If Mikayla reviews it, I don’t trust it.
Same😂
Tirtir is actually a good foundation tho
I thought it was just me. Hell, at this point what is her real face????
Do you trust the other influencer? Who do you trust? I’m curious cause i don’t believe nobody no more at this point …
@@andrealein157 I think I am at a point that if any influencer “reviews” anything, I don’t trust it. I trust Amazon reviews more than influencers 😂
This is bribery, that is why it feels odd for influencers to speak against brands who gave them expensive gifts. At my workplace, receiving gifts over a certain value is considered bribery/corruption. There should be rules against this for influencers and the companies that send them PR imo
I'm glad someone said it
I feel like this is the same in almost any industry, I work at a fast food restaurant and we can't even give health inspectors a drink or it's considered bribery 😅
No seriously we need laws to set this kind of precedent for social media content
Exactly this! This is bribery pure and simple.
I have the same feeling. Giving expensive gifts to someone whose review can impact your business is just plain bribery and I don't know how people are so okay with it
Believing Makaylas reviews is like believing random scammers who dm you. lol.
Or believing those AI Facebook photos
That is such an amazing way to put it
Influencers are slowly turning their content to just a bunch of advertisements
Aren’t they just a bunch of advertisements already?
Slowly? Lol
They are literally advertisers? I mean what else do they influence you on if not what to buy or not to buy?
@@lug358they use to be a good reference for buyers so they know if a product would work on them as they use to give more information (eg. Jackie, Tati, even evil Jeffree gave good info). Now I find that cosmetic chemists have become the source for this information despite most of them not wearing makeup at all. *honourable mention: professional artists like kevikodra & hung Vanngo*
And they can’t even act
Not glamzilla pretending to be a saint😂
I was just about to say that as she sits on a lifetime supply of beauty blenders lmao
tbh i'm questioning if her story is even true or if she's just making it up to seem relatable to the situation and make herself out to be the good person lol
Every damn time. I feels like she's trying to gaslight everyone all at once 😂
Right??!!!! You read my mind 😅
She wishes she got that Birkin bag lmao
watching manny and laura finally figure it out after all these years “are they buying my affection?” like this is the first critical thought they’ve ever had in their lives, which is probably is
They’re just so dumb lol
Ok but laura also being like "i don't think ppl should come for the influencers"
Of course you dont 💅
@@someusername4129 it's like the royals fearing for their head lmao
Duhh!!!!!
Omg I wanted to leave this same comment…like girl duh?! We been done came to this conclusion 🫨
Mikayla‘s a sellout. She‘s been for a long time
Her weird fake accent alone screams liar 😂
@@Art_thecl0wnsounds like JOJO SIWA
Kim kardaSHiannnn still haunts me😂😂
And how she is still relevant boggles my mind. People are blind 🙄
Exactly!
Mikayla blocked me for calling her out ONCE in her comments so she is very aware of what she is doing
She should put a for sale tattoo on her forehead

Materialism has truly ruined society.
And speed of these micro trends have only worsened it.
My sister and I were literally having a conversation about if your going to be materialistic it's best to just be looking for money, better than having a whole bunch of random junk
Seriously, burkin has to be the absolute waste of money.
All things aside, why isn't Laura Lee still cancelled? She's THE BIGGEST hypocrite ever
Yes it has.
I'm sorry but birkin bags aren't even that pretty :')
Right!! So overrated
The cruelty of that company is disgusting too. You couldn’t pay me to carry one
some probably only like it cuz of the brand where its from and not the style
They were never pretty . Most cute bags I see ate quite affordable
It is entirely about status. The aesthetic is secondary.
Im genuinely sick of influencers shoving products in our faces. I'm just sticking to the stuff i know works 😂
Right. Same.
Blockout 2024
Gifting a Birkin to someone who reviews product should be illegal. It should IMMEDIATELY disqualify them from reviewing that brands products.
Sickening display. 🤬
Ironic cause the First Lady in Korea got cancelled for accepting a Dior bag
Not the audacity of Glamzilla... 💀
context?!?
She is mikaela's long lost sister copycat@@bataineh
glamzilla...and integrity HAHAHAH that's why i'm never consuming beauty content anymore.
Really, the only like 'beauty content creators' I watch anymore are the Welsh twins channels.
@@silentmuse6660 oh yes that's true I do watch them lol
But Laura Lee isn’t going “oh well I shouldn’t accept it”, she is just saying she shouldn’t display it
Of course. I would do the same. Obviously i cant say for laura lee or all influencers (i’m not even an influencer), but if the brand is upset that i dont post a gratitude video about the bag and took me off their PR list, then that says everything about the brand. I’d still review it as usual whether negative or positive. But a gift is a gift and i’m keeping the gift, especially an expensive one and the one i know i had been wishing for 😂
And if it were happening to you, you wouldn’t turn it away.
