    lol well, hopefully someone gets a kick out of my dumb intro idea and the video was of some help to someone. What do you guys think about how she sounds now with the Yoshimura exhaust? Thanks again for watching and for all of the support! If you guys don't mind, please slap the "like" button on the video and throw a comment down here too to help with UA-cam's algorithm.

    The Yoshi is the best-sounding Grom exhaust, IMO.

  • @PSBEadventures

    Sounds great man! It's awesome that they include an o2 bung. The little 125 really opens up with some good exhaust. It helped my CT a ton. Thanks for the video buddy!

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 роки тому +2

      Oh yeah, it's something every exhaust manufacturer should do. I understand why they don't though as most people won't utilize it but it's a nice selling feature, I just wonder how much it adds to the overall production cost though and to see the difference and what makes them choose not to - would be interesting. lol it really is wild what a free flowing exhaust can do for these little 125s! Plus, it just makes it more fun when you're making a little racket - or should I say a lot? lol!
      Thanks for the support, as always, I really appreciate it bud...

      Maaaan, I'm jealous lol! I sooooo want that dual high mount for mine but sadly I just can't make it happen right now. Do you have an ETA on when yours is supposed to ship? I got to see and hear it in person at the Barber Small Bore event this year and it's so sick, definitely puts your Grom on another level for sure!

      @@HondaProKevin I am actually #65 in line BUT really I’m #9 to get it. Yoshimura told me that all regular paying customers will be getting theirs BEFORE dealers and distributors get theirs. I think that is awesome of them to do. I was told to expect a November ship date. I think it will be worth the wait. 👍 Plus, it gives me time to buy and install an Ohlins shock without possibly having the duals exhaust in my way during install. - That’s awesome you got to see and hear the exhaust. “Another level” is definitely what I’m going for. 🤟

    Dam 0 to 60 7 to 8 sec quicker with that exhaust nice

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 роки тому

      Sadly there were cops all around my normal spot so I had to hit a different on ramp and it did have a downward slope to it. It's definitely quicker but not that much, I wish though lol ;)

  • @xorbe2
    @xorbe2 3 роки тому +1

    Yeah I manage to shift to the same gear on my 22 Grom also, usually 2nd or 3rd. I never noticed that something might be going on funny with the GPI (gear position indicator) also!

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 роки тому

      I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having some issues. In my top speed run you can see it happen in 4th gear and then now in 2nd for this video. Part of me thinks it is more than the GPI though as the transmission let me shift to 2nd and then the GPI went haywire while the transmission wouldn't let me shift to 3rd. I don't know though lol, maybe it's just her breaking in and it'll go away... hopefully, but we'll see!

    • @xorbe2
      @xorbe2 3 роки тому

      @@HondaProKevin I posted in the forum too, but also there's this thing where the transmission occasionally glitches under -hard- full acceleration, and the power slips just for a fraction of a second, like it tried to fall out of gear, but only managed to partially slip and catch again. Or maybe the cogs actually disengage because barely caught, and re-engage in different slots, not sure.

      lol thanks man! I tried to see if I could make myself crack a smile like I did in this intro ua-cam.com/video/Fdnir6_ul24/v-deo.html and it worked lol which always makes the tedious part of editing a little more fun when you can crack a joke or two while hopefully getting someone else to crack up - at least a tiny bit. Appreciate the support, trying something new and going out on a limb is hard so the kind words are definitely appreciated bud ;)

      @HondaProKevin  3 роки тому

      I just stumbled across a couple posts about it a few days ago and have put out some feelers to a few contacts. Long story short, I would be able to say a lot more if I was still running a Honda dealership like I have for the last 15 years but the owner closed the doors a few months ago so my way of getting direct info from Honda's tech line about this is a little limited right now. I'm confident Honda will figure it out and if need be release an update / recall to fix things but I'm super curious to know just how many have been reported to Honda... I'm working on trying to find out some info though and hopefully I'll have something I can report back on soon ;)

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 роки тому

      No sir, just the exhaust but that on-ramp does have a slight downward slope to it. More so than the first one where it's stock but when I was out shooting this video it was blocked with cops so I couldn't hit the same one.
      Intake, ecu tune etc videos are coming very soon and with trips to the drag strip too so we can really see how much of a performance difference they make.
