Baldur's Gate 3 - Ascended Astarion Makes 19 Attacks in 1 Turn
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- Dont need to be Astarion to do 19 attacks, just 11lvl fighter. Ascended Astation just gets 1d10 added necrotic dmg and with auto crit and arrow of many targets it can be 8d10 dmg combined per shot just with this added damage.
I needed a support to acheve that becouse cant cast Mind Sanctuary before battle. For some reason if you precast it, it lasts 3 turns irl time so 18 seconds idk why. And Perilous Strikes debuff that makes enemy vulnerable to all damage cost an action so 3 attacks for fighter. Mind Sanctuary makes so your Bonus Action are equal to Actions. So for fighter 11 lvl gets 3 attacks per bonus action thanks to Extra Attack x2. Ascended Astation gets 1d10 necrotic damage to each shot. Arrow of Many Target can bounce 3 times and it only halves the damage of piercing damage excluding Sharpshooter! So you deal FULL damage with other added dmg like this 1d10 necrotic or 1d4 Bolt of Celestial Light. I also Paralized Raphael, so every hit within 3 meters is auto crit and it spreads with Arrows of Many Target. ALL enemies get auto crit. This is just ridiculus and Its not even fully min maxed.
Just a reminder that "1 Round" is supposed to take 6 seconds in real time. Astarion is making 19 attacks in 6 seconds...
i mean... he IS a vampire... i dont know about DnD but vampires tend to be much faster than ordinary people in most media...

What's MOBA ?
The game is limited to 12 lvls. Surely things won't get out of ha-
Tbh going up to 20th level wouldn’t make it much worse (provided they didn’t include some of the more broken spells)
7th level spells would probably break the game by itself
I've killed most 3rd act bosses in 2-3 turns at lvl 11-12 on tactitian without ilithid powers, any abuse (like DRS) or multiclassing on my 1st playthrough.
I really dont see why u need more than 12 lvl so far.

its bug with arrows of many targets so nothing special just exploit video.

Fun Fact: There's a piece of lore that suggests that Strahd has a Vampire Mindflayer Hybrid locked on his basement.

