Portmeirion Village Stay

Join me on a whistle stop tour of a 2 day stay at Portmeirion Village in the wonderful Snowdonia region of Wales. What a unique stay. The Watch House sits high up the hill with wonderful and unrivalled views over the river Dwyryd and beyond towards the hills. The bird life certainly like to join you on the terrace and sure let you know, that you're staying in their world and not yours. The staff in the hotel are warm, welcoming and attentive without being smothering. It was nice of the hotel to put fireworks on for our stay and I'm sure the wedding party that were also there appreciated it too.

Just been there and it was magical. Bit of a problem with the steepness of walkways so just sat by the Italianate pool listening to the brass band,who were fantastic and hearing the bells. Wonderful

We went there every family holiday at Harlech in the 60’s.I always wanted to stay so did this in 2008 on a trip back with my Aussie husband. Stayed 3 nights we just loved it. We are staying again in September for our 30th wedding anniversary can’t wait 😝 ❤

We visited last week and I too was fascinated by the village and woodland. I did say to my husband I could stay there and be quite content. Thank you for your video.

So you check in at the castle when you’re staying in the village? Last time we checked in near the car park and could drive our car into the village we parked near the pool as we were in the terrace house near the hotel.

Yes. We've had to do the same thing. Check in at the barrier then park in a designated spot. All change now. Check in at the upper hotel and get bussed to your room. Car free now.