@@limitlessbiancayeah same! You wanna give me a luxury gift? I’ll take it, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be honest if your product sucks 🤷🏻♀️
Lol nobody is turning down a free luxury gift
If it was a thank you gift then that's fine! Keep the thank you gift just don't advertise it, they won't be getting another though - and these influencers know that now.
There will be no truthful reviews
I feel like Mikayla has completely lost touch or is losing touch with her fanbase. She is showing off these expensive gifts as if a lot of her following are probably trying to figure out how to get the cash together for a bill that is due tomorrow. That massive house she sits in wouldn't have even been possible without her following; they pretty much bought her that house. The same with brand trips, they were tacky before the pandemic and they're tacky now.
I think she lost touch with real world and forgot where she came from.
and the trying to be relatable with the crocodile tears and fake emotional displays. her and glamzilla are fighting for the top spot for fake crier constantly. its honestly so eye roll inducing...you aint meryl streep, sit down.
This situation is just as comparable to drug companies gifting physicians luxury items for prescribing their drug to many patients. (That practice is no longer accepted.) Now it’s time for the FTC to crack down on influencers receiving exorbitant gifts.
Absolutely! 🚨🚨
Literally exactly what I’ve been thinking. Another commenter talked about how they can’t even offer a drink on the house to a health inspector at a restaurant out of politeness, because it can be interpreted as a bribe. There are laws and regulations against bribery in every industry including our supreme court. We need the government to crack down on internet advertising content.
According to the FTC Mikayla would have to pay taxes on that lil Birkenstock bag. 😉
@@Fragrances_n_Fur she can't even follow FTC guidelines for proper disclosure.
Super happy for MissDarcie. I think her gift is deserved; her encouragement for new shades expanded this brand’s audience.
It actually looked beautiful on her, not so much on Mikayla. That was her shade.
Nobody deserves it try again.
These people are already super rich darcie said in a video that she grew up in a million dollar house so instead of giving expensive gifts to already privileged people it's way better to donate it
Its funny how u can pick and choose who u think deserves it lol none of these influencers deserve it get real hello wake up wee oo wee ooo 🚨
@asmamalik3032 wow! I didnt know that 😮 that's annoying to know tbh 😅
I find it so funny that a bag holds so much value to people.
An ugly bag that costed 50 dollars max to produce btw. In Italy you can get beautiful and sturdy handmade bags of real high quality leather for 100-200 euros lmao
Take me back to 2009 beauty influencers
Take me back to pre-influencer internet 😂😭
Materialism and consumerism is killing us…we need to stop
As someone who knows and has worked Darcie for a few years, here’s a few things;
1. She loves her Chanel so TirTir did their research.
2. She’s a super real person. What she is like on camera is who she is off it is the same. She’s super genuine and has been since the day I met her. She wouldn’t have said a thing about the bag if she didn’t feel like the brand put in the work to earn it.
for some reason i had a thought that she may have loved chanel in particular with how she was talking about in the video. i’m glad she’s happy and has her shade and purse
Professionally and ethically, in many occupations, accepting expensive gifts will get you in trouble, fired, and/or stripped of your license, possibly even criminal offense, depending on your position. So yes the same should apply IMO
Im so over it. Im trying to figure out which paycheck i will be able to buy a nice sunscreen to go with my makeup. 🙄
Right? They don’t care about the ones that live paycheck to paycheck on what they should endorse 🙄 not everyone can afford expensive things if anything the Marjory of people can’t
Elf has a sunscreen that’s also a primer so maybe try that? I don’t think it feels oily but I put aloe Vera gel before so idk it it affected the feel of it, I think I look more glowy with it, and they also have options to not leave a white cast, I don’t think it’s tinted but maybe I’m blind
Buy a skin 1004 Centella sunscreen
imagine if that brand donated the cost of that birkin to an animal shelter. imagine what that money would do.
Right? But everyone just wants to materialistic these days
the fact that Hermes was exposed by PETA for having factories where they're k!lling hundreds of alligators and crocodiles to make these so called birkins and people stilll fight over waiting lists to get these bags just to feel like they're special.
