5:08 How to use hibiscus tea for high blood pressure
Today I want to share a simple remedy for high blood pressure. It’s important to figure out the root cause of your high blood pressure and fix that issue. But, in the meantime, hibiscus tea is a fantastic natural remedy for high blood pressure that has virtually no side effects.
Different studies on hibiscus tea have reported significant blood pressure lowering effects in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Some studies suggest it may be almost as effective or just as effective as certain blood pressure medications.
Hibiscus tea may have a slight diuretic effect, but it doesn’t reduce potassium. It can also help lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.
The pigments in hibiscus flowers are composed of a certain phytonutrient that acts as a natural ACE inhibitor. Many different blood pressure medications are ACE inhibitors.
Try drinking hibiscus tea for about six weeks to see the full effect. You may also want to focus on getting your vitamin D and potassium levels higher. Just be sure to check with your doctor before drinking hibiscus tea if you take a diuretic.
Other benefits of hibiscus tea:
• Studies suggest it may help inhibit gastric cancer by up to 52%.
• Studies have shown that the phytonutrients in hibiscus tea have antimicrobial properties that may be as effective as certain antibiotics and more effective than penicillin.
• One study showed that it may help you decrease fat on your liver.

Dr. Berg I've been an R.N. for 30 years. You are the ONLY doctor I've ever seen show actual compassion and sincere interest in creating health in your patients. God bless you.
He doesn't have Big Pharma reps visiting him like the typical clinic or hospital doc does 👍
Wow. That statement speaks volumes. I'm an RT. We definitely need change in our care model.
Please tell me how to prepare hibiscus tea
I fully fully agree with your opinion and assessment. I am related to health care too.

I lowered my blood pressure from 180/101 to 120/73 with hibiscus tea. I'm 67. It took two months.
How much did you drink daily?
Yes, how many cups per day did you drink?
I also wona know that, how many cups per day?
@@loratomotsietsi5583 try 2 cups once in am once at night
Wow! 👍
This is the truth! Been to hospital 2Xs and meds were horrific, started drinking hibiscus tea, beet root juice, Vitamin D and flax seed oil capules....NO MEDS EVER AGAIN! My BP is now 110/70.
How long did it take for you to get your BP back to normal, after you started eating healthy?
@heavenisreal7058 it took me about a year to figure it all out. I kept trying more and more things. Beet root juice helped immediately when my BP went high. I changed everything, how I ate and walking 30 min a day really helps. I was afraid to move when I had heart and BP issues but 30 min a day works wonders too.
@@christinaminoguchi5236 thanks for your reply! Gives me hope that I could bring my blood pressure down eventually one day if I change my diet, lose weight, and excercise.🙂
@heavenisreal7058 I stopped eating ALL processed and fast foods. I also started taking Hawthorne berry. Try them all! I also stopped all soda and alcohol. Keep going. Oh and if it gets too high look up Legs up the wall yoga pose. That brings it down when it went too high, was a life saver!
@@christinaminoguchi5236 How much beet juice are you drinking daily? i am concerned about the carbs in the beet juice. and what time of day for beet juice? what time for the hibicus tea? i take lisinopril for high blood pressure and i want to stop the drug. thanks for your response.

Dr. Berg. I just want to say that I listened, you delivered and you saved me. Normally, when I go to the doctor my BP is usually like 122/80. My last appointment was July 27th. I am recovering from surgery so at the time I was still on meds, having pain etc. My BP was 179/110, which is very unusual for me. I ate blueberries 🫐 drank hibiscus 🌺 tea in the evening and only water. Today when I went to my appointment, my pressure went down to 122/70!!! I am so grateful 🙏🏽 for you giving us the info that's gonna save our lives. I even lost 6 lbs. I wish you could be my doctor. I'll just continue to keep getting info from you to live a healthy and full life. THANK YOU! ❤❤❤❤

