Tim Duncan is the most underrated superstar in history, simply because he wasn't all flashy and razzle-dazzle like the rest. He did the hard work, the unappreciated stuff that doesn't show on a stat sheet. Even then he also stuffed the stat sheet but because he wasn't out here every press conference bragging about how no one's more tired than him after the game or how he should be the MVP every year people just didn't care to notice. He'd be out there playing a calm collected game and before the other teams PF or C even noticed him getting buckets he'd have 20.
1991 Los Angeles Lakers had two hall of fame players Forward James Worthy their leading scorer Point guard Earvin Johnson who finished second in MVP voting and led the league in assists
it's all a matter of perspective, you could say Kobe won 4 of his finals when his team had 2 hall of famers and the other had 1. Duncan also won 4 of 5 vs teams with only one hall of famers, Jordans Bulls won 55 gms without him, what other 90s roster could lose there best player and do that? Lebron won 2 of his titles in the narrowest and luckiest of circumstances , could be 1-8. They're all legends and amazing players, people just get caught up trying to defend their favorite and try to diminish the competition. Player hating never ends.
A little more perspective: People love to talk about LeBron's finals record of 3-6 being bad, which is fair enough I guess. But imagine if in 2007 he failed to carry his team past Detroit and lost in the ECF. Well his finals record would be 3-5 which isn't as bad of a record right? lol how could getting to the NBA finals and losing possibly be a less successful season than failing to get to the NBA finals? LeBron detractors don't think about it this way.
Misleading information in sports is also found in what I call ‘how many times somebody is on the hightlight reel’ like why people are calling Zion greatest duke player ever when rj batter is as good if not better

Like yeah freiking 2 years after those 2 championships yeah Bynum made it to the all star team but before that he wasn't some great amazing player who provided lots of help and if that's the case then ok 2008 Finals Andrew Bynum, who's ofc according to these Kobe haters a "great player", was freiking injured so Kobe didn't play at full strength against the big 3 and Rondo led Celtics right??????
Wade is better than Scottie Bosh is better than Rodman LeBron had better teammates than MJ East is weak in this ERA Karl Malone is harder to guard than Duncan Stockton is more defensive than Curry Charles just like Karl is harder to guard than Duncan Magic is the greatest PG of all time Isiah Thomas a top 3 PG of all time And the 90s had an real defense Thunder big 3 aint at their prime when they reached the finals except for Durant LeBron got his second ring because of Ray Allen And Jordan is way way more skilled than LeBron, lets face it
People need to stop using All-Star selections and Hall of Fame acceptance as criteria for "this player was good". All Stars are picked by sportswriters, and have been since the late 70's. Every year we hear about some controversy about players getting snubbed for All Star picks, while more marketable players get attention. And as for the Hall, lots of good players won't get in, because their prime wasn't long enough, or they didn't have the fortune to play on contending teams. The thing about being on a winning team is that it magnifies your opportunities. Your team is better which makes you better; you've got to win to get win shares.
Thank you LOW, I’m tired of these guys making arguments with no context. If you dig deep into NBA history you see that many players were underrated and some would be HOFers if not for injuries

Gross LA facts bro! 90s has trash players compared to today’s players. That’s why they had to be “physical” and foul hard because they didn’t have the skill. Clyde Drexler is wouldn’t even be Terence Ross level.
@@PatriotsPride12 Not really. Scoring, both Individual and team has gone up because if the various rule changes mostly. Players adapt to the rules they play under and you have to take into account the era and rules they played under. If defense is so much better, why has scoring gone up so much? It's because the defense us more limited now. Prime perimeter players from the *90s would be just as good today if not better. I can't imagine prime Jordan being stopped with the much less physical play and no hand check. After all, he was still dropping 40 and 50 under the new rules when he was old and rusty on the wizards
Jordan went up against stockon,Malone twice. Probably one of the best duos ever in the nba. The year they faced the sonics they had GP a hall of famer and Kemp who was putting up hall a fame number and they were surrounded by great shooters.
Not to mention that GP won the DPOY the year his Sonics faced the Bulls. People also conveniently leave out how much of a struggle it was for the Bulls to even make the Finals against the Jazz for the rematch, and that the Jazz were the favorites to win. You gotta remember that the vast majority on Team LeBron were too young to have watched Jordan in his championship days, so they don't understand much of the context around those years. Either that, or they ignore it outright in an effort to boost LeBron's all time status.

Players averaging 14 pts in postseason is respectable especially when they are young. Even though Robinson was 37 yrs old and averaged 11pts doesn't mean he wasn't contributing. Tyson Chandler is doing the same thing with this Years Lakers.
Cowherd shouldn't disrespect the Jazz like that. In 1997 they had two hall of famers (one ended up winning the regular season MVP award by the way), and an all-star.

