- Join us for a walk in the Derbyshire Dales. The circular route is around seven miles in total and you can start and finish in the little village of Biggin. The area is great for wildflowers and there are some fantastic limestone structures and also caves to explore along the way.

A beautiful hike Des. We've had some real wet and windy weather. Fossils are really interesting, a glimpse of time gone by. You wouldn't think it was June. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty hike day, things are still so green. It's drying up here already.
Good to see the waters glowing des but sad to hear of the rivers health. As you know it's a big conversation down here too. The valley though was a delight - so beautiful not that the farmers have much time to enjoy it right now - they're battling the elements it sounds. A pleasant walk over all though and a great finish. Fascinating fossil. Enjoyed the walk and talk. I would have loved to have seen the campsite and facilities though.
Those Dales are amazing so green and lush but has you said the farmers there abouts are having a problems

Shame about the river there. Same everywhere isn’t it.
Our river has just been tested around her and water quality is rated “poor”. Haven’t seen any Otters for ages, hopefully they’re still around. 🤞
