I've watched a few videos about settings, but trying yours (i've always had postfx off and physical cores only on) increased my fps and looked way better. One question, you had your mouse sensitivity at 0.2 and 0.2, wasn't your idea to use the DPI you are comfortable with and setting the sensitivity to 1.0 for both?
Not exactly I see the confusion but that wouldn't work from game to game as each game has different base sensitivity based on a lot of factors that's why all your sensitivities in other games are radically different numbers and that's why I showed you how to do transfers with aim-sensitivity. What I was refering to is getting a similar desktop dpi so your horizontal movement on the desktop is similar to your in game amount so you develop the muscle memory of various muscles from your shoulder all the way down to your finger tips. Its kind of a odd phenominon I've only seen one person make a video on it but its a well known tactic professional players in various titles use, you can cross reference this by looking at the datasets of professional in various titles and their dpi and sensitivities and you'll see they all favor certain dpis based on the movement in each game.@@TheFlan80

You get player pops when u have binaural audio its like this semi loud noise pop that happens when u enter a players hearing radius id recommend keeping binaural on until they fix that
Thanks for the video! I was looking for this. About the master volume, a spectrum analysis disproves that lowering it effects different sounds differently. It lowers all frequencies of sounds equally.
Fascinating. I'll have to get into this later and and get gud, lol. but for real, great video, great pacing, get editing, I watched the whole thing and I'm not even home to follow along, haha.
The "Object LOD quality" setting also determines how far PMCs render, not just objects. So if you set it at 2, you might not be able to see PMCs 300m away when not scoped in where a higher setting would render the PMC. This is not usually much of an issue, as there's not a ton of places where you'd need the increased distance. "Object LOD" also prevents distracting object pop-in. Close objects are rendered with a high quality model. As you move further away from the object it will stop rendering a high quality model, and use a low quality one. The transition can be distracting. The higher the setting, the further away you can be before objects change to low-quality and will be less noticeable and distracting. This comes at the cost of CPU performance though which most because are already bottlenecked on in Tarkov. Also, "Adaptive Sharpen" in PostFX, even at "1" will have a pretty big hit on FPS and render time. Turn this off completely and just use the regular "Sharpness" setting.
I have about 500 hours in tarkov and I've never changed my post-fx minus my first wipe i played. or a few of these other settings. Just assumed good pc, turn everything to ultra and I'm good lmao. These tips were game changing, earned a new sub for sure! :) great help, thanks!
@@TickleMePinkGaming lmao, my dude. That’s not an argument. Poor Visual fidelity of trees, grass is not going to get you killed more than low LOD. Its more about necessity of fps vs visual appearance of the game. Now that snow is gone, theres more justification to not use dlss though.
A small thing : the main menu background : the best are factory or woods, apparently the labs one (with the camera) has higher load times. That was true last wipe, so to double check. Very good video : )
I use the 5800x3d n have used process lasso for the longest time and just for shits n gigs I removed the restriction to physical cores and found I actually got better frames across all maps especially streets.