True. Parker's longevity and long list of accolades trump Rose's short and explosive prime. Rose was an MVP but Parker is a 4 time champ, top tier floor general and all around team player. Both are great in their own right tho.
One thing you missed in Colin Cowherd's argument was that the teams MJ met in the finals were not great because they had not won titles. That's the worst argument. These teams would win titles if MJ didn't defeat them in the finals.

Just enjoy the ride and worry on who topping who for the number one spot all time when LeBron is done. He hasn't set himself while playing to clearly surpass Jordan yet so we should just wait.
Johnny Smackhispetertin pistons were old and washed.
Out of 4 series, Pistons won 3.
Bulls could only defeat them AFTER Thomas had surgery and became washed. Jordan hasnr really get through Pistons
@@PatriotsPride12 Isaiah and Rodman were barely 30 and dumas was 27, definitely old. But when LeBron beats a Celtics with mid 30s pierce, garnett and Allen it's a big accomplishment. Yes Thomas just had an injury but Jordan also had some injury's
Jonathan Dowe it’s not really about lebron. You brought him up. I’m just saying Jordan beat a piston that wasn’t primed. It took him 6 years to beat him.
@@PatriotsPride12old and washed? Clearly you didn't watch or pay attention. do some fucking homework. Isiah was 29 when bulls got past em. And the other key players were 30-32. Old and washed my fucking ass. If they old and washed I guess the Spurs were super fkn old when they beat MIA ass that last time. Duncan was like 38 Stop listening to Shannon Sharpe. You will always get alternate facts.
Watched a few videos of yours now and youve earned my subscription. Great job, keep it up.
I'm even hearing some nuts people telling me on comments
Mavericks were stacked Dirk had a loaded team
While I'm trying to compare his play-off run to the cases of real loaded teams like Boston Heat Gsw Spurs LAL
Thanongrit Suriyarungka nobody has ever told you the Mavericks were stacked.
that being said, they swept Kobe’s Lakers and some experts(take their opinions however you want) had the series going 7 games, so they were by no means a pushover team.
At the time Dirk was still great player and they had many good role players. Heat on the other hand had star power in Bron, Wade and Bosh but rest of their roster wasn't that good. Not saying that Mavs were the better team because they weren't but they had pretty solid team.
@@100ovrbatmanbron7 is that crazy? people on internet say a lot of crazy stuff
mavs being stacked aint that super unimaginable
Thanongrit Suriyarungka they weren’t a stacked team, they just played very well...nobody in the world is gonna say Dirk, Jason Terry, Tyson Chandler, and old ass Jason Kidd is a stacked team. a good team that played amazing together? yes. but stacked is not the adjective i’ve ever seen used to describe them.
@@100ovrbatmanbron7 some idiots did it i testify
I had to delete social media because people just regurgitate what they hear on these sports shows. They don’t evaluate the sport themselves. Smh you got my subscribe sir. The sense is great.
Thanks for clearing up the Tim Duncan disrespect.
Really hope you keep making videos. Loved the Minnesota Timberwolves video, it perfectly explained everything 👌🏻👊🏼
Man I completely forgot David Robinson played in 2003.
People spout arguments while forgetting other aspects of the argument
They have good arguments until they start to pad it by saying shit like "Lebron beat 3 hall of famers on OKC" KNOWING none of those Hall of Famers were in their prime yet
And Lebron played with Wade and Bosh. This Colin (?) says that, like Lebron was alone, without any good players.
They weren't in their prime but they were still all-stars.
The revisionist history is funny when it comes to that OKC team... people were crowning them the next dynasty after they beat San Antonio 4 straight and then beat Miami easily in Game 1.
Then all of sudden it changed...
Jerry Cole yeah let’s stop saying that “they were young” when everyone was so quick to say they were the next dynasty, lebron was never gonna win a title, and they were the favorites, you don’t get to say that lebron’s chance at titles were over before the series, and then say they were just kids after
Kyrie and Love werent All-Stars in 2016: LEBRON BEAT A 73 WIN TEAM WITHOUT AN ALL-STAR
See what you did?
@@22BCMF what dumbass fans and media says doesnt fkn matter. What happened matters. Jesus christ lol. Facts are, they were young af. Harden. was coming off the damn bench lol. Not trying to take away from MIAs Chip that year, but the narrative is always molded to make everything lebron went through hard.
People seems to forget that Dirk beat a Miami team (and I'm a fan of the heat) with 3 Hall of Famers
Your channel is lit 🔥🔥🔥 this is the exact intelligence and consistency I look forward in NBA Debates
Parker had great individual seasons and was an amazing player from 2005-2013, dont doubt his greatness
I love how you expose idiots in the NBA community. Love the vids
This was a great arguement. Good shit!
.... For some reason and I don't know why, I always assumed Shawn Kemp was a Hall of Famer.😕
1991 Los Angeles Lakers had two hall of fame players
Forward James Worthy their leading scorer
Point guard Earvin Johnson who finished second in MVP voting and led the league in assists
Tim Duncan was an all time legend
Great vid really touched on obvious points that people rarely think about. Nice work bro 👍🏽
it's all a matter of perspective, you could say Kobe won 4 of his finals when his team had 2 hall of famers and the other had 1.
I can't finish watching this video. This video is for youngsters under 25. You are still the 2nd best basketball channel on the Tube.
Misleading information in sports is also found in what I call ‘how many times somebody is on the hightlight reel’ like why people are calling Zion greatest duke player ever when rj batter is as good if not better
This is a joke right? RJ Barrett is a shooting guard that can't shoot. Did you watch that Duke-MSU game? It essentially came down to whoever had RJ Barrett was going to lose. He's the next Wiggins.
It’s ridiculous that people make this argument. Good vid
If the 08 Cavs were so bad how come lebron played with Hall of famer shaq
That's the only time the media uses context.
lol good one
When Shaq was already washed. Shaq was done. If LeBron played with prime Shaq, they would have won multiple rings. Well at least one or two
@@airziiairzii708 it was a joke I know shaq was on his way out he aged in dog years after 06
Brandon Worthing you forget how well he was in Phoenix he age out by the time cavs and Boston had him. He scored 45 pts/11 reb one game in Phoenix days at age of 37 20/25 he average that season 08-09 18 pts/8.4 reb which is better then most 37 years old including Kobe himself that didn't last longer than Shaq.
Colin's argument was stupid then and it's still stupid hearing it today.
I need LOW to be on ESPN. He knows more than all of them combined.
Banshii you dont think espn and other news outlet did this for Jordan when he was playing? They treat jordan like a god.
Banshii if you think jordan is untouchable you didnt do your research. He just found what he was looking for to validate the opinion of jordan being a god
Banshii dude your fucking dumb. You brought up lebron and i just ignored it because you probably wanna talk about him which i dint care to do. And said low think jordan is untouchable. You wanna sound smart but actually youre a moron
Banshii by “you” i mean anyone dipshit. You cant even comprehend conversation
Love watching your videos, I always learn something!
Thanks for uploading so often now, really appreciated and makes my day
Damn, you are so dead on on this video. Just completely, 100% correct. Showing those Spurs stats just illustrated your point perfectly. Or look at the Malone, Payton Lakers. They lost in the Finals yet... all these Hall of Famers! Of course if you took Kobe's best year, Shaqs best year, Malone's best year, and Payton's best year, shit that would have probably been the greatest team of all time. But that wasn't the case.
Thank you LOW!!! I seriously freiking hate when people say "oh he was a HOFer" or "he made and all nba and all star". As a Lakers fan, I hate it the most when people use freiking "Kobe won his last 2 rings on a big 3 superteam cuz Bynum has made an all star team and an all nba team"....
I'd love the chance to respectfully debate you on this exact topic