I had been on the keto diet for a year and half because I wanted to get my blood pressure lower. I had some success lowering blood pressure and losing over 30 pounds. I started hibiscus tea after watching this video. My blood pressure is within the acceptable range now. I’m 73 years old.
That's fantastic! Congratulations! Dr. Berg would love to hear about your success! Please use this link to upload your story:

I had a high blood pressure for almost 30 years. I also have reumatic disease. Well since I look to the video's of Dr Berg I know that reumatic patients have often a potasium shortage. I let it checked out and indeed I have short of potasium. So I supplement potasium, you know what? I feel much better and I have a normal blood pressure. My doctor and rheumatologist didn't made the connexion to potassium, but Dr Berg does! Thank you Dr Berg! 😃
🙌 would you show your docs your improvements and see if they could become curious about this?
What kind of potassium you use
If you aren't eating a high sodium diet, also look into celery smoothies or celery juice. It really helps with blood pressure. However, peoole who already have a high sodium diet dont benefit as much or notice a difference due to the natural sodium present in celery. I do celery, fresh ginger, and beet root powder smoothies. Those 3 are a powerhouse for blood pressure control too.
I’m curious how you supplement potassium. Daily recommendation is like 4500 mg but supplements are like 100mg. I think FDA drastically restricts potassium for some reason.
Yes, how is it supplemented in high amounts? Just through mostly high potassium foods? Please advise ☀
We call it Zobo here in Nigeria, very popular local soft drink made boiled with ginger and pineapple most times
After 15 years of taking high blood pressure medication I found a natural remedy that I use and I no longer have high blood pressure at all! For a year now, my blood pressure has been normal WITH BEET JUICE! Of course, important segments are normal exercises (walking), reduce salt, fat, alcohol, coffee, reduce but do not eliminate, but the holy medicine for high blood pressure is beet juice! Also, beetroot juice must be drunk in moderation, because if you drink, say, an entire glass your blood pressure can drop below normal! So, who has high blood pressure, half a cup of beet juice before noon and half a cup after noon! And you don't need that therapy every day, just sometimes! I now drink one cup a week, sometimes two!
Amazing!! Just bought some hibiscus 🌺 tea. Thanks!!

Dr. Berg to the rescue once again. I’ve always had borderline BP (140s/80-90). After watching this video I began mixing organic hibiscus with my organic green tea everyday. I am Jamaican, and in Jamaica we use it as a herbal medicine, plus we use it as a beverage at Christmas, it is boiled with ginger cloves and cinnamon, left overnight and then sweetened with your choice of sweetener, add Jamaican rum or red wine poured over ice and served. Every West Indian home has this ingredient in their pantry and it is easily available at Korean and West Indian Supermarkets

A neighbor of mine recommended I start drinking this tea for my severely painful menstrual cramps. IT WORKS! The second I know I’m going to get my period I drink a small teapot (about 2 cups) with a generous handful of flowers steeped for 10-15mins and continue every night til I’m done. I’ve come to love the tart taste since it prevents me from being in pain. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE 🥰

This guy NEVER fails! 🙌
My mom gets the dehydrated flowers from my local Latin market and boils them to make the tea. She used to add in chia seeds but recently started adding cinnamon sticks or cloves. I didn’t know about it lowering blood pressure so I’m glad my family has already been drinking it for the past few years.
I recently stopped adding cinnamon sticks to my tea since I didn’t have access to Ceylon cinnamon. Regular cinnamon is jam packed with coumarin, which is good in small amounts, but hard to gauge how many mls your ingesting when brewing cinnamon sticks. Too much coumarin have bad effects
@@budgy54 if you are in the US, you can get Ceylon cinnamon in any Mexican grocery store or in the Mexican aisle of any big chain grocery store.

In Mexico we call it “agua de de flor de Jamaica " and drink it as a cold beverage but I instead of using regular sugar I drink it alone or sometimes I add stevia for a cold drink. I love it!
I add monk fruit sweetener to mine. I don’t like the after taste of stevia.
