My son is starting a bait company - both live and artificial. Worst case scenario, he learns about business, economics, etc. But he has some really cool ideas that I could see being sustainable.
Your setup is very nice. A lot of this is things we've discussed so it is nice to see it all in action in real life. It's a nice setup to work towards.
Where do you get your bags made?
Hi Jeff..thanks for reaching out.
I buy my bags from China using a website called alibaba.com. Basically you do a search for "custom worm bags" and it will bring up different companies from all over the world that will make custom bags for you. The company that I landed on is: Anhui Magic Packaging Co., Ltd they make packaging for many major soft plastic brands.
It's a good opportunity for your son. It will definitely open his eyes to starting a business all the small moving parts that go into a business...things that he hasn't even thought of yet.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any other advise or guidance....always willing to help.

just ran across you page. just started my own bait company and always good to see some other perspective into the bass side since i mostly do crappie jigs.Thx
awesome bud! thanks for watching!
One tip is turn the music down or off. Check 9:40 we can't hear you over the music. AWESOME setup 👍🏼
thank you for bringing that to my attention...I wasn't even aware there was music there. I'm still kind of a rookie at this youtube gig!
Great job explaining everything. Enjoyed the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Cool video. You should make air clamp video.
Coming soon! I'm planning on making a smaller one to use when i'm only pouring a couple molds.
Great video, thank you. I appreciate the information you provided. I am looking forward to the clamp build video. Again thank you
Coming soon!
great stuff looking forward to some more stuff 👍🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲👍
Thank you William!
Nice Work!
Thank you!
Amazon and a ton of other places have luer lock bottles make sure you check the ml capacity.. with the syringe in after shaking turn the bottle upside down draw and purge a few times to burp the air out
one down fall would be making labels for each bottle after you fill it but the benefits out weigh that. screw the syringe back on use it as the cap . avoid the risk of knocking a bottle over with no cap
I use to mix e-cig liquid I've had the rubber insert seperate from the plunger causing me to punch a bottle while using a syringe in an open top bottle .shop smelt like pina colada for a few days lol
Thanks for the info. I"ll check out the luer lock bottles. Sorry to hear about the pina colada! lol!
G'day mate, I found this video extremely interesting and one I enjoyed also happy to like and subscribe and am looking forward to future videos.
Awesome, thank you! I post every friday, so look for more in the future.
Do you reuse the syringe, clean them out?
Yes, i'll use them multiple times for the same color. Eventually though they become caked up with colorant and don't operate properly
Put syringe in color push air out then draw up
Thank you! I think that was the problem...i wasn't pushing the air out before i drew the color in.
Could you share the cheat sheet?😁
Actually, I think what I'm going to do is post the formula as I'm making the bait.
@@Piratebaitcompany Thanks that will work!
Not to discredit you but these plastics melt and react with other plastics. Need to get medical grade silicone plastics that dont melt, tear or react with anything else. We make them in Australia 👌
Hi Kizzjd9578. I think you might have my products confused with another that's on the market. Pirate Bait Company products don't react with other plastics and they don't melt. They may tear from a fish strike or if you pull on them really hard. The plastisol that I use is used by all major soft plastic manufacturers with exception of one company that I'm aware of.
Thank you though for your comments

Hi @kidzzjd9578. Your comment is not correct. Sorry. all good but didn’t want people to think the wrong thing. These are good old plastisol baits that we love. You are thinking of TPE baits. Zman is TPE. Custom bait makers like pirate use plastisol which is a plasticised PVC. The reason the zman baits look like they are melting is because the of plasticiser migration from other soft plastics. Silicone is a different material again. TPE and Plastisol are both thermoplastics. Silicone is a thermoset so it won’t melt again after being vulcanised/heated once. Which is why it’s often not used in production baits.
Thank you for the additional comment! I really appreciate you clarifying.