Great content. Love what your doing.
Wade is better than Scottie
Bosh is better than Rodman
LeBron had better teammates than MJ
East is weak in this ERA
Karl Malone is harder to guard than Duncan
Stockton is more defensive than Curry
Charles just like Karl is harder to guard than Duncan
Magic is the greatest PG of all time
Isiah Thomas a top 3 PG of all time
And the 90s had an real defense
Thunder big 3 aint at their prime when they reached the finals except for Durant
LeBron got his second ring because of Ray Allen
And Jordan is way way more skilled than LeBron, lets face it
I agree to all of these things except that karl malone and chuck are better than tim duncan at scoring

Omfg! Thank you! As a laker fan Tim was the man! In wake forest and the spurs... Tim Duncan was the man... Almost kobe esk. Tim is equal to Kobe.
Bruh the reason they did not win championships s because Jordan did let them
Thank you LOW, I’m tired of these guys making arguments with no context. If you dig deep into NBA history you see that many players were underrated and some would be HOFers if not for injuries
Same bruh it’s so stupid
"Michael never beated a great team" that's cause he avoid them to be great

How they gonna say michael never beat a great team, they made the Nba finals how you gonna say the team wasnt great
Admitting that it takes a great team to make the Finals shots their claim of "LeBron takes bad teams to the Finals" right in the foot.

