I'm 57 and high BP runs in my family. I've been on meds for nearly 20 years now and my numbers are all over the place. In the past when I walked it would come down but then I stopped walking. I lost my 28 year old son in 2020 to cancer and I just went downhill in a spiral. I'm 212 Lbs and our daughter gets married next October, I've been walking on treadmill the past 2 weeks 45 minutes each session and BP has come down. It's time I put my chin up, stand tall, accept a horrible experience I cannot change and get my health taken care of for good.

I just came across your channel and I immediately subscribed. I was diagnosed with high BP when I reached Menopause and I was put on meds and I am also a strong believer in alternative therapies. I started juicing Beets and Carrots and I am already starting to see a big drop in my BP numbers. I have Flaxseed Powder in my Kitchen cabinets and I will now take my health seriously. Thank you Docs. for your great video.

I appreciate you both for giving advice about natural ways to possibly reduce BP. Typically doctors encourage us to take meds. As I get older (76), I am more and more convinced that most of the healthcare community is only interested in promoting pharmaceuticals. They try to convince us older people that we should be on all kinds of meds. Thank you both for offering self care advice. ❤

I lowered my blood pressure significantly (140/90 to 115/75) by changing my diet. It took 6 months for the complete change. I now drink beet juice every day, oatmeal and fruit every day, ground flaxseeds every day. Lots of greens and veggies. Very little if any animal products. I already exercised regularly so I couldn't change that.

    Another informative video!
Of course I have high blood pressure. Everytime I walk into a doctor's office, it's off the charts. And the first thing the doctor will ask is if I use a lot of salt. Ironically I don't. I've never been a big salter and I really don't like things very salty.
Then I learned about white coat syndrome or white coat hypertension. My doctor had me take my blood pressure at home for two weeks and write it down. I took the readings to the doctor, along with my monitor. My readings were normal at home. My reading was again high in the doctor's office, with his monitor and mine.
I was actually off blood pressure medicine for several years but then went to a new doctor. It took me four years of seeing her to have a low to normal blood pressure reading in her office. I was taking two blood pressure medicines but am down to one now.
I appreciate you giving us a couple of alternatives in the form of food that can be incorporated into our diets.
I have no problem with beets as we used to grow them. And there are ways of preparing them so they don't taste like dirt.
I've also been watching another UA-camr who has been incorporating flaxseed into her diet for it's medicinal purposes. She adds flaxseed to many recipes, especially her oatmeal bakes.
This feels like the easiest assignment you've given us! This is totally doable! And if these two ingredients can help lower blood pressure, I'm totally onboard!
Thanks again for sharing another great video!

Hi, I'm 59 year old male, I have never had an issue with BP. I exersice regularly, I'm a vegetarian, I don't smoke, or drink alcohol. My BP has alway been in the normal to a bit lower range, with a low pulse. Within the past 4 months, I have noticed being dizzy, a pressure in my head, with ringing in my ears, and a bit out of breath. For the past 4 months, my BP has been as high as 158/90. Thank you. Al

But now at the age of 58 I’ve developed it. I take HRT, and have regular check ups, it was on one of these checks that I found out I had high blood pressure. Thanks for the tips on what to take as a natural aid to lowering it. Beetroot, does have a nice earthy smell/taste, which I really like. I do eat them in salads regularly, but I will also include their juice in my diet. Flaxseed is another nice one. I dont eat that, but I shall start, that’s really easy to access & you can eat it anytime anywhere. What about if your BP is borderline too low? What can you do to increase your BP? This would be an interesting topic to discuss.
In the past year my BP has constantly stayed low but a few times below the 80/60. It’s not a nice feeling and scary. In fact I could feel when it gets in 90s/60s. I usually get up and walk to get my blood flow going to increase the pressure - and it seems to help. Also this only appears to happen in the mornings.
I wasn’t diagnosed with hypotension but I still monitor BP, which I check it often. I had cardiologist check me out and my tests came back normal. He basically said “this isn’t something we would often recommend but in your case eat a small bag of potato chips.”
A discussion of low BP would be of interest.

Weak adrenals can cause low blood pressure. Sea salt is recommended to help bring up blood pressure. Have your adrenals checked out to make sure they are okay. One type of test you can do at home involves shining a flashlight into one of your eyes while standing in front of a mirror. Your pupil should contract and hold. This indicates your adrenals are okay. If it relaxes, or relaxes and then contracts over and over again, your adrenals are weak. In addition to the sea salt, there are other supplements that can help.

If someone has low blood pressure but is asymptomatic, it's probably something not to be worried about. But less than 90/60 is very low. I've not found much information on this topic other than to suggest breathwork designed to balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems or to look up yoga for low blood pressure and try that.

I’m 5’4” and weigh 115 lbs so I can’t lose more weight and my diet is perfect but I still have high BP. I’ve tried two different BP meds both with horrible side effects. I just started on Aged Garlic which many doctors are recommending so I hope that helps. Any suggestions are welcome!
