Getting cheated on hurts. If we break up because we have diffrent lives to live or because we lost love for each other. I will understand and still want to be friends with you but if you cheat than I feel betrayed, I feel hurt, I feel lack of trust and I will never trust you again, not as a partner, not as a friend. If you lost love have the dignity to break up with that person, not drag them with you while you are with someone else.
True, I experienced both. They say no one can beat 1st love, but my first love cheated on me after 5yrs of being together. I haven't spoken to him ever since. What I cherish more is my relationship after him because even though it was just 2 yrs, that one started and ended very well.