On my first playthrough when I had Astarion ascend and saw he gets that extra 1-10 necrotic on attacks I knew that boy was gonna be busted
I cheesed the fight.
In Shar's caress, I attacked Raph until he teleported out. Each attack lowered his str by 1. He teleported out with -12 str. He came to the house of hope with -12 str debuff still active.
Is that cheesing? That's actually kinda genius.
@@eusuntmoldovanul6018 I only did it because Mizora scammed me first.
Without going into spoilers, she "resurrected" someone I SPECIFICALLY left alive, knocked out, on 1 hp. She "resurrected" him in camp, on 1 hp and knocked out....
So that's where I got the idea of NPC buff/debuff permanence.
Pretty sure I just knocked him down over and over again and put him in acid/ice/sludge. He got 3 attacks off the whole fight (which got counterspelled for the most part) lol
Hold Monster for 20 turns and wack a mole on his ass with Laz and Karlach ezpz
Feel like most games would not allow that kind of debuff to persist. Larian really deserves GOTY. Those saying Starfield will win it need to promptly remove their heads from Bethesda's ass.
I keep watching a ton of these '1 turn' and '2 turn' videos for Raphael and I was thinking, "What's next, 0 turns?" before I realized this room is prime barrelmancer real estate. Would have some difficulty moving that many barrels throughout the entire house since you can't return to camp at any point inside of it. Might not even be able to carry enough barrels to kill Raphael and his adds because of weight limitations, but that'd be something!
I put down 4 glyphs of warding and it did a lot of the work for me
Weight isn't an issue, just stuff the barrels in the chest of the mundane from the arcane tower. All barrels will become < 0.5 weight objects until taken back out
@@kirinashia567 Damn, nice.
this room is the starting room you spawn in when you go into hell so you could probably go to the portal teleport to camp load the hell up on barrels teleport back then place all the barrels down in the starting room because its the same room the boss fight takes place in
you can use mundane chest from arcane tower. it turns anythinh put in it into cookware and decreasing weight accordingly.
Just Astarion being the Chad that he is.
mad props for showing the build at the end
Nice demonstration! This is actually really good for going within the confines of the game (and not into exploit territory).
Maybe if they gave Ascended Astarion the Crown of Karsus he could take out Asmodeus
Oh sure, let's give the ascended vampire the most powerful magical artifact in existence, I'm sure he'll use it responsibly and not become corrupted with absolute power or anything like that.
@@ComplexityComplex I mean, at that point, why not go all in? 😉 I would rather have Ascended Astarion rule the world than any those devils and demons or Bhaal. Heck, there are so many evil gods in the Forgotten Realms and yet Faerun still exists. At least with Astarion, you can always distract him with something shiny... or a delicious cupcake, now that he can enjoy all the pleasures of the living again. Poor guy hasn't eaten properly in 200 years...
Hahah noo noo... No amount of Ascension is gonna help Astarion take down big boy Asmo, it's like asking Gale with his full power to square up to Vecna
Asmodeus is a quasi deity, he will rofl stomp you even at level 20. Even just taking his pure CR, that's level 30. He is just immune to most damage, including negative, cold, fire and poison, and resistant to everything else but light and is just immune to any spell of level 6 or lower.
He can cast many spells just at will, including fireball, chain lightning, a powerful charm, curse and animate dead , all at highest level.
He also regenerates 30 hp every round and overall can't be killed in the first place if you don't manage to conquer hell. He would just respawn there.
He's always in advantage with his saving throws against magical and can chose 5 times per day (only limited for the gameplay) to succeed no matter what.
He will also just regenerate ALL damage, including cut of limbs and any kind of magical or other effect over 3 rounds, what will also protect him from being attacked in the first place.
Oh, and beyond the other most powerful spells he can cast, he can create a zone of abslute darkness that not only takes your senses, but crushes you with 8D10 damage per round and reduce you and everything you wear to dust when you get to 0 HP in it.
He can make 5 attacks per round agains targets up to 600y away doing 50 damage on average per hit. And he can do that on top of casting a spell every round.
He can teleport at will inside the nine hells every round or outside the nine hells as far as he can see.
As a nice bonus, he can grant you a wish if you sell him your soul - and he can change the contract if it pleases him without negative effects on him.
Oh, and just standing close to him (200feet radius), will force you to make a Wisdom saving throw against 30 or you will cover in fear.
Oh and at the end of each round he gains a bonus action, wher he can:
a) start enslaving you by just looking at you (what also does 3D10 psychic damage)
b) raise a soul and giving it a new body (will always be that of a tiefling), with all its memories changed to serve him as loyal servant.
c) can call for up to 9 inhabitants of hell every round with a CR of up to 20.
d) create a giant ugly male mouth with teeth and hellfire, that acts like a portal and sucks in everyone in 60y range who does not make a wisdowm save against 25, leading to anywhere he pleases in the Nine Hells (including for example a chasm, a prison or a pool of lava).
And that's just Asmodeus on his own, not talking about all the other lords and demons of hell.
@@TF2CrunchyFrog Gods don't even have values anymore in 5e. They just annihilate you or change you in any way they please. Because, duh, the are gods.
You are a nothing burger in comparison to them, even level 20+.
And here I thought my cheesy strat with globe of invulnerability and 10 summons stacked around so noone can get in was op. Nice job mate.
globe of invuln really breaks the game lol just cheesed that all of act 3 =/
Just combine globe with guardian. If you put guardian on the edge, he'll attack whomever comes near without taking any damage himself. Worked like a charm in the Shar temple for me. :)
How do you get 10 summons? You can only summon one guardian I thought with globe
Thank you for showing your gear and what you did! That was amazing
This BGM tho... so epic. It's a masterpiece omg
Let me count for a bit.
So basically we have 4x attacks(fightet lv11+martial exertion) for each action and bonus action(mind sactuary). Regular action+haste+bloodlust elixir+action surge+bonus action+helm bonus action=24 attacks maximized 😂😂😂
I tested Martial Exertion many times it doesnt work like extra attack it just gives you 1 attack. Unless I did something wrong idk.
Martial exertion only gives one attack per turn not an extra attack per attack action
@@buffwarriors Martial excertion is the feat?
4 for regular action because of martial exertion. Then 3 for haste, 3 for elixir, 3 for action surge, 3 for bonus actions, and 3 for helm bonus actions. 4 + 3 + 3 + 3+ 3 + 3 = 19
19 attacks like the title of the video says

