A Wade video. Thank God. Wade doesn't get enough credit. He only really gets credit by the objective ones that understand that LeBron needed his guidance and by the ones who only give him credit to shit on LeBron's legacy. Not a lot of people really talk about what he accomplished before the Big 3 years.

In his prime he was absolutely in par with Kobe and LeBron. At worst he was 1c to their 1a and 1b . And he did this at 6'3" (6'4" in shoes), with no meniscus in one of his knees. On an absolutely garbage team for most of his prime.

I remember being in elementary school watching the '06 Finals. It was my first finals and I was in awe of what D-Wade was doing. It felt like no one could stop him at that point. The only other times I that same feeling was with Kobe in '09 and Dirk in '11(the thing with Dirk though was the pure irony of seeing him beat the guy he lost his first finals to). I really am gonna miss Flash. End of an era.

When their roles were fulfilled in the eyes of the gods, Champions of the Realm did not pass on to the next life in the way that common men did. Rather than falling asleep and returning to the soil, they would literally fade away slowly into thin air over a period of 82 days and be reborn as wizards or ghosts shortly after. Sir Dwyane Wade, The Flashing Eagle was no exception.
During a hosted celebration at the Staples Castle in honor of Wade's transition, King Lebron James, The Lion, walked to the center of the ballroom floor and raised his chalice in a toast to the legendary knight. Hundreds of party guests formed a large circle around him before he began his speech.
"Lords and ladies, we are here tonight to commemorate the first life of a true Champion of the Realm", he said as he surveyed the crowd. Upon making eye contact with Wade, he beckoned him to enter the circle.
Wade looked down for a moment and chuckled before entering with his drink in hand. The other party guests gasped in awe as the sunlight from the lone window in the ballroom beamed through Wade's body to the ground, revealing his subtle transparency.
"Dwyane, my oldest friend, you taught me how to unite great men."
"Hear! hear!", Lord Chris Bosh cheered from the crowd, promoting a finger point and a nod from James.
"You taught me how to conquer...both warriors and women alike!", he exclaimed, sending the crowd into roaring laughter.
"Hehaha...I kid, Lady Union", James said as he gestured his chalice toward Wade's loving wife standing at the edge of the circle. He waited for the laughter to subside before taking a more serious tone.
"And above all else, you taught me how to rule, a gift an entire lifetime of gratitude could never appreciate fully..."
The King lowered his chalice a bit and extended his arm toward Wade to shake his hand one last time.
"Nor two, nor three, nor four, nor five, nor six, nor seven."
Lady Union wiped a tear from her cheek as Wade shook his best friend's hand and faded away a little more before her eyes.

Great thing about DWade, even being injured most of the time, he still played great. When lebron left, he’s back from carrying the team especially when bosh was out. I loved his performance in the 2016 playoffs. Lost in the 2nd round but damn he did his part. They think Dwade fell of early in his career but DWade set his standard too high when he was healthy and that’s the reason why if he don’t have good stats in a game, they say that he’s not that good anymore and he sacrificed a lot for that team just to be a champion. DWade is underrated.

And he'd be getting major attention for his defense too. There's also the fact that the injuries that really hampered his career wouldn't be an issue now. When Dwade got knee surgery back in the day, they opted to take out the cartilage that was causing him pain and discomfort because repairing it took a really long time. Now, they wouldn't even think of taking it out and his recovery time would also be drastically shorter. It's a shame what injuries did to hamper his prime. Same thing happened to Brandon Roy.

DWade in that finals...I'll never forget thinking, "he's the closet thing to MJ." It was an MJ performance, even though he marched to the line 20+ times a game, he was incredible. Mid-range, post ups, takes to the basket -- every time he touched the ball, you knew it was going to be a bucket and he had the "MJ Magic". It was amazing. Between that run against DET in the ECF and then coming back 0-2 to dominate that series, and his 2009 season, that's what made the top SG a three player list. Top 3 - MJ, KOBE, and DWADE.

    Let me tell you this.
I first tuned in to the nba world because of the dallas-miami 06 series.
And even though I supported the mavs at that series, I had to admit that D Wade performed legendary at that series.
And that legendary performance of D Wade made me an NBA fan.
That's why in my mind D Wade is the definition of an NBA legend.

Your point about championship teams now being built with at least 2 but typically 3-4 really good, all-star caliber players means we won’t see this sort of feat again. But even back then this would’ve been unheard of. Wade deserves a lot more recognition than he receives

From the 05-05 season to the 12-13 season, who had a better stretch over that time then Wade?
    I’ll wait.
So that’s an 8 year period where he probably had the most success of any player in the league.
He never won an MVP but that award is subjective and he easily could win in 08-09 season. Other than that he was amazing during that time.
