ay it certainly could have been, I do love heal herald in fractals. my heal herald build looks different to this tho it has the raid legendary armor skins.

I recently cameback to the game and made a revenant character i was planning to go for condi herald but after seeing this i will give a try before i decide thanks for sharing man.
this is music to my eyes. love seeing ppl pick gw2 up again as that was me a couple years ago but this time I just never stopped playing lmao. and rev by far my fav class it can do it all.
condi herald absolutely slaps as well tbh I've been using a condi/celestial herald for open world and wvw quite a lot lately. however I would say this power build is simpler, bursts harder, and is more beginner friendly though 😊

For gathering, I am using Dragon Stance. Quickness coming with F2+Elite (both needs to be active same time), energy is run out slightly more slow than other options which I tried and in the this video. When you mount for few second energy going back to 49. So gather->mount->gather... Just ignore the gathering animation, go to next gathering node when node name disappears.
yea the good part about dragon stance is the facets that are active when you mount up automatically activate themselves again when you dismount which is very handy. it'd use the same amount of energy as in this video though, I'm using exactly 6 points of upkeep which is the minimum required for quickness. :)
For facets 2+4 is total -6, but with facets energy run outs at ~49 seconds, and with Imposible Odds, runs outs at ~45 seconds. Probobly becase Imposible Odds has 4 energy consumption at the beginning.

@@ieatyoulol I checked some other builds and I think yours is superior for open world. First because it's super noob friendly and helps people actually getting familiar with herald and second other builds are hard to upkeep unless you have a full party, because when you don't you have to dodge more and ruin the rotation that other builds have, that's like at least 8 skills of preparation for the big hits. As you said in the beginning other builds work good in perfect conditions.

I use the Incensed Response trait, it allows you to quickly make 25 stacks of might at the start of a fight.
hell yea sounds really good for quick initial bursts. The only thing thats really stopping me from taking that trait is having to give up a bit of stab when swapping to jalis. Im a bit of a slut for stab lmao

there is a mastery that can be unlocked which was added with the latest expansion secrets of the obscure. let's you mount up in combat with a few minute cooldown 😀
Hey, iEatyouLOL I have been using this build in instance-based content (fractals/strikes). It is really fun to play since the rotation is easy and I can give quickness while dealing decent damage. I wanted to ask though, would I be missing something crucial for not taking dragon stance as a qdps into instance-based content?
hell yeah dude good to hear! that's a good question, technically you are missing out on some extra boons for your allies that will increase their damage by not taking dragon stance. if you are doing anything seriously probably should take dragon stance but yea the ease and simplicity of assassin and jalis is so handy and will get you through most content

oh lol thats pretty much my "qdps" build, yes its very good and you can use the dwarf elite to shield your allies from some mechanics too. I would use it with marauder/dragon stats to trade 10% or so dps for 50% more health.
yes a great tip for more survivability! It certainly doesnt require full berzerkers for open world but I do find this build in full berzerkers to be more tanky than average.
you can also achieve a similar result of slightly less DPS for more survivability by changing some traits in the devistation line. If you go accross the bottom (3, 3, 3) instead of through the middle (2, 2, 2) you gain immense ammounts of health stealing in combat which makes a big difference. Plus this way you can still use full berzerker gear and not have to swap it if you want to use the same build in instanced content where you should be using full berzerker stats :)
It might be a stupid question but can I run Celestial gear instead of Berserker? I know my DPS will be lower but I feel like I'm too squishy with Berskerker gear. Plus, I'm not good with making my own build, choosing runes etc.😬
I suppose you could, but I would probably reccomend changing some other things first if you want some more survivability. First thing would be some traits in the Devistation trait line, instead of going right through the middle, if you go along the bottom instead you get TONS of lifesteal in combat and when hitting enemys which helps a lot. This is at the expense of damage of course but at least you are still crit capped.
And if that is still not enough probably add some power/survivability stats instead of celestial such as marauders, soldiers, wanderers etc.
Keep in mind this build is less squishy than some others while in full berzerkers gear. Both because of traits in the Herald trait line, as well as dwarf stance having a lot of baked in survivability. I would definitely give berzerker gear a go if you havent already you might be surprised. Plus it means you could also use the same gear for DPS roles in instanced content if you ever get into that without getting new gear.