Or if they wanted to keep it in theme of make up donate to a beauty school in an underprivileged area or something and have mikayla come there and do some charity for press instead
EXACTLY! our society is doomed 🤮
This birkin doesnt cost shit on its own. So that money will probably be just enough to feed a cat once
Darcei literally deserves so so much… I’m watching her for literally a lifetime now. She’s the cutest soul ever
yessssss shes so amazing! I love watching her call out shade ranges
yeah but its still bribery to send her purses. its the same as mikayla getting one and ensures that even once trustworthy influencers are corrupted by bribes. but then again, none of them are truly trustworthy anymore because everyone just wants free shit and sponsorships. its a mess.
Honestly at this point,
I don't trust beauty gurus and I don't really value their recommendations or opinions
Right! What happened to tutorials? I don't care about seventeen different lipsticks or some pallets, just teach me how to do a smoky eye, preferable with less than 10 products and keep it under 1000 dollars please
@@ninadottir488SAY IT LOUDER!!!!!
Follow actual working makeup artists! We buy/use so many products to use in our professional kits that work and worth your money
The way some influencers can easily buy those expensive bags anyway.
Right, yet they are gifted them for free.
I wonder if the money they're using on these grand gifts could be distributed to the actually employees who work for these companies. I'm sure they'd love a raffle for a bag like this.
While it would be great if they could do both we have to remember that these """gifts""" are publicitary deals the company does with the influencers. Having a good rep about the company's relationship with its employees does not bring in a third of the money a viral video does. And in this economy where the market is extremely full of products and competition is so high, every expense HAS to be justified by how much it makes the company earn back, otherwise the company goes goodnight real quick.
We could argue that because this is the norm, a company doing the opposite and giving the gifts to the employees would go viral too but how do you get the news out there? You would have to pay both the gifts for the employees and the advertisment to push the news. So these companies are actually doing what's cheaper: they're maximizing the number of people who would get to know about their products while minimizing the costs.
I *hate* when Mikayla says "👁️👄👁️what is happening"...her fake freak outs grate on my nerves so bad 🤮🤮🤮 every time I hear a clip of her losing her mind over something she's not actually surprised at all about i want to sew my ears closed...I refuse to watch her at all
Did anyone else notice what Mikalaya is actually doing with those unboxing the Cartier and the Birkin. Listen carefully to what she is actually saying in the Birkin video. Remember this is Mikalaya we’re talking about and one thing we all know is sis is the queen of manipulating. Notice how she praise the brand and says things like “I’ve never received such an incredible gift” “I’ll never forget this beautiful gift that BRAND NAME gave me. Y’all she manipulating the brands! Like another one of her brands she reviews will see her Birkin video and think we need to do better. Watch I bet you I’m right about this. She is work the beauty brand system in her favor by making money, receiving free PR gifts along with luxury thank you gifts. I see what’s she’s doing
Next brand brand will send her a check to pay off her mortgage plus a Ferrari and a yacht!
Yeah, it's all bribery. And for the life of me, I can't stand Mikayla!! Never have been able to. The obviously fake facade she puts on grinds my gears. And she still had followers 😭
Not even attractive...Beauty influencer?...For Monkeys...
There's been a recent crackdown in Australia requiring influencers to have to report these received gifts as part of their taxed income.
I wonder if there's anything similar in the US.
There is
Those influencers know they’re going to be eventually replaced so they’re trying to make as much money as possible, while they’re still somewhat relevant
I trust very few influencers for this very reason. I find it quite vulgar how much stuff these people get.
Ergh. Mikayla... just goes to show if you lie for a long enough time you get rewarded.. I'm embarrassed she is a fellow gem. Most of us do not lie and have full integrity. Very few influencers I trust these days. Shame as they used to be our guides.😢😢
Right? When I saw "Gemini Icon" on the balloon, my eyes couldn't have rolled harder. We don't claim her.
those brands should be donating that money to people and communities in need
This, even if they donated to make up schools or art programmes, somethinggg
Or to their own employees. A Birkin could cover at least one holiday bonus for an employee.
Nobody cares about the “Everyman” everything is transactional. We’re just supposed to buy their products full price (or save some money with these influencers discount codes 😉) oh, capitalism.
I love Darcei and how she calls folks out without being afraid of getting kicked out of a PR list
She and Monica are the only ones I’m willing to trust
I remember when "showing off" or being a "show off" was a bad thing. Like if you did it, people really wouldnt like it and would call you out. We knew how to walk the line between being excited about something and being obnioxious. And this was in grade school. Its amazing to me that theres now and entire industry about shoeing off what you have, how privilleged you are, how pretty you are etc. Nowadays being an "influencer" (aka a show off) is an actual job.
To be clear im an older millenial.