i just took with me the 40 kilos steelhands runic bomb, when raphael to my dismay has shown, i just were thinking that this is the perfect moment for it. And basically detonated a mini-nuke in Hell. Let me tell you. The moment when everything just explodes and takes out the pillars with it, was just fucking glorious. 10/10 would recommend.
Did the same, so fucking satisfying to watch from under a globe of invulnerability
They say Ultimate power corrupts, and in the case of the Vampire Ascendant this is definitely true. But it's also ultimate power and killing a powerful cambion in 6 seconds may make being a power crazed asshole worth it.
Unsure if it was attention to detail or coincidence, but I do like the fact that there is no more singing when the singers get killed.
Same effect if Raphael is under "silence" effect. Which means that it's not even for flavor - he is, canonically, singing his own song WHILE fighting you
the hardest part about making this video is finding a fight that can survive 19 attacks
I loved the song for this encounter.
Lore-accurate vampire ascendant.
potion of speed and bloodlust elixir is easily the dumbest combo in the game, Im glad I'm not the only one that picked up on it!
basically a fighter 11 with 3 attacks per action
got 1 action naturally, 1 action from potion, 1 action from bloodlust elixir (after killing) and 1 action from martial surge
Thats 12 attacks
Then in the mind sanctuary globe bonus action equals to usual
got 1 action naturally, 1 action from helmet
Thats 18 attacks
And 1 last attack from the martial exertion
how do u go from 1 natural + 1 potion + 1bloodlust + 1martial surge to 12 attacks i need an explanation, a detailed one.
warrior receive 3 attacks per action on the 11 level
1 action comes naturally
1 action comes from haste (from potion or spell)
1 action comes from bloodlust elixir that gives 1 action per turn when you kill enemy
last action comes from martial surge - warrior skill that gives you 1 action per short rest
in sum 4 actions that gives 12 attacks
You can do 4 attacks per actions instead of 3 (and still have actions surge) with the following build:
Gloom stalker ranger 5 for normal extra attack. plus you get an other extra attack on first round of combat.
Warlock 5 for pact weapon extra attack which stacks with other sources of extra attack (bug ?)
Fighter 2 for actions surge.
for a theoretical 25 attacks in 1 turn.
tried it, extra attacks dont stack
sadly
You only get an extra attack with the melee weapon of choice, Gloom Stalker + Warlock = 3 attacks per round / 4 attacks in the first round.
You can attack + bonus attack more times in the first round with 3 Gloom Stalker Hunter + 3 Thief Rogue + 6 Battle Master Fighter.
This gives 2 bonus attacks, 1 ambush attack, 2 main weapon attacks in the first round, and 2 main attacks + 2 bonus attacks in subsequent rounds, without accounting action surge, potion of haste or potion of bloodlust.
An Eldritch Blast build should top it with at least 20 attacks per round iirc (Warlock + Sorcerer + Fighter).
walock isn't a bug. The extra attack from that comes from your pact holder. It's a blessing. If you're already capable of swinging efficiently and quickly enough to swing twice per turn, you just get enhanced
@@Scrambingle This is not a thing in 5e - I have seen people say that Larian confirmed it _is_ a bug as there are not supposed to be any sources of stacking extra attacks, but I have not verified this statement myself. Either way, it is most definitely a mistake from a DnD perspective. Anyone using PoBlock5 or thief3 is already cheating in the context of DnD 5e.
@@pandse2806 they do stack but you need to activate the pact weapon spell

