Somethings in this video are a tad extreme. I would change the oil feed pipe. But in regards to the oil pump if you do regular oil changes you will be fine. I would stick two cans of oil cleaner up it and then dump the oil and filter.

Not cost effective most if not all turbo suppliers insist virtual strip and rebuild with all carbon deposits removed or no warranty. You must have the bill to prove it was done. Turbo, cam belt kit,oil pump, feed pipes , filters plus the Labour cost.....the price of a decent small petrol run about. Psa Hdi engines with or without dpfs just a disasterous money pit. Four local dealers will no longer take diesels in part exchange nor will sell them. Long gone are the days of longevity economy and reliability.

Wouldn't it be wise to clean the intercooler as well?

Are you sure you installed the oil filter correctly? These have a nipple that engages with a small hole at the bottom of the housing, you just put it in the housing and tightened it. Also why did you replace the oil pump? did the car suffer from lack of oil pressure?

Maithri Gunasekara These engines are known for sludge build up. It only becomes a problem if you do do regular oil changes.

The way that filter change was done was plain wrong.

iv just done most of this to my mini and had to take the DPF out through the bottom of te engine bay, the heat sheilding makes this basically impossible to do without damaging something, don't worry if you havent completely borked thge car getting it out because you still have to get it back in again. This pleb seemed to do it by magic, ahszam and the DPF is ready to bolt back in place.
    Useless video
