Haha, the 6:37 "That's okay it's still delicious!" Beanie Weenie girl was a classmate of mine from second grade all the way through high school. Her parents always had her in beauty pageants and she would always win them. This caused her parents to have delusions of grandeur that their little daughter was going to be the next big child star, and enrolled her in acting classes. She got a one liner in this commercial, plus one more where she spoke in unison with a bunch of other kids, and did some modeling for some local department stores but that was it.
Anyway, I ran into her for the first time in over 15 years at a grocery store a good 40 miles from where we grew up yesterday. This prompted me to see if I could find this commercial on UA-cam, and sure enough, here it is. Well, the whole acting thing might not have panned out for her, but I must say that she still looks pretty damn good for 37.
great story thank you for sharing
I live in Mississippi & these commercials are just now airing here.
I had to laugh at the "JAZZ" shirt in the Montgomery Ward Kids Store ad. That just screams 80s. I remember back to school time as a kid, and I never liked clothes shopping. I was always quick to run off to KB Toys instead. :-)
I'm going to call my son Smud.
I was a WonderBread kid. My family never bought Rainbo Bread.
Hey,these are in my town in sacramento....and I remember all these commercials!
lol RIP CIRCUIT CITY
I need some of those itsy bitsy beanie weenies. (Had to comment here since both of those had comments disabled)
I wonder how many times it took him to slide by the dime lol
Song on that Bud commercial sounds like SISTERS OF MERCY!!! Hilarious.
Rolls his eyes at SMUD
There’s two commercials featuring the voice of Wolfman Jack. 😎
OWW!!! Wolfman Jack says someone's at the front door BABY! ua-cam.com/video/6XDeXfGHXfw/v-deo.html
The Jeep commercial voiceover is the same guy who did Rock and Roll Racing for the Super NES. Totally trivial, I know.
I had no idea Jack in the box was that old.
No more montgomery ward or circuit city....:(
Circuit city don't exist no more!
Melting! What A Country!
The SMUD lady looked just like Diana from the tvshow V . She was "Commander of the lizardpeople". I was just waiting for the SMUD lady to eat a hamster.
Wow my mom used to have an old eagle car.
Yo I love beanies and weanies, I put it on white rice and I've loved it even though it looked odd
@PowerGlove79 He definitely said "Melting, what a CONCEPT"
So from what I see in the Bud Dry ad, Mulder used to hit on people back in the day, is that right?
Burger King's original chicken sandwiches are nasty now
those are some pretty righteous 80's mom jeans around 7:12
Famous Footwear looks like a trip. I wanna go!
Was this the Wolfman Jack volume?
Someone needs to replace the "SPAM" in that sketch with SMUD!
The Montgomery Ward "stop the bleeding" sale!
Rainbo First Bread Part II?
The two voices singing at once in the Bud Dry commercial sounded kinda off key. Maybe even kinda creepy. :-D
Why buy a Geo when you could bought a Jeep or even a Camaro for almost the same price?
@pika23 He said the JEEP ad.
The Chevy commercial sounds like it could be the real Wolfman Jack (I was under the impression he died way before 1995) but the Famous Footwear sounds like a bad impersonator to me.
@pika23 Wolfman Jack was NOT black. Watch the movie American Graffiti. Wolfman Jack is in that movie.
@pika23 I think you are mistaking him for Alan Freed. That story is not about wolfman Jack.
@pika23 Wolfman Jack was definetly NOT black.
ok I realized he wasn't black a few days ago...I thought I deleted that comment...some people THOUGHT he was black because of his voice and music choices...
They went out of business. :c
@durphy that would be the legendary Wolf Man Jack! he was very popular in the 50's-70's...lot's of people didn't know he was black....in the Jim Crow years, that was sort of an advantage he had...no one saw his face, so he wasn't subject to racism I guess.