I'm currently playing deliberately sub-optimal builds and skipping content. (Entered a certain gauntlet area as a level 7) And that's actually possible and viable. Those extreme DPS builds won't face much of a challenge outside of very bad dice luck.
@@hah-vj7hc I cleaned gauntlet at lvl 7 as I didn't know you had to do it at the end. It's doable. Balthazar can be hard with all those adds if you don't have control or aoe, but otherwise it was fine.

Crazy Team Build
Four Sorcerers with 2 levels as a fighter and each Sorcerer takes a Potion of Speed or they all cast Haste on themselves.
They each cast Fireball with their Action, Fireball again with their Haste Action, Fireball again with Action Surge, then finally another Fireball using Quicken Metamagic.
In one round, you're team just casted 16 Fireballs.
That's the number of hits. It's only 5 casts. But yeah it can become crazy because there is a freecast illithid power once per long rest, but it doesn't get consumed. You know Larian and bugs. Or Larian and 5e.
@@Aldween There is also 2 staff, that can give you extra fireball and extra spell slot (arcane slot)! And you could use a scroll to cast (instead of spell slot) -- if you have enough of them saved up.
Sure, 20 attacks that do 2d6+6 damage. Raphael will still have about 50% of his health left when you're done and then wreck you. But if you insist on going that route then you want to convert all your lower level slots into Sorcery Points and then you can convert those back into level 4 slots and max level every cast. 25 attacks.
@@lsaria5998 Assuming you're getting 5 casts in one round (haste, action surge, 2 bonus actions for quicken), it'd probably be fine to just go with a storm sorc (6 more damage per cast) or lightning draconic (5 more per cast from charisma), cast create water, then unload a chain lightning and 3 lightning bolts on him with 5/4 spell slots for something like 10d8 + 29d6 + 20 (assuming 5 charisma bonus. idk if it can be higher) doubled from the wet condition. Average of like 332 damage if he fails all his saves.
Then you die lol
Or if you went with fire draconic and just did 5 casts of the highest level scorching ray it would actually be 6, two 5, two 4 spell slots that's
24(2d6+5) for 288 average damage. But if they're critting, it's obviously gonna be doubled for an average of 576.
This isn't counting any magic items that might help you and it'd only be more efficient if you used mind sanctuary, I guess.
Not that any of this is enough to match what the martials can do. They're far and away better thanks to all the busted magic items and action abilities
Edit: I am fool. I forgot that the 5 levels to get action surge and the extra bonus mean you're only a level 7 sorc so you don't get 5th or 6th spell slots.
This is much, much worse than I thought and puts casters even further behind than they were.
look up Lars Andersen, you will see this is possible for a human, much less a vampire.
Lars fires 10 arrows in 4.9 sec , so that's about 16 in 6 sec, as a normal real life human.

Yea if you did the creche in the mountain pass your illithid powers get reduced to a bonus action. With how dumb perilous stakes is having it as a bonus action is dumb. Pair ot with thief for 2 bonus actions and its just insane what you can do. we need full breakdown of this..!!! how they are missing attacks, why place that dome at that particular place/ how yo ua re able to hit multiple enemy with sinle attack......etc
What part of the game are you currently on, because some of the explanation goes into spoiler territory. (1) They're all missing because Astarion he has a really high AC. You can see at the end of the video that most of his equipment adds to Armor Class. So none of them roll high enough to hit. (2) The dome is an illithid ability called 'Mind Sanctuary' that makes it possible to do actions and bonus actions interchangeably. (3) They are using several 'Arrow of Many Targets' which deal an additional half damage to three other targets in range.
Read the description of the video for the creator's explanation.