Dude the sound pop bug actually helps me more than anything lmao, if I'm not mistaken it happens when someone enters the sound range, since I've had killed a lot of people because of this, it essentially is like a sound alarm that someone is close and if they don't get this pop in from me then I can just crouch and wait for them.
Honestly an amazing video, I felt like I had pretty good settings already but the Post FX alone made a world of difference. One thing that might be worth mentioning - while I agree that most of the stuff in the Nvidia control panel is fluff and not really relevant anymore, turning up digital vibrance in your color settings can for sure make a huge difference. I have it on 75 from other games and together with the adapted post fx I'm spotting people that I have no business seeing just because the contrast is so crisp and colorful.
great video as always. I wish you would have shown how to unbind controls, it seems like what you have to do is set it to something and then set that something to something else to unbind what you're trying to unbind.
Pretty useful stuff imo. A lot of the keybinds u have, i also use :D However I'd suggest having Inspect weapon on "Press" "L" And fix malfunctions on "release" "L". It's a bit better imo. I just press and hold the button, and when it finds the malfunction i release it :)
I think setting crouch to release on C works a bit better so you can adjust your crouch height while holding C rather than standing/crouching all the way up/down before adjusting
Very nice vid bro! As I would call myself a mighty tryhard too, I gotta add that the binaural clicks are useable as kind of a spidey-sense. I got so many cheap kills like that.
Hi, thanks a lot for this video! I just want to mention, that we (Overwatch-players) have two different aim sensitivity to have the same feel when aiming with and without scope. So 1cm mouse movement is always the same degree of view - doesn't matter if scope or no scope. Cheers
So you're kind of right. Overwatch offers a different sensitivity slider for the few characters with optics however this is built into many games already and even overwatch doesn't give you perfect 1 to 1's using the infamouse 51.47 of w/e for ashe for example.
I love your videos man. Not sure I agree with the DPI part of the video. There is a difference between using 1.0 sense on 400 dpi and 0.5 sens on 800 dpi that isnt apparent at first but higher dpi causes the mouse movement to be smoother while lower dpi gives you a buffer almost before the computer registers that youre moving it... although barely noticable at 400 dpi. Some cs pros use lower dpi and some even use lower polling rates. Its all just personal preference, for me I used to lower my polling rate while playing cs because I would always flinch a bit to the side when stopping the mouse while flicking. Lower dpi or polling rate helps with that because it gives you that freedom of not having as much handmovement register to your computer. Anyway sorry if I sounded like an asshole that wasnt my intention, maybe you already know all this and just wanted to leave it out for simplicity. I really liked the video its just that im so autistic when it comes to these things. And if you think im wrong you can tell me to game end myself in the replies.
You're not an asshole at all and I am aware of this. I felt like I could only delve so much into certain topics here and I figured most people would leave confused talking about this topic as well as a few others. Great info though for anyone that is interested.
As someone who knows absolutely nothing about computers I really appreciate you taking the time to explain shit for people with different setups. I will tickle you pink purple blue red whatever you want o7
10:24, I wanna point out though, those with issues with the stupid head bob, head bob is the least noticeable at 75 so if you start getting headaches when playing just set it to 75, one downside of 75 is that while you do have a larger peripheral view, the FOV does not match what your eyes see and what would be the position irl so it can get a bit disorienting
Hmmm, im not a doctor but if head bob is giving you headaches that might be a weird early sign of a health issue. Not trying to be a dickhead just concerned.
ah, it just happens with some games, arma was the same, but you can disable it completely there, I don't get why do they insist on implementing it in games anyway, irl my eyes, like everyone else's, compensate for the motion of the body@@TickleMePinkGaming
Good video. Had a couple good ideas that were new to me with the keybinds. I'm just getting back into tarkov after not playing for a year or so. One thing I remember doing was setting inspect weapon to press and then fix malfunction to release of the same key, and that would allow the actions required to fix malfunction to be done in one key press. I'm wondering if that's no longer a thing now since you have it set up with requiring 2 key presses. Guess will have to test out myself. I'm still running a 1070 OC'd a bit, and I still can run the game on pretty high settings and get decent fps. I run High textures, Ultra shadows, LOD 2.5, Distance 1000, TAA High, Anistropic filtering, HBAO max perf, no SSR, and I would get 70-100 fps depending on map (except I haven't really played streets yet, so not there). Just saying that a 1070 can still get decent performance since you said 20 series or lower should have everything set to low. I'm now playing with different settings though, like how shadows affect fps, etc. I always thought low shadows settings would make shadows look like shit, I've just had it at ultra since the first time getting the game in 2019. My CPU is a ryzen 5600x. I tested this morning with physical cores only checked and unchecked, and I got a bit better performance with it checked. Like ~5 frames better. This one is always a mystery to me because so many differing opinions online. Some say to have it checked if AMD CPU. This one I continually test. I always end up with having it checked. Noticed playing today that tarkov isn't using as much memory as it used to. It was **only** using 14GB of mem, when several months ago it would climb up to nearly 20GB (I have 20GB at 3200). Was getting noticeable stuttering this morning, reminded me of tarkov back in 2020/2021, which is frustrating. Also noticed, GPU utilization was only at 70%. Last time I played several months ago, it would be near 90% and greater. Wonder what's up with that.