Seriously? Glamzilla talking about having integrity? Somebody's jealous not receiving a Birkin
This was my first thought too😂 ain't no way she suddenly grew a moral compass so quickly😂😂😂
I believe the TIRTIR stories. I’m a black woman and was stationed/lived in Seoul for a few years, years ago. K-beauty has come a long way. Their foundations were always only light. Asians are as obsessed with whiteness as everybody else. When my friends and I went to get facials etc. we would always be heavily discounted or given free merch and products to try because they wanted to know how their products (face creams, makeup, tools, etc.) held up on melanated skin (long before influencers,) but these were spa/ salon high end products already on shelves. They just never get a chance to use their products on black and brown skin. Whoo, Dr Franz, Laniege, Crème Shop, Banila, Sulwhasoo… I grew to love K-beauty (A-Beauty) long before it was trendy in the States.
I'm happy for Darci because she's a sweetheart!!❤ BUT this wasn't the first time Mikayla was gifted a luxury item from a brand, and wasn't she just flown out to Korea by a brand that she kept pushing? I'm still in a camp of watching multiple reviews of products you're interested in before buying. Don't just take one influencers word for it. Mikayla seems very fake with her reviews from the small clips I've seen. Everything is either life changing or a must-have, and that fake "omg" expression. But, I also watch beauty influencers in my age range, and she's not in that bracket
These brands won't send their actual clients stuff, free gifts or discounts and do all this for these influencers.
TIR TIR gifting Darcy is valid. She was able to influence the company to extend their shade range. Mikayla...? Dont get me started...
I agree. I found myself smiling, watching Darcy opening up her bag and seeing her reaction. Mikayla ALWAYS makes me roll my eyes. I only see her content on YT clip channels. I would never follow her or go search her content.
@@jillbunny90 same here i would swipe fast whenever i see her face :-)
Giving influencers THIS much attention probably isn't healthy
It's bribery at this point. If they're so confident in their products they shouldn't have to buy reviews.
Pharmecutical companies used to give luxury goods, trips, cars to doctors and now that's illegal for a reason 😂
I'm done with TikTok. Sick of watching these fake, nobody's telling me what I should buy and then having all of their gift and good fortune being rubbed in my face. I cannot get groceries most weeks because I cannot afford it. Have no use for any of them. I do enjoy all of these informative videos! Thank you for the upload!!
Glamzilla is so full of IT!!! She's also one of the cringiest creators I've ever seen 💀
I buy products from companies, where is my brand trip or designer luxury bag?? I've always hated seeing influencers and even celebrities being gifted and given things they don't even need when the normal everyday person cannot afford.
Whenever Mikayla’s videos pop up all I hear is “look at how this company is keeping me in their pocket so I can milk my fans of their money on products I lie about so I can get these free perks”
It makes me so mad that people who don’t deserve any of these opportunities are getting them without any effort and by just lying to the faces of people who support them, while the people who genuinely work their hardest are getting nowhere near the recognition. I can think of so many deserving people but it’s just so annoyingly unfair.
Makayla loves any brand that writes her a check or sends her to Korea. Idk how anyone can watch her videos period.
I miss betheny mota era of youtube 💔
michelle pham asmr vibes
People need to recognize that tirtir is a korean brand. It's super super common in Korean culture to give gifts to business partners like that.
The idea that favorable reviews of makeup products mean a select few influencers get costly designer goods in exchange, which most of their followers don't have access to, is so bizarre. I am not a fan of the brand trips. I can even understand free PR because creators can review, test/try, or use it for giveaways, etc. But what does a Birkin do? lol That money should be put back into product development or perks for long-time customers.
Hopefully Mikayla is saving a lot of this money cause her career cannot last long with how much she is lying
If mikayla loves it, I don't buy it 😂
The Gilmore Girls scene 🥹💗
You know, I’m a corporate girly, always had worked inside big companies. And all of them prohibited with very hard rules about gifts to partners/clients that could be used to “buy” the person or change someone’s opinion about the company. In the corporate world it’s a conflict of interests…. I don’t know how it could work with beauty and brands, but it made me think.
Is this really that different from paid partnerships?
Yes & no.
It’s still sponsored, obviously, but it’s more insidious because the influencer can still claim to be “honestly reviewing this item, unpaid” when the reality is that they will lie their asses off no matter what because that’s what brings in the lavish gifts.
So, no different than not disclosing sponsored posts, but still more insidious.
@@brittneybabeee4031im not familiar with US law, but do you know if it is still illegal to not disclose their relationship with the brand even if they don't get paid directly for that review?
seconding the other comment, i think it all comes down to the honesty, and "insidious" is the perfect word to describe it- legally, paid partnerships have to be disclosed, therefore the audience (should) know about the incentive behind the review, but gifts are a bit of a grey area. a reward for good reviews while claiming they haven't been paid, making it appear more "legit" for being unsponsored even though they have reason to be positive and keep receiving things. way more manipulative imo than a disclosed partnership
as some who works in retail, this is called a "sweetheart" deal. they get what they want(good reviews, exposure to millions of people), and the sweetheart gets something nice.
it's a weird phenomenon where sometimes people don't even see the trend. they only see nice things.
