Cheers for the feedback Simon👍 Still got a few settings to tweak, so good to hear what others think. It was a great day out in the hills...and nice to not get rained on for a change! 👍☺
Glad to see you back. Our last GoPro did that too. Bet y’all really enjoyed Spain. The weather was probably a lot nicer. The wind was crazy. You had to find some wind breaks to talk. 😂. Those hot spring pools were really something in their day. What a cute town and always live a pub crawl. 😂
Hi Bill & DeAnna. When I was trying to find a solution on the internet, I found a lot of people reporting Gopro 9s that had just failed for no reason. Hopefully the DJI works out better! We enjoyed Spain, but unfortunately it was very rainy when we were there. It seems to be all of Europe at the moment. It was a very windy day for our walk, but at least we saw the sun for an hour or two! 😂 All the best & catch you soon👍☺
Good to see you still out and about. I've been hearing that many have been having GoPro issues lately...maybe there is a built in timer for obsolescence! lol So many wide open views...amazing!! So great that there are so many public right-of-ways through these areas. Time for a cup of tea...or a beer for that matter! lol Keep well and have a great rest of the week.
Hi Bruce. When I was searching for fixes on the internet, it's amazing how many people on the technical forums were reporting their GoPro 9 had failed completely after 2 or 3 years! Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I expect cameras to keep working unless you damage them in some way 😁 Anyway, it was great be out grabbing a few shots again! Hope yourself & Otis are both keeping well👍☺
Hi sir. Great to have you back sharing these great walks. A little bit of everything with more wild walking to some great Riverside meanders. The Mills were so crucial to industry and jobs. The lido is a little historic gem. I'm a DJI fan and have the pocket osmo 1. My mate Terry has the Osmo 2 and the drone and are brilliant I'll need to look up the spec for your one as I could be in the market for a more adventure camera that does underwater shots for some ideas I have. Anyway grand to have to back with the boots on and taking on an adventure. Speak soon sir👍😃👍🥾🥾🎒🥃🥃
Hi Scott. The DJI products seem to get a lot of praise for build quality, so fingers crossed I'll be happy with the Action 4. My Gopro 9 didn't exactly have a hard life but was always letting me down one way or another. It was great to be back out. Hopefully we can look forward to some better weather now. Even Spain was a complete washout! 😂☔🌨 All the best & catch you soon👍
Absolutely loved this video! ⛰ The scenery looks amazing, even with the wind. What a great hike 👍. That pub stop looked well deserved - the beer looks delicious!🍺 Looking forward to seeing more of your walks soon!
Nice place for a walk Des...glad you found my Panda hat, i shall have to nip up there to retrieve it...Every time we pass the Lantern pike it has been closed...good excuse to keep going back i suppose.
Hi Steve, if I'd known it was yours I could have posted it across. It's looking a bit bedraggled now though! I think the Lantern Pike did properly shut for a while. Must be under new management, as it was open promptly at 12-30 and semed to be srrving food etc.
Looked a very good walk Des. Always nice to include a couple of pubs. The Lido must have been a popular spot in its day. I wonder how many relied on the mill for a living. An enjoyable video mate good to see you back out again. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
Hi Watto. Doesn't seem to be much left of the lido now. It does seem a strange place for it in the back end of nowhere! Most of the textile mills are demolished in that area now, but it used to provide most of the employment. I think even our camp site is on the site of an old mill. Hope you're both keeping well👍
Hi both nice to see you back with another video, sorry about the Gopro but great that you got something different and went to Spain as well 🙂 This walk looked so beautiful, loved the sound of water and the views were fabulous and it was interesting to see the lido resort footage( think thats what you called it) Looks like nice pubs that you had drinks at ! Da iawn ! That was lovely ~ Anna 👍
Hi Anna. Yes, can't go wrong for walking in that area, even though we made it a fairly easy one. I hope the DJI Osmo Action works better for me. I know loads of people love their Gopros, but I was always waiting for the next problem to happen with mine! 😁 All the best & see you soon👍☺
Nice one Des. Looks a perfect walk (apart from that last pub) 🤦🏻♂️ Shame about the GoPro - been lovin your sketches - much better than a camera mate. Interesting old lido and beautiful views as always. Still haven’t made it to the peaks, we seem to be so flippin busy. Much easier when I was working 😃 Hope you and Maria are doing well.
Hi Dave. Yes that last pub...won't be revisiting for a while. The Pack Horse we sat outside excellent though! Cheers about the sketches👍 It's a good passtime for when we're away in the van. Give us a shout if you are planning a trip up this way. Would be great to meet up. Just been planning Youlgreave for May bank holiday, and Denbighshire for end of May. Have you got anything coming up?
@@DesGreene Yep we're up to Scotland for a month - Mull, Ardnamurchan (just not the NC500) 😃😃 in May and lots coming up through to Europe in September. But would love to get there - maybe early October before the weather turns?
This one nearly slipped by. Go Pros do that apparently. Interesting walk. I was just wondering where you had wandered off to and surprise it was the pub(s) LOL
Hello Maria and Des, we are sad to hear, that your GoPro has made so much problems. We have a 7 and a 9 and don't loose any films. Your path was very nice through the bush, and it theems, it was a nice Pub-Tour, too. But bad beer is always a problem. Greetings Birgit and Kai
Hi Birgit & Kai. Glad you are getting on well with your Gopros. Maybe mine was a rogue, as I always had problems with it. So I thought I'd try something different. It was a nice walk (although not very long). The unpressuried cask beer we have here needs real skill to keep and serve well. Well kept real ale is one of my favourite things in life though!👍👍🍺
Nice one Des. A very enjoyable hike. Pity about the last Beer. I've heard many a bad thing about GoPros. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Chris. Nice easy wander, as Maria hadn't been out for a while 😁
Touch wood, I'm enjoying the DJI Osmo Action 4. No annoying niggles so far!
The new camera looks great Des, great to see you back out!
Cheers Nathan! Many thanks👍
Great to you and Maria on a walk Des
For the record the film looked great as did the walk mate 🤠👍
Always nice to finish with a beer 🍻
ATB Simon 🤠👍

Ps: CHAMPIONS! 🏆
Apologies for the slow reply, Terry. We've even had the open top bus parade now! 😁 Championes!👍😁⚽️🏆
