I have one on my 2018 gear up. It stopped working after 20 months. I emailed the company regarding the failure. They immediately got back to me and wanted to know what color it was. Black or silver. They said they will mail me out a new one immediately,no cost to me. Fantastic customer service. Highly recommend this product
That's good to know. They released a new version of it in May or June, and I have the new version. Hoping that means these have all the bugs worked out of them.
Thanks for the comment. I've been happy with both the installs to this point and have not had any trouble. My wife liked hers so much she has now informed me I'm installing heated grips on hers. I don't know what one has to do with the other, but mine is not to question why, it is to wrench on her motorcycle.
I'm thinking of buying a new '22 or '23 Ural GearUp next year if I can swing the money, and your videos are very helpful. I currently ride a '14 Honda Valkyrie and want to get in to even more trouble.
I still like the simple way they made my old Sportsman and '11 retro's parking brake work... Not a fan of it being on the handle bars like my '18 Retro... Clarence?
Thanks for the tutorial. Others have mentioned there is a noticeable "pop" sound when releasing the Bullet Brake. Have you noticed the same? Is this intended for momentary added braking while the bike is operating in neutral gear? When the bike is off, wouldn't you simply keep it in gear to keep it from rolling?
There is a pop, not bad, just louder than I'd expected. I don't notice it any longer. This is mean for short stops, i.e. leave the bike running in neutral and hop off to open a gate or get mail. When I "park" I use the reverse gear and will often engage this brake anyway out of habit. No problems with it so far on either rig.
If you remove the handlebar brake, you do have to jumper the parking brake wires on the speedo to keep it off. In my case, the Retro speedo is starting to go and lights randomly turn on and off and when I stop I'm often doing 20mph for a short while. Still works, so keeping it until it dies completely.

You make the best diy videos… nice and calm, very complete and very thorough. Great job - thanks.
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement.
I really like my Bullet brake. It works well and is added protection against gravity. Love your content thank you.

Another great review as always, informative, concise & well done

Great video. What was the brand of collar could not hear that part.
It is a Dogtra collar. It works very well.

Clarence?
Yeah, those brakes don't hold adjustment, are prone to cable breaking and just can't be relied on.

Cool
I see you're an "Airplane" fan too.
Shirley, you can't be serious!
I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.
At about 01:04 in this video:
You do not need one of those elusive 10mm sockets?
😊😊😊
Thankfully no, I keep mine locked in a vault, every time I open it I lose a few that make a break for it.

And the best part……you don’t look down and see the red light on the spedo as I ride along!

I don't use parking brakes I just dump it in first gear and leave it at that.
I picked a bad day to stop watching Ural videos.
Roger Roger. Anyone got some more glue?
