That Bubblicious commercial is such a classic!! Always loved that commercial!! MTV needs to have a Retro MTV and play all the videos from the 80's and 90's!! I bet more people would watch that channel than the reality garbage that is on regular MTV!
@orion5175 Yes, they were a group comprised of siblings signed to Motown and had a number of hits, including "I Like It", which was reworked for this ad.
El DeBarge was their lead singer...the guy with the craazy mullet. He later had a solo career and "Who Is Johnny" was part of that.

Love these! I was a Freshman in 84 but I still remember them vividly. I used to spray that Impulse stuff all over and no one ever followed me with gifts. LOL

@ 0:31, I remember this magazine! Hard to believe, before modern technology (soon-to-be-known as the internet), like Circus and Metal Edge, this was the way I could get my updates or the latest news on my favorite bands.
It actually remained in publication until 2008.

Conan The Destroyer was my brother's favorite movie. My parents recorded it off HBO and he'd act the whole thing out.

I always remember " who is johnny" song and always thought it was just that one guy's name, now it's still just him and he goes by El Debarge.
I didn't get to fully experience MTV until around 87/88. I would have to go to a friends house to watch it before that time, but I still had Friday Night Videos (NBC) and Night Tracks (TBS) to watch in which Night Tracks was awesome!.

this is a good one, the bubble gum song is awesome, and the other commercials are easy to make fun off, and of course theres Arnold. And whats up with that pic of Glenn Tipton at :59 ? That's the first time i ever saw him make a funny face.
