That's good to hear. Some of the negative videos had me concerned about leaks. That's one reason I agreed to wait for the newer version to be released before receiving mine. I have to say, so far it has done very well.
Sounds great! I love the Gen II upgrade on both of our rigs has been fantastic, much improved over the EJK first gen EFI. I was riding today thinking "WOW, this thing is running smooth and sounds great" of course, I probably shouldn't have said that. :-)
@@GoneUraling If I didn't see your video on your bike with the Gen ll on your bike. I would have never ordered one for my bike. So you could pretty much say I save myself a lot money in not buying a new 2020 Ural.
The one on my Retro pulled the pin off the cable at about 19,000 miles. I rode it another 4000 miles without a parking brake. The Bullet Brake I think is going to do the job nicely. My wife's rig, the cT, I will install the Bullet Brake soon and release a video on it some time in September. My wife had wanted that massive handle bar lever removed since we got it, but it worked (sort of) so I just used them. It really wouldn't be bad, if we didn't ride so much.
Thanks for making the video. Gave up on my 2015 Retro E brake first month I had it, its a sad, silly design. I just park in gear. I have never seen the bullet brake, it looks promising. Looking forward to the install video
The rear brake / parking calliper on my 2021 cT is actually the same of the shelf as on our Canam Spyder F3S my mechanic tells me but they is no problems that I’m aware of or experienced with applying park brake on it even though cable operated electrically. Interesting to look & see how it’s differently at the working end
It may be self adjusting or have some kind of strain relief. I would be curious to know how they designed it. A hard cable to an inflexible cam is not a good way to do it, I know that.
@@TheLucaseum I wonder if the electric system pulls until it reaches a certain amount of tension and stops. That would make sense and would work well. In the Ural case, if there was a tensioning spring that could allow the tension to reach a certain max then give, it would let the brake adjust so it would keep X lbs of force on it while the spring relieved the rest protecting the cable. This would have the added improvement of keeping the correct X lbs on the brake for a longer period of time. Or a ratchet mechanism like a center console parking brake.
As you found out, all being adjusted correctly and working before starting a trip, inevitably at some point during the trip, when you WANT it to work, and Sod's Law dictating you also need to stop on a hill, it won't! I ended up using a small wooden wedge that I could insert between the brake pedal lever and the underside of the footrest, that would lock the rear brake on, if I needed to get off and leave it running. Gates being a good example. 😁 I remember going into a gas station office to pay and being hooted at by another customer because my CT was starting to roll away backwards. 😱
I totally agree with you on the brake. I quit using mine at all for quite a while. Last year when I was changing the pads I was able to knock out some kind of blockage in the brake line… turns out it caused my rear pads to drag. Since knocking the obstruction out, the brake has stayed adjusted and everything works great. I like the alternative that you present and may pick one up for mine after your follow up video. The info is much appreciated! Is that a new seat pad you have? Looks good. Where did you get it? I always look forward to your videos!
I will review all 3 seat pads I've tried at some point. The latest is a sheepskin from Alaska Leather. They make one specifically cut to fit the Harley Police Solo seat, but you have to call them to get it. So far, I like it.
I never use the parking brake on my rig because I just put it in first gear. By the way can you help me I need a cylinder for a 650-year-old a 1999 if you had one I would much appreciate it
I do not, I sold all my excess about a year ago and am now starting over to collect more stuff. I'd suggest you try Gene at Holopaw Ural in FL or Terry Crawford in MI, if anyone has one they probably do.
@@GoneUraling Gene doesn't have any and Terry Crawford is looking for one for me. My cylinder to centigrated on me the middle of it is missing and so I'm stuck without a ride. Thanks anyways.
Jean finally found me a cylinder but the guy had two of them so I bought both of them to have a spare and now I just have to put them on and I can get my Euro back on the road thank God
I'm working on that. I need comments and thumbs up to keep me encouraged! My new workflow helped to make it a lot less tedious, but even with this video I have a total of 5 hours just in the production from downloading from the memory cards to finally releasing the video Public on UA-cam.

Cool thanks for the informative video. Just ordered one for my 2017 Patrol. And got the Gen ll EFI kit for my Ural too.👍👍👍

I have a 2019 Gearup and I have the Bullet brake on my bike and it is a game changer. A great addition for the $105 that it costs.
I agree, used it today during lunch without having to think about it. It is starting to feel natural to use.
I gave up on the factory parking brake on my '19 almost immediately. Love my Bullet Brake!

Best information videos,,,,,thanks!!!
You are most welcome!
Do you happen to have a video on removing the OE parking brake?
Good job! What grips do you have on the retro? They look nice, thanks!
Those are Biltwell Renegade 7/8" TPV Grips. Used them on both rigs. I like the larger grip size over OE.
Did you just buy the standard BB01? Any special additional parts needed?
Yes, it is the BB-01, nothing extra was needed, install was quick and easy-ish. Only problem was the OE banjo bolt was very very tight.
