    Wondering if a lab hotplate would be a good buy for you. They've got magnetic stirring, just gotta find the size of stir bar that would work for something that thick. It would also keep the plastisol hot so no need to throw it back in the microwave.

      The super cheap ones are around 30 bucks here in Canada so south of the border they'd be way cheaper. At least it wouldn't be an expensive experiment.

    Fishing may have sucked but thanks for demonstrating my suggestion. I think the effect was cool and liked the tropical punch color the best. Did the baits retain the smell after they cured?

    Since you're into the realm of food grade colorants, you should try turmeric powder. It might just make one of the most intense yellow's you've ever seen!

      Never mixed it into plastic and I'm not sure if you have either, but mica powder (dollar store eye shadow) does some pretty cool stuff, too.

      It might burn the fish's mouth & taste terrible! But the mica is a fantastic idea for sure

    If you ever try this again I’d say try using a electric plug in stove or a heating piece that slowly brings it to temperature or as you are mixing it keep it on something that keeps it up to temperature

    One tip for color powder: For best mixing result, put powder first and add just a few plastisol. Mix it . Add rest of plastisol and heat.
    I have best result when mix color before heating.
    (Sorry for my english....i'm just French 😂)

    Cool video I’m going to try that I use hot water bath to set my mixing cup in and I don’t use metallic stir stick it cools it down to fast love them colors your going to catch tons of bass!!!!

    This is amazing after I buy the molds is it possible to melt water bottles for my plastic? I only drink bottled water so if its possible It would be nice to have a use for all the empty bottles ihave in the trash.

    A regular hot plate is slower than a microwave but for this out works great. You can use a small aluminum can to melt and re-melt your plastics. Use a piece of aluminum or wood crafts stick to stir.

    The pine straw around your tree looks good and what if you tried half a cool aid pack to your cup or 1/4 of it making my gears turn in my head lol. Awesome job

      @@billallmon4094 the koolaid packets shouldn't have sugar. Should just be flavoring and coloring.

    Master, I used powders. Unfortunately, it did not work like yours. Did you combine it with other ingredients other than schematic powder, which is not brittle. Thank you for explaining the formula to me.

    One of the most unusual baits I ever used was Sour Gummy Worms. I was fishing with a buddy and as he was moving to a point he kicked the tub of night crawlers into the water.
    I started joking that the bass in the lake might like something sour and rigged up a Gummy worm in bright yellow/green/blue. I caught three bass in the four-pound range and my buddy caught a five-pounder before we had to leave so I could go to work.

    cool aid has a lemon lime that would probably make an interesting worm. also cool aid has a liquid concentrate that might work. could maybe make baits darker or lighter. cool vid.

    I like the transparent crawdad (the legs and claws), it looks like the craw has molted , which many fish wait for because they are softer to eat.

      You clear dip in just regular plastisol without any color

    If I’m using pigment powder do I heat the plastisol up first and then add the pigment or add the pigment first and then heat it up?

    Have you considered using a hot plate to preheat the molds? You can control the temp with the dial and less flames than the torch.

    I've never made my own lures. This was very interesting. Using koolade and glitter for colors. I wonder if the scent/flavor of the koolade does anything to attract fish ? What if a fish attractant was added ?

    That finesse worm and longer worm is something I would throw out in the water. I think they would have success. Would love to see some kind of watermelon red similar to zooms color

    I'm pretty new to this game. I started with dead on finesse plastisol, which is pretty soft. Could you do a video on how you clean everything up? Your work space, equipment, and molds always look new. Mine's a mess already.

    you can use a torch to get rid of all the surface bubbles, just flash the top quickly and you wont get any plastic burn
