im 55 seconds in, and let me say god damn the quality of this video is sooo amazing i had to give credit, im watching on msi gaming lap top nothing special, and it feels like im there myself, sheesh what was this shot in god eyes 10k or something haha.
Wait what? $1k difference? I thought there was only like a $200 disparity between the msrp of the bikes (yes, I know about all the extra fees that dealerships tack on, but I can't figure out how that translates to such a massive difference in TTL prices).
At least it is the case in Thailand, where both Grom and Kawasaki are made; Kawasaki is actually the more expensive one. Perhaps it is to do with the import costs of Kawasaki or because Kawasaki has not yet got the same name recognition as a reliable make. Honda just goes on and on... Although, after a fall (sliding across the road) mine wouldn't start for a while afterwards. But when it did, it ran like nothing had happened and the only sign is the scratch marks on paint of the the casket and stock exhaust. And of course the sticking out indicators were broken. (It's not been moded but thinking of getting rid of the tail fender.)
Interesting. I was thinking for a long time which one of these I would buy, but I went for Honda because of two reasons: Grom (2017 model from Thailand) was $300 cheaper and the seat is low enough for me to put both of my feet flat on the ground, whereas with Kawazaki I could only touch the ground with my touch. (I'm a shortass, so that was one important factor when choosing a bike for sitting in traffic jam for most of my commute.) P.s. There is no noticeable difference between the seats over here; if anything it is the Kawasaki that has more dipped seat.
Better and safer to have one foot on the back break, when you stop. Then you want slide backwards, if you stop on a step hill. And can prevent you from getting more hurt if another vehicle hit you from behind.

Yea ... It was founded there sooo
I didn’t know sorry m8 for offending the ace cafe
No reason to apologise 🤷🏼♂️ just something i thought you should know
Yup, Ace Cafe original location founded in England! We have the one other one in the world here in Orlando, pretty cool!
BLOCKHEAD ah sweet man
Don't forget the Smokey Mountain Crawl up here in TN. Every June we have over 1000 groms and Z's on the road. We just took ours to the Dragon. Super fun on the Dragon!!
tat2 wheelz what time of the year does this happen
You should compare a benelli tnt 135. I own the tnt 125 and they are awesome bikes 👌
Don't know anyone that owns one locally, but I'll keep my eyes peeled!
BLOCKHEAD check my bike out they have just become popular in the USA and I’m sure it could help your channel as I don’t think any big motovlogger like your self in the USA has had heir hands on it yet.
Excellent reviews! I go to Bike Nights at the Ace on Thursdays, so if I see yall out there I'll say whatsup! I'm currently on a 2007 ZX10R, but I'm tempted to scoop a Z125 as they look like a blast.
Beautiful scenery! What time of the year was this recorded? Where is this? I want to go there... Orlando?
Hey Blockhead! Great review/comparison :) I was also wondering how you got the communicator audio recorded for your vlog? Thanks and stay safe out there! :)
All I wanna know is how much is insurance (liability) for one of these?
Liability 2020 grom, 100 usd for the year in Texas
M666 how bad on insurance
do you think it’ll be for a first vehicle
Do they have a digital gas gauge on the instrument cluster or is it "been a minute since my last fill up, it probably time to get gas"?
They both have gas gages. Digital.
@blockhead what tires do you have on the Grom
The Grom looks so fun! I wonder if they would ever make a mini Bobber? I guess the Rebel 300 is smaller but it's not Grom small lol
Great Video! Im leaning toward the grom and this video made up my mind!
i was on a grom during my m2 course and it felt like i was on a clown bike. it was amazing
im 55 seconds in, and let me say god damn the quality of this video is sooo amazing i had to give credit, im watching on msi gaming lap top nothing special, and it feels like im there myself, sheesh what was this shot in god eyes 10k or something haha.
How would you say the after market is now for the z 125 now that is 4 years later?
