A beautiful hike Des. We've had some real wet and windy weather. Fossils are really interesting, a glimpse of time gone by. You wouldn't think it was June. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Chris. Sorry for the slow reply. I've been a bit lazy with UA-cam lately (spending too much time learning Welsh! 😁). It was definitely nice to get a sunny day for a change. This summer still hasn't quite got going has it?
Lovely video!! Nice to watch your walks again through those lovely green english landscapes! It was great to listen the birds singing and the lovely river, hope it gets better. Thanks for sharing!👍
Glad you enjoyed it👍 It is a lovely walk, but I'm afraid most of the rivers in the UK are having a hard time at the moment 🙁 Hopefully things will improve. All the best & catch you soon👍☺
Hi both nice that you got out camping again, this is such a lovely place that looks so peaceful and you had a beautiful day for it. Love the sound of the caves and the pub looked nice 😃 ~ Anna 👍
Hi Anna. It was a lovely weekend, and the farm we stay on there has beautiful views too! Hope yourself and Alf are keeping well! Dw i dal yn ymarfer fy Nghymraeg!👍😁
Those Dales are amazing so green and lush but has you said the farmers there abouts are having a problems A great walk Des and a well deserved pint 🍻 Best wishes to you both Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Hi Simon. Yes, such a nice area to walk! Shame about the state of the rivers, but I guess that's the conflict between producing cheap food and caring for the environment. Difficult to do both! All the best & catch you soon👍☺
Good to see the waters glowing des but sad to hear of the rivers health. As you know it's a big conversation down here too. The valley though was a delight - so beautiful not that the farmers have much time to enjoy it right now - they're battling the elements it sounds. A pleasant walk over all though and a great finish. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark. Not sure I said it correctly on the vid, but the water definitely didn't have the glow or sparkle that these limestone streams used to have. Very little weed growth either! Definitely a hot topic at the moment. Hope you're keeping well. Catch you soon👍
Glad you enjoyed it👍 Sorry I didn't show the site. It's tiny and no facilities other than water and toilet emptying (so it's for campervans/motorhomes/caravans only). I did a little video of Chapel Farm on a previous visit - ua-cam.com/video/xhhv6cAaDS4/v-deo.htmlsi=hNgc145_VddMYsix If you need a tent site in this area, The Waterloo pub at Biggin has a site right behind it. Many thanks for watching👍
Nice one Des. Beautiful wander mate. Shame about the river there. Same everywhere isn’t it. Our river has just been tested around her and water quality is rated “poor”. Haven’t seen any Otters for ages, hopefully they’re still around. 🤞
Hi Dave. Yes, such a shame. Those limestone bedded streams used to have a real sparkle to them. You can just look at it and see something's wrong. Fingers crossed on the otters! Didn't they show up late summer in previos years?
@@DesGreene I saw one last Autumn - twice but no cubs Des 😨 Mother Otters will only have two sets of cubs, so maybe a new female hasn't taken over that territory. To be fair I haven't been up there as much as previously and the Wildlife Trust set a Mink Trap as they didn't think there were Otters there. Hopefully hasn't put them off! (or worse!)

Hi Des, you had a gorgeous day for your walk down Biggin Dale. I liked the sound of your Blue Monkey
Marmoset at the end! 🍺
Hi Patrick. Yes, a lovely day and that beer was a new one to round things off! 👍☺
I love Biggin Dale. Looks like you were lucky with the weather and got some sunshine
Isn't it beautiful? And yes, after all the rain we've had a little sunshine was most welcome!👍☺

Pretty hike day, things are still so green. It's drying up here already.
Hi there! Not much chance of anything drying up here! Still pretty lousy weather this Summer 😁 Hope you are both keeping well. See you soon👍☺
Lovely walk and the beer looked good.
It was a lovely walk, and nice to have a break from the rain for a few hours! 👍😁

@@DesGreene Alright des, no the waters are dimmer - it's sad weed and all. I'm alright mate. Take care.
Very nice. Brilliant. I like it very much.
Have a blessed time. Greetings ~ Milan
Thank you very much!👍☺
Fascinating fossil. Enjoyed the walk and talk. I would have loved to have seen the campsite and facilities though.
