NBC was the ultimate 80s comeback story. And continued into the 90s.
Another great dramatic moment on highway man at 6:00 thanks!
Kind of amazing that Penney's is still around.
Maybe that's why dad left! haha
@fattoler The title character is one of a team of federal marshals empowered to right wrongs "where ordinary laws do not reach" and to haul special cargo in his high-tech 18-wheeler. It's essentially a collection of 80's action movie cliches...borrowing heavily from Mad Max/The Road Warrior.
Also...now I want to see the Highwayman...it's like Mad Max meets Knight Rider.
The Wendy's commercial was bizzare
I feel like they revisited that commercial idea for a current one. Only the current one is about chicken tenders iirc. 1:21
Room 227: JACKEE!!
That Wendy's ad was odd...
I've already won a free frappe & breajkffast sandwich f/ McDonald's Monopoly.
"The Highwayman" looks MST worthy
Wasn't that blonde guy in The Highwayman the guy who was in the old Energizer commercials? You know the guy who said, "Enerjoyzah, oy!"
"You just ate your last burrito"
Is Wheel & Jeopardy still on the WRCB- TV schedule to this day, as far as I know?
Grand Prix: We put the door handles on the window frame -- because we are 80s badass.
These people are way too obsessed with their cereal!
"You just ate your last burrito (cuz it's mine now)"
Still don't understand how NBC took this show on -- Probably because it was created by the Knight Rider guy
And all these years later Bill Markham @ 2:12 and Paul Barys @ 2:42 are still on the air. They pretty much look the same, too.
Wendy can talk about how their burger is great and all...but where I'm from, McDonalds (and the local enterprising roadside burger stalls) rules the roost.
You know that guy was farting in the hot tub
@VelvetCyberpunk Sure was! Mark "Jacko" Jackson, on loan from the American-Australian relations bureau of the 1980s, started by Paul Hogan :D
Shooter McGavin at 7:45!!!!!
@orion5175 It's almost all food prizes, like a free Big Mac, medium fries, etc. There's only one million dollar Boardwalk, and probably 100 million game pieces printed. It's just a marketing trick to get people to eat there.
OMG Beverly Hills Buntz....starring Ambassador Lond Mollari!!!!!!!!!
okay I noticed that they brought back the monopoly at mcDonalds and I was curious about the 1 in 4 chances of winning that they have now days. It has been years since I have been in a McDonalds and was curious about what you win in that 1 in 4 chance a free coke or fries or like the prize I won years back $2
minus the 32 cents for a stamp the rest was blown on blow pops.
The Highwayman looks like the TV equivelent of the biggest dump. X3 Feel sorry for you guys. o_o;;;
@TR47 kinda figured that but with a 1 in 4 chance at winning that is a lot of money for the company to fork out on food. but then again mcdonalds makes alot so it might bet to their benefit.
@fattoler About an hour long.