So I’m 6’6 280 are either of these a realistic option for me
Probably would be to small
David Cowell I figured but a big guy can dream
@@biggrizzlycards3205 lol,,, you may be able to ride the Z 125 , it's a little taller it seems.
Everyone is like the grom the z, and I’m just like nice dixxon bro. Lol great video, hoping to get a couple of these soon to rip with my son
I seen you around Orlando! Love the video, looking into a Grom.
Excellent comparison blockhead ✌✌✌💪💪💪💪
Thanks!
Grom is the OG. Will forever be my pick
Getting a halo light for my z125
Kawasaki knows how to make a bike. Great comparison video
Hey @blockhead what kind of camera r u using?
Interesting. I was thinking for a long time which one of these I would buy, but I went for Honda because of two reasons: Grom (2017 model from Thailand) was $300 cheaper and the seat is low enough for me to put both of my feet flat on the ground, whereas with Kawazaki I could only touch the ground with my touch. (I'm a shortass, so that was one important factor when choosing a bike for sitting in traffic jam for most of my commute.)
Hey Blockhead, what kinda of bad end adapters are you using?
There is an abundant amount of upgrades for the z125 , taillights , fender deletes , exhaust systems, intakes, Tuners , engine bore kits
Not sure where your looking for parts , grom has more forsure , but there’s tons for the z125 as well
Do you have a website by chance
Dang, 4 years later and the Grom is 1k more out the door
Man those tires on the grom are rad what are those?
Awesome vs video 😎 plus Orlando hype woo go Grinadeers ( missed spelled sorry)
Can these be driven on a Interstate?
Do they have cruise?
What kind of head sets do you guys use?
Love the video bro that’s a awesome detailed I was not sure which one to buy but you made it clear for me I hate Honda so z125 is for me
Are they both about the same speed? And does the kawasaki have a community as big as the honda?
What’s your thoughts on the Benelli tnt125?
Chinese
yep after watching this im going to get the z125 amazing video!
I'm in orlando also do you still have the z125 mirrors?
anybody else see the green sign change at 9:30
I know this is an old video but at 5-8 and 236 I was wondering how either of these would hold up, I love nimble bikes as I ride a sporty with a 1200 kit regularly but these look
Awesome did around town
Hold up with what?
we’re about the same size and i’ve ridden my buddies grom before and it held up really well, it struggled uphill but that’s really it! never ridden a z125 but i’d imagine the same. They’re more for around town havin fun tho so it’s still worth it for sure
Great video and info guys!! What do both of these bikes cost used down in your area? Maybe like a year or so old low miles? The reason I ask my son starts to drive soon and I may surprise him with one of them I have a GXR 750 and I really want him to go riding with me and I want to help teach him and after he gets a little experience under his belt we will take a cross-country ride maybe to Vegas or something!! Thank you guys!!👍💯 BTW I started out on the Kawasaki 250 ninja!! 😂!! Lastly what are you guys using to talk to each other? Thanks bro
Yes, in the same position with my son. Plus I’m interested in how they were talking to each other and how it was recorded on to their camera.
@@toqir-dar- Senna or Cardo. Think he use a audio recorder, and makes the video on his computer.
That is not how most people start.
I think about getting a 360 cam. Because the GoPro and other action cams are so bad.
Don’t buy to much, before you done it for some years. Because is a hard job to make videos. And you probably are not going to do it much.
Even some of the people, doing it for a living. Are not making lots of them.
So don’t waste your money.
Good job bro
where did he pick up the z125 for 2800??
Love my grom but i would also love a z125!!!
Sadly it’s not available in Europe
Yeah we only have the regular Z125 and the 125 ninja.
How does a grom cost here in Europe ? Is it worth ?
Which one has the best clutch, transmission?
I get my 22 tomorrow cannot wait
This vid is good but 3yrs old. Parts availability has greatly improved for Z125.
2023 Grom or Z ???
Looking to buy one this year
Is that in orlando fl?
had a pocket rocket when i was younger im lookin at a 2017 honda
I think I have to say that anybody whose ridden alot knows what gear their in if they know their bike