For people still struggling with performance try toggling nvidia low latency mode off. For some reason with my configuration it currently drops my frames around 20 fps on some maps. I havent tested it on all maps but its worth a shot. (2080ti/i9 9900k)
keeping it on "on" instead of "on + Boost" is better as it does help with latency but doesn't lower your fps by a lot. If you're really struggling than yes keep it off.
for texture quality, it's about VRAM usage. saying "oh for 10 or 20 series use low, 30 series medium, etc" is not explaining what the problem is. if your texture quality wants to use more VRAM than you have, it'll start moving textures from VRAM into system RAM which is not optimized for this type of work and results and vastly reduced framerates. the amount of VRAM used also changes based on your display resolution so it's not so clear cut that you can just confine it under an entire gpu series. a GTX 1080Ti 11GB will be able to use higher quality textures than a 3060 8GB because of the difference in VRAM buffer size.
my man, you got a like and a sub for me from this video this is the best information i've ever seen collectively, have always wanted and needed a video like this thank you!
fsr2.2 definitely works, improves my frames by about 30-40fps and i have a 4080/7800x3d, very little downside, it looks nearly identical. my friend on the other hand with the same gpu but a intel cpu, it did nothing for him. i would say its a system dependent option. you can try it and if it doesn't do anything for you then leave it off.
17:50 i do have a counter point to that audio glitch. me and my buddies recognize that sound as "something has entered our audio range" and thus switch from a passive hearing to actively searching for the origin of said sound. yes its directionless but a vague warning that something is near is still a warning.
Definitely is NOT directionless. Everyone abuses this bug to provide an early warning system for entities entering your audio range, and again, it is not directionless.
The DPI part has a couple variables. Like pointed out in the video, you spend a lot of time using your cursor and building that muscle memory, so you should pick one DPI and stick with it, just adjust your in-game sensitivity on a per-game basis. However this depends if you are a wrist-user or an arm-user. There was a study on office space ergonomics and it showed that one inch of mouse movement was most comfortable for moving the cursor from the left corner of the screen to the right corner. Meaning that if you had a 1920x1080 resolution screen, you would need 1920 DPI. This is based on the fact that most people who do their job on a computer manipulate their mouse using their wrists for big/fast movements and fingertips for fine tuned/slower movements. After trying this myself (2560dpi to match my monitor) I realized I had been basically doing this my whole life. However many newer PC users who switch to PC specifically for gaming seems to prefer having a large mouse-mat and using their whole forearm to maniltulate large/fast movements. Which would mean you'd need to massively lower your DPI comparatively.
You are confusing mouse ergonomics in an office space with professional fps play. One group is navigating a 2d plane and another is navigating a 3d world.
@@TickleMePinkGaming Sure but the physical mouse movement is still on a 2D plane. Not everyone plays by swinging their mouse across their entire desk. From experince I get extreme wrist pain using 800dpi or less because I only use my wrist to move my mouse. Also, you proved my point. My point was that for regular desktop usage(2D) you should have one set DPI and your games(3D) should have the in-game sense adjusted without changing the mouse DPI. Additionally, there are similarities between using a mouse cursor and turning in an FPS. Typically if 1inch of mouse movement is most comfortable to move across your monitor, then 1inch of mouse movement will also be most comfortable for turning 180degrees in-game.
@@kelsipherzatozia8401 inch for a full 180 degree turn? You have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about lol, you want to have a fairly low in-game sens to increase your precision when doing flicks and tracking. There is NO way you're tracking efficiently with a sens that allows you to do a 180 with only 1 inch movement
@@FangzTV You just repeated what I said. A low in game sense and ADS sens that's slightly lower that hip fire sens. Normally you're tracking and pinpoint shots are going to be while ADS, not hip fire. Also you completely ignored my main point, which is wrist restrictions. If you can't 180 with 1inch of mouse movement, then you're going to be lifting up and re-centering your mouse over and over again while trying to turn around, which will get you killed.
LOL what you just said confirmed that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Willerz is one of if not THE best player in Tarkov and he has the lowest sens of all players I know, and guess what, he usually rocks 80% survival rate and he fights squads. It's apparent that you don't play FPS games enough to understand the value of lower sensitivity@@kelsipherzatozia840