I like how this guy could say the most crazy, uneducated thing so confidently and have enough fact to were you believe it
Michael beat 38 Hall of Famers in the East before getting to the Finals and in the Finals including:
-Michael beat the ShowTime Lakers with 5 Hall of Famers
-Michael beat the Suns with 2 Hall of Famers
-Michael beat 2 Hall of Fame players twice with Utah and a Hall of Fame coach
Michael had 4 times tougher competition than LeBandWagon
VT 24 they were old 😂😂
VT 24 my guy..demar derozen is the GOAT if he got to play in the 90s. Bums
VT 24 Yea a fresh AIDS Magic 😂 bum
FINALLY a recommended video that is what i want. speak the truth my friend im totally subbing. GREAT VID.
Great vid as always LOW
I'm glad you shed light On Tim Duncan. Cause he gets So Disrespected because Nobody uses context
Michael had one of the greatest supporting cast and weakest competition in the 90s we can't ignore that. That applies for LBJ also.
Not true. He had some of the weakest supporting casts and most of his finals opponents had several multiple time all stars at least
The competition in the 90s was amazing. And Jordan had a worse supporting cast than LeBron does.
"MJ played plumbers LMAO"
Laughs in bad boy pistons
Yo
Tim Duncan has had a better career than LeBron , he def gets top 5 consideration
Limitless Ifinity Nah not top 5 but top ten for sure
@@panama1942 Exactly, hes up there with Shaq, Olajwoon. But, top 5 is a little too much.

Yes he was. Prime rose was better than Kyrie.
Excellent job! I thought that was such a fantastic video b/c no one in their right mind can argue with what you laid out there. No one can debate anything you said! Awesome
Sorry to say this but tony Parker was always better then Derrick rose
Can parker carry a team to the first seat by himself ????
Without duncan , jinobli and popovich's coaching system ??
I'll wait
This is dumb af
Tony Parker was a Tim Duncan baby don't kid yourself
L
wissam k yea in his prime
11:07 Drose wasn’t even at his peek yet smh we was never able to see him in his prime
That opening argument, but switch lebron with Dirk and ZERO all star help 👀
if we use shannon sharpe's arguments on that 2012 miami heat team, there were technically 3 or 4 players that are or have gotten there jerseys retired, 3 hall of famers , one of the greatest shooters of all time and a top 12 sg of all time, a top 3 sg of all time, a top 15 pf of all time, one of the best defenders to never win a dpoy, 2 all defensive talents, a sixth man of the year who was also a rookie of the year, a 3 time nba champion as well as multiple players that won 2 championships, and 6 all stars, keep in mind this is all excluding bron
This looks like the best team of all time on paper until you realize some of the "great" players mentioned above were actually james jones, joe anthony, old ray allen, old rashard lewis, udonis haslem(who will get his number retired), 39 year old juwan howard who made an all star team 17 years prior, which was the same season that mj came back from playing baseball
These arguements the analysts come up with are funny.
The thing about this is... Duncan made Manu and Tony Parker into HOFers
Was waiting for this video since I saw the thumbnail on your twitter
Did dude really just say Derrick Rose isn’t gonna make the hall of fame? You’re a silly dude
This new youtube update actually prevents clickbait. 🙏
Honestly, Derrick will probably become an HoFer. Especially if he wins 6MotY and stays constant.
Players averaging 14 pts in postseason is respectable especially when they are young. Even though Robinson was 37 yrs old and averaged 11pts doesn't mean he wasn't contributing. Tyson Chandler is doing the same thing with this Years Lakers.
I'm a newer fan of basketball so thanks for helping me understand how to combat this stupid argument.
At this point L.O.W knows basketball more than anyone ik
Cowherd shouldn't disrespect the Jazz like that. In 1997 they had two hall of famers (one ended up winning the regular season MVP award by the way), and an all-star.
Well said brother and great argument
Low you are literally the best NBA UA-camr ever like I subbed to you 3 months ago and I've never looked back
D Rose should be in the HOF in all honesty, my man missed his whole career and still came up way above your average NBA baller. He's also not done yet.
Bro that caption is pure disrespect. Tony Parker >> D Rose, there is no argument to be had.
Chris xO dude you’re delusional
@@kreativkeem6864 4 rings, a FMVP (in the same team as prime Tim Duncan), and at the helm of one of the greatest teams of all time; I love rose but his one MVP does not suddenly put him in top5 of all time for his position, thats stupid.
Where the podcast at
Those Spurs teams get a bad rap cause they were labeled boring during a low points per game defensive era point in the NBA. I ❤️ed em !!
I need help clarifying this, but I hate when people try using points from other players that aren't stars as an argument. Back then you could score less than 100 points and win games. I watched KD drop 46 the other night and lose.