Mikayla so excited about a bag she could literally buy herself 😂😂😂😂
The flexing is truly unrelatable & gross to boot
I don’t get how Mikayla is so popular. She edits the shit outta her photos. She has a new face every photo.
Mikayla needs her platform taken away. Influencers like her are making it such a mess
Those Basma blushes packaging reminds me of those Nokia phones that were all the rage when I was in like middle school lol
Working with Mikayla is a sure fire way to make sure I won’t buy a product
So happy I don’t have tik tok and I don’t worry about all this materialistic lifestyle. In the end none of these things make us truly happy.
So true
ever since i’ve deleted tiktok and stopped caring about ridiculously rich people i’ve never felt better.
That Birkin bag Mikayla was sent is so ugly lol. I'd pawn it if I got that haha.
That‘s not a Birkin, that is a Kelly. It is smaller.
the excess is revolting, but even worse is the brands are just using these influencers like tools, and they don’t even know it… or seem oblivious, thinking that buying a 10K bag is anything close to what the cosmetic company makes… just all driven by greed. Gross. 🤮
It’s called “payola”, and it’s gone on since the fifties when record labels would hopefully influence their audiences to buy the product.
Gone on way longer than that
Brands arent "being grateful" they are just doing their job and doing great marketing and social connections.
Her accent sounds like Peter Griffin.
Also I eye roll when anyone gushes about a luxury purse or item. Gtfo. People are suffering and we’re complaining about make up shades and what not. First world problems make me sick.
There are soooo many other way to show how thankful you are as a brand to a content creator that popularizes a product/the brand as a whole. Honestly, a sweet thank you note from the heart is enough. Maybe the brand sponsoring a giveaway to the creator’s audience of said product and some other goodies would be another fantastic alternative. You know what would be nice? Brands forking over $4k-$30k to those who are in debt because they currently are/have continued their education. That would mean the world to so many people!!!
Maybe I’m just cynical but it also seems like Mikayla is setting her self up to get more gifts from brands just by the way she said how happy she was. She said it was the BEST thing a brand has done for her and she’ll remember it for the REST of her LIFE-she’s so dramatic but also this might incentivize other brands to give her more so that she can say the same about them and post a ton of videos for them.
I'm disappointed in Rael. Love their sanitary products and pimple patches but this latest brand trip was just excessive, to the point of gross. Makes me not want to give them my money.
Is it only me i cant STAND hearing all of Glamzillas BREATHESSSSS
What is also funny to me is that the gifts they receive are meant to be shown, they just could keep them and say nothing but no, everything is for everyone to see
They all act the exact same as they open FREE stuff that is sooo amazing.
I was done when Mikayla when she was moaning over a Hermes shopping bag. (I didn't stay long enough to listen to what it was.).
I’ve never once watched a Mikayla video but she seems so disingenuous and greedy from an outsider perspective. Not to mention I’m on the side that can’t stand her voice. But hey live your life girl.
I never rely on a influencers review that’s fake advertisement
MissDarcei is such a real one, she's the only beauty influencer I really trust

I really wouldn't know. But the one girl who supposedly convinced a brand to expand their skin tone range for their foundations...how do we know she wasn't collaborating with the company behind the scenes all along so people would get hyped up once more shades finally released? I don't think this is what happened tbh but it makes me wonder
Why would I want to buy something from a brand knowing that the money goes towards some cartier earrings?
I'm a pro mua and tbh i called this 10 years ago, i said they will be full payed for eventlly .
Sending an influencer extra gifts because they gave a positive review is an open message. That's called bribing. "Keep giving us good reviews and there will be more where this came from" and to the people who gave honest reviews "No gifts for you". If an influencer accepted gifts, spa days, travels and all that I'm not trusting them. You got bribed sis why would I?
TBH, Mikayla is the Jojo Siwa of make up. 🤷🏼♀️
Darcei getting a Channel bag makes so much sense. Mikayla? Not so much
you know it’s bad when GLAMZILLA is the voice of reason.
At this point I think brands are deliberately launching with limited shade ranges so that they can have their viral moment and moment of redemption when they expand the range
I really wanted to buy the tir tir cushion foundation because I think it would work really well with my skin type. Now seeing all this with Mikayla I don’t think I will :(
