I think perhaps the viewer retention mindset has rotted his brain a bit. Really, the only reason to keep Jake (I think it was him and not his brother? I forgot and I’m too lazy to check) in the competition that long when that isn’t what actually happened is because he thought that Jake’s fan base would watch his content more than her fan base, so he wanted to keep Jake’s fans watching longer since there would be more of them.

They make that decision on their own. But there have been instances where they rejected the request but the celebrity/influencer actually did want to do it. It came out that lizzo was one of the celebrities that rejected however she came out on TikTok I believe and said how she never heard this and said she would have loved to be in the movie. I used to sub to her a few years ago & she spoke a lot about how her dream life is going completely off the grid living in the middle of nowhere with a vegetable patch. But I remember the way she described it made it sound like she wanted to move away & almost become a prepper or a hermit away from society in a cabin. That plus years of having chronic illness, being pushed from one doc to another without any benefit, being told by medical professionals that she was infertile when she actually wasn’t etc, I could totally see her falling down an anti-pharmaceutical/anti-vax route.