Noob question: with your gear and setup, where this extra 2409 health/219 vitality is coming from please??
I am running similar vanilla zojja's berserker gear (dragonhunter runes) + berserker trinkets + dragon backpack (mawdrey). All ascended (except staff at the moment).
No food/enhancement effects, but with reinforced armor. Stats are extremely close to yours, with only vitality(1078)/health(18372) being very off.
What am I missing please?

Usual qDPS Herald feel a bit weird after Power Vindicator (faster but "more buttons, less action/damage"), however Herald would be a natural progression.
Your build would make it it easier to adjust - thank you again!

@@ieatyoulol exactly my way of thinking - power vindi is what I am mained up until now, while trying to adhere to "faster" herald.
Rune of Traveler (replaced with Dragonhunter) helped, but that is too much of a damage loss.
So, for me, Vindi is stronger with all the boons, Herald is stronger with no other supports, And open world/story/meta battles/world bosses/rifts - there are no other supports or it is very hectic. This is why I got to Herald and found your video, which is super awesome! :)
I'm thinking to play herald qdps but couldn't decide that I should play Power or Condi variant. Which one is safer to pick & stronger for solo, instanced content. And scepter looks cool, can qdps use scepter?
this video goes over the full power variant, it's very bursty and high damage with a touch of survivability coming from traits and the legend abilities. you can use it to solo hard content but you would have to play it very well and make few mistakes. if you want a tankier soloing machine, I'd recommend the power/condi (mostly condi) hybrid variant which uses full celestial gear, demon and dragon stance, and shortbow. spudzie and phandrel both have some great videos on this build, I've been thinking of making my own vid on it as well just because it's such an insanely tanky solo build that I've been loving for a while. you just wouldn't want to use the celestial build in instance group content because you will be doing low damage for a qdps.
as for scepter, it does look like a pretty hybrid weapon so perhaps it might do alright with this celestial hybrid build but I'm not sure, it seems mostly support oriented to me and best used by a healer but I'll definitely be testing it out when it's released
I know you're looking for 1 build but honestly I love both of these herald builds so much and I really think you should try both at some point.

I don't mean to do that, I just don't want to die while wondering & solo some champ events maybe also doing alright in strikes. Can power herald do that? I can't decide between condi viper and power berserker variant. Don't know which one fits my requirements.
@@yusyrock26 I mean like kill champions and harder creatures in open world. if you're doing instanced content like fractals I'd recommend the full power version. if it's for open world and you just want to be as tanky as possible go with the celestial hybrid one I linked. full vipers stats I find is not worth it as you get an almost unnoticeably small increase in damage at the expense of tons of survivability compared to celestial stats.
I'm not familiar with Herald, but what makes this core legend build better than the standard glint + shiro/jarlis quick build ? More boons = better, especially in OW, no ?
they both have pros and cons, as with any legend. For me, the main reason I enjoy going 2 core legends is for the 1 click instant quickness in either legend. In dragon stance, in order to start pulsing quickness you have to activate at least a few facets before you hit enough upkeep to proc the quickness trait.
Plus taking glint means having to give up either the amazing stability and damage reduction of jalis or the highest damage legend shiro which I also love having for its shadowstep utility for mobility.
Glint stance is certainly unmatched with sheer boon output and I use it a lot in the open world as well, but this build is more focused on ease of use, simplicity, utility. Definitely play around with many legends and see which ones you like best!

Looks like the Mad Kings Labyrinth build I used.
I used a similar one too but with dragon stance to afk pulse boons for credit and shortbow for more ranged tagging
@@ieatyoulol yep. Dragon stance bow. I tried all the different recommended builds for each class. Herald boon share is easily the best.
Does swapping Legend still prop Sigils or did they fixed it?
it was removed and then added back again in 2022. So i believe weapon swap sigils now proc on legend swap again.

How do you make a core legend herald? Herald isn[t a core profession.
the "core legend" aspect refers not to the elite spec chosen but to the fact that we are using Dwarf and Assasin stance which are both core legends, available without any elite spec. Instead of using dragon stance which is the legend only available if you are using the Herald elite spec :)
Your guide is ok, but herald is not core legend. It is HOT elite spec.
EDIT: My mistake I didn't understand your title, I tough you meant core revenant, only latter I got it that you think only on legends used, not specs.