Hey man, just getting into tarkov but ive been around PCs and have been building them my whole life. I do want you to know the thing about the graphics cards (10/20 series on low and so forth) is incorrect though. Its generally the later number that matters, so 50,60,70,80, and 90. The jump from a 3060 to a 4060 isnt going to be as massive as a jump as most people say. For reffernce, i have a 10500f and a 1650. I have high graphics, low shadows, with hbao and srr on low and ultra on 1920x1080 with consistent 60fps.
dpi is personal preference on playstyle in game and also how your game is set up. obviously you can say this is a sensitivity thing too, since I play legit any game imaginable, but I change my sens in game so I don't have to ever change dpi. modern warfare 2019 = higher sens and a different aspect ratio than me on csgo with 4:3 aspect ratio and lower sens

You get player pops when u have binaural audio its like this semi loud noise pop that happens when u enter a players hearing radius id recommend keeping binaural on until they fix that
Absolutely busted honestly
I prefer consistancy, there are windows settings that will.basically give you 24/7 player pops but you lose depth

Thanks for the video! I was looking for this. About the master volume, a spectrum analysis disproves that lowering it effects different sounds differently. It lowers all frequencies of sounds equally.
Deleting logs going back to 2021 felt insane lol. I think it definitely made a difference in my load times.

This isn't accurate unfortunately.
I have about 500 hours in tarkov and I've never changed my post-fx minus my first wipe i played. or a few of these other settings. Just assumed good pc, turn everything to ultra and I'm good lmao.

DLSS is actually really decent now. I get around 20+ frames on every map w/ 5800x3D n 3070ti
Same here.
I dislike the visual glitches, but the game is way more smooth on non-high end machines.
Same, I play with DLSS Quality at 1440p with a 7600x and 2070 and I get about 40+ fps across the board.
It just has some issues that could get you killed.

I have it on 75 from other games and together with the adapted post fx I'm spotting people that I have no business seeing just because the contrast is so crisp and colorful.
mate this whole time.. had my monitor capped at 60 htz. good looks and great video
Happy to help bro, notice the difference?
great video as always. I wish you would have shown how to unbind controls, it seems like what you have to do is set it to something and then set that something to something else to unbind what you're trying to unbind.
just use left click and rebind fire after
Watched this video twice, because pink is a W and because I for some reason watched this while in a WoW raid
Pretty useful stuff imo.
A lot of the keybinds u have, i also use :D
However I'd suggest having Inspect weapon on "Press" "L" And fix malfunctions on "release" "L". It's a bit better imo. I just press and hold the button, and when it finds the malfunction i release it :)
Significantly worse actually as whenever you jam you likely need to move and you wont be able to sprint with your setup.
I think setting crouch to release on C works a bit better so you can adjust your crouch height while holding C rather than standing/crouching all the way up/down before adjusting
This is Definitely the best settings video out there right now. Although it is hard to give someone PostFX, the rest of it is quality content.
Yeah gotta suit the PostFX to yourself.
Very nice vid bro! As I would call myself a mighty tryhard too, I gotta add that the binaural clicks are useable as kind of a spidey-sense. I got so many cheap kills like that.
I dont like the inconsistency.
Thanks for the video, it was very informative and helped me appreciate the visuals of this game more.
Great Video man really enjoyed that after a random search for settings great job
You are probably the best tarkov content creator thanks for the vid man❤
Idk about that but ty boss
Insanely good vids my dude, just found your channel an hour ago, and im subbed. Keep it up!
Appreciate it!

Best tarkov videos on youtube. good stuff man!
The LBP sound effects made me sub.
Finally found the perfect post fx settings. Thank you brother
Happy to help man!
Same thank you
For people still struggling with performance try toggling nvidia low latency mode off.
Good shout ty weets.
Appreciate you doing this man was funny seeing myself pop up on UA-cam haha
Ofc man, I appreciate your comments!
For the folks who get motion sickness -- turn off motion blur, increase FOV to 60 (or 59), and turn head bobbing to 0.2!
did you watch the video?
@@TickleMePinkGaming I did! Thank you! It was very helpful.

Hahha, ask and you shall recieve.
@@TickleMePinkGaming Love it bro, my game looks nuts now!!!
for texture quality, it's about VRAM usage. saying "oh for 10 or 20 series use low, 30 series medium, etc" is not explaining what the problem is.
if your texture quality wants to use more VRAM than you have, it'll start moving textures from VRAM into system RAM which is not optimized for this type of work and results and vastly reduced framerates.
the amount of VRAM used also changes based on your display resolution so it's not so clear cut that you can just confine it under an entire gpu series.
a GTX 1080Ti 11GB will be able to use higher quality textures than a 3060 8GB because of the difference in VRAM buffer size.
my man, you got a like and a sub for me from this video this is the best information i've ever seen collectively, have always wanted and needed a video like this thank you!
fsr2.2 definitely works, improves my frames by about 30-40fps and i have a 4080/7800x3d, very little downside, it looks nearly identical. my friend on the other hand with the same gpu but a intel cpu, it did nothing for him. i would say its a system dependent option. you can try it and if it doesn't do anything for you then leave it off.
Why not just use DLSS?
It causes tons of back end issues that will get you killed but it can give you frames

haha forreal atleast from me
17:50 i do have a counter point to that audio glitch. me and my buddies recognize that sound as "something has entered our audio range" and thus switch from a passive hearing to actively searching for the origin of said sound. yes its directionless but a vague warning that something is near is still a warning.
Why are you not actively listening always?
Thanks for the FX settings!
So I tried coping your setting and my fps dropped to about 60-70fps so I ended up switching back to nvidia dlss cause I get 100-140 with it. But tire post FX setting are a game changer I have been struggling to in a good post FX setting and yours are amazing!😊
Dlss gives you fake frames and causes issues

Thanks for the time and it has worked for me.
