Day 30 & my sweet Mom’s 80 birthday 🥳 Last night she reminded me of her mother having a near death experience during her birth~ she found herself above her hemorrhaging young body looking down and thinking “ someone needs to help that poor girl” During this morning’s practice I devoted my energy to being there in time and helping her. The kriya ended right at my mothers birth time. I felt like the connection with my grandmother was very real inside and outside of time somehow simultaneously 💎 🎈 🥂 🌅

hello yogigems! I really need your help and guidance. I practice kundalini yoga for 6 months with your videos, but I haven't had a personal guru to guide me trough my awakening, i practice everyday different practices, this month i feel SO SENSITIVE to everything, peoples emotions, energies, reactions, my suroinding and i get really overwhelmed, it hapends on a daily basis to cry, and feel strong anxiety after comunicating with people and even more when it triggers me. I cry for and hour and is really exhausting. I dont lnow what to do, my family is concernd that i am not okay and i am to sensitive( especially my mom) with her i expiriende the most intence emotions, the smallest thing like her judjing me makes me cry and feel suffocated. ( i am 18 years old)I feel messed up and like I am going crazy, I do your practices when I feel this way, but it helps for e moment and then when I get a trauma response I come back to this feelings. I desperately need your help and support ❤😢

The more I observe myself and my patterns, the easier it gets for me to break free from the thought loops. It also makes it easier for me to depersonalise the situation, but beaware of the balance between depersonalization as a coping machenism, and depersonalization yet taking responsibility for your actions. Connecting to my body and breath as well. The breath is said to be the anchor to the present moment. You can use the breath as a tool to regulate your nervous system. By taking control of your breath, slowing it down with deep, slow breaths, in through the nose and out through your mouth, you signal to your body: "hey, it's okay. I'm here, and we are safe". Also, beware of what thoughts you are feeding in your mind! C: Sending you lots of love. What you are going through is showing you how fucking strong of a soul you have! Connect to nature, as yogigems says, nature is always there providing you with unconditional love and acceptance

Thank you for sharing, dear Joanna. Nausea can arise when we are detoxing and breath of fire is a cleansing breath that is taken through the lower chakras in this exercise. Be sure to drink plenty of water to support the process, and if it ever feels too much, slow the breath right down until you feel ready to rejoin. I hope that helps. Lots of love to you ♥️

How long did it take for you to be able to sit in a very straight posture? I’m quite fit but I’ve never been able to get into lotus position so sit on the floor with my legs crossed and leaning back on my straight sofa. I’m hoping in time that my core muscles will be strong enough so I can do it without any support.
Thank you for sharing this challenge, dear Morgan. Leaning back on the sofa is perfect - give yourself all the support you need to be comfortable in your practice. You may also find it comfortable to sit up on a block, bolster or cushion - as high as you need to raise the hips, enabling the knees to get closer to the earth. In rock pose (sitting on the heels) it might be helpful to straddle a bolster or cushion. I hope those suggestions help. Sitting without this support will come with time, but until then, use all the support you need to be comfortable. Be patient and kind with your body. Lots of love to you ♥️
