I know the feeling very well, just make sure to keep in mind that social media absolutely wrecks our sense of volume when it comes to feedback received. People online will complain of only getting 10-50-100 likes on something, but just imagine if that was happening irl. 100 people walking up to you in person just to tell you I like what you do - would feel pretty different, wouldn't it? :)
I went on hiatus due to real life issues but now that I'm coming back I got lost, until I found thus video. Thank you for the advice! Love the drawing btw!

Thank you for sharing these tips :) I am working on growing my instagram and UA-cam but it's slow and can be frustrating a bit. But I want to share, so trying not to focus on the numbers too much :)
You need to focus to your number, If your art have a good taste, and planning about the commission. If you feel your art is amazing now , but people keep doesn't care about your art, Step 1 : You need to force it, by promoting your post on Instagram. But you need to pay it. Step 2 : You should doin an artist support. Most of Instagram artist hosting this event. People will introducing about their name, what's kind of art etc . Your comment section would be full of introduces and more crowded, you can gaining more likes and share too. Your mother will be suprised, definitely😱
@@keqingxiauu thanks, i occasionally participate in artist support posts but it rarely helps much. My art still needs improvement of course, there is always room for improvement.
Hello Seny! Your video was very insightful and useful for my own artistic journey. Especially when I finish with university and get my degree, I do want to start my own art UA-cam channel. So the advice was very helpful! I do have a question: When you started your own channel, how did you decide which content to make?
Hey Nephtalie, I'm really happy this video was helpful for you! :) Honestly, when I first started I had no idea what I was doing, so it was kind of just throwing ideas on the wall and see what sticks! I was also imitating other channels or taking inspirations from them - which is always a good source of ideas when figuring out what you wanna do. I think the most important when it comes to your content is to give value only you can give. Generic tutorials and entertaining art videos have their own value of being useful or fun, but if you add a bit of yourself and approach things from an angle only you can do, it really can make your channel stand out and be uniquely yours!
I'm really happy if I could help! I know it can be hard to get back into it after a long break, so take your time and focus on making art that makes you happy! I wish you good luck!
Thank you for these tips, seriously! I’ve been using Instagram for many years now, and recently decided to make a new account and push myself in a different artistic direction. Sadly, Instagram isn’t too kind to newer accounts (especially since reels became a thing 🥹). So, I’ve been trying to branch out to different sites.. and then, this video came up! Super grateful 🥰🥰 I love the last tip, especially. I think a lot of artists (including myself) get caught up in the numbers, when, in my opinion, enjoying the process should be the priority~ 💕
I'm primarily working digitally now, but I'm trying to tailor my content to fit both traditional and digital artists as well. When it comes to posting on social media, traditional artists might feel at disadvantage, but you just have to plan smart. You can make multiple posts of a single artwork, WIP shots, posts showing your tools or process - all the small details. People love traditional art, so use all the physical aspects to your advantage.

I'm really happy if I could help! Yeah, I think the most important part of this video is that last advice, don't ever let the numbers discourage you! :)
Yup those are several good tips. Art isn't easy to get seen... some channels get pushed unfairly quickly while other good artists get left behind... hopefully this gets more artists noticed.
