consumption of RAM. Previously, you had to huddle in a 4GB block, while the above 4g, you can use whole area. And this ReBar allows the graphics api to pass large blocks of memory more then 256 mb ... . So what i suggest is to turn this aswell OFF since you're not using more then 1 GPU. Also i find out that this above 4g thing change the path of how your motherboard works in order to function with more GPU's.

Hi there. Great fan. I don´t think it´s a bug. EFT is using a rather old version of unity. Unity 2019. Since ReBAR was used by NVIDIA only after AMD introduced SAM (whic is the same tech), unity probably never thought about supporting this tech since it lay dormant up until 2020, although the tech is on most boards since 2010. Maybe Unity 2021 will support ReBAR properly.

Several patches back I remember the game hitching almost every time you accessed (or exited, I can't remember) your inventory in raid, and I vaguely remember the explanation being that it was doing garbage collection then, because someone at BSG thought that was a good idea... I can't confirm that, but that's what I remember it being.
Going on that assumption I have a feeling automatic ram cleaner might be set up to only run in menus at times to prevent hitching caused by it interfering with the other parts of the game execution. Especially on a really intensive map like Streets, they'd want to limit anything that's going to make the performance worse.

Well, EFT uses Unity and the core graphics engine is not in-house developed by BSG. We know BSG used to have some culling scripts in the past due to the lack of some robust solution in previous Unity versions. If this is a issue, it's a Unity scalability issue, not exclusively EFT issue. EFT pushes Unity beyond its limits, if look closely.

Did you change the xmp profile in your motherboard's BIOS?
Your motherboard has to be able to support your RAM, and you have to enable XMP in your BIOS before your RAM can run at its advertised speeds. Google it up for your motherboard and you should find how to do it.

You should be selecting the speed via xmp. Don't manually set the speed. Lookup how to do that with your motherboard

Im pretty sure your overlay is showing vram allocation and not actual vram usage.
3070ti is 8GB vram so at the moment the game is allocating all you have, if you had the usage stat being shown its probably over the 8GB you have and in that circumstance will begin to pull more system Ram.
From what ive witnessed in my system so far with a 16GB gpu, vram usage at the start of raid on my settings is around 12GB dropping down to around 6GB through the raid.

    • @Spratty-wb3is
      @Spratty-wb3is 10 місяців тому

@klemintime1452 I could be completely wrong but in msi afterburner you should have one called 'memory usage' and another called 'memory usage\process'.
I have both checked and I believe the 'process' is what shows you the Vram your actually using.
With Ram it has exactly the same with both options available to be checked.

That's not how resizeable bar works. At least with Nvidia GPUs. Even if rebar is enabled in the bios, it is never activated by default. To use rebar in eft you have to use a tool called Nvidia profile inspector and enable the three rebar settings in there.
Otherwise rebar is never used in eft on Nvidia.

@mysticly7313 that is not the case with any properly coded game. There isn't a single other game I've played where you lose frames as the settings get turned down. This is not how it works guys.
I do kinda think. It's intentionally designed to limit FPS if you try to make the game ugly when you don't need to.
Which just sounds like something Nikita would do. A punishment for taking all the pretty stuff away he spent a lot of time making.

Ahh another click bait video, Turn this on, that on, ReBar uses ram for a reason, not sure why your all obsessed with using less ram, you show you have 0 knowledge of how the memory I/O system works,.
Tarkovs Issues are solely down to the Highley single threaded nature of the code base overall, when they move to Unity 2021, they will have a few more options available to them to spread the load, but all this nonsense with bios setting, installing 3rd party apps, is all just snake oil im afraid.
any nvidia GPU 3xxx and above should have ReBar enabled, what do you think happens, when its off an using less ram, loading stuff on the fly, ReBar using this ram is intended and dose so for BETTER performance,
You guys all have what 32gb ram and you want it sitting empty all the time?
Also, please do research on what a "memory leak" is....
In computer science, a memory leak is a type of resource leak that occurs when a computer program incorrectly manages memory allocations[1] in a way that memory which is no longer needed is not released. A memory leak may also happen when an object is stored in memory but cannot be accessed by the running code (i.e. unreachable memory).[2] A memory leak has symptoms similar to a number of other problems and generally can only be diagnosed by a programmer with access to the program's source code.
A related concept is the "space leak", which is when a program consumes excessive memory but does eventually release it.[3]
Windows manages the use of Ram that Tarkov uses as Tarkov is not DX12, the devs do not have direct access to this management as so is done in engine, and then by windows.
If tarkov had a memory leak when you x the program it would not release said ram back to system.

for real, ram exists for a reason, if they start cleaning the ram for no reason what do they think happens to the game assets? lol. if regular programs had access to tarkov ram, cheating would be exponentially higher also

    • @klemintime1452
      @klemintime1452  10 місяців тому +3

I have literally said all of the things you said here in the last two videos lol. ReBAR is intended for BETTER performance, but for some having it enabled on Tarkov (and without having it enabled through Nvidia Profile Inspector) can lead to people (such as myself) spilling over their VRAM limitations, pooling into system memory and causing stutters once that has to be swapped out (this is what you saw in the graph in regards to streets). Your memory leak definition is literally the one I discussed in my previous video and sure, its a "space leak" if you want to start getting technical with terms that the average user is going to need even more clarification on. We're on the same side here and we're all learning, but you don't need to lecture us.
