Great video Luis. For this 208 that was probably 2 hour engine swap done by junkyard. Many mechanics hate this engine, some of them wouldn't take this car to work on. 65k on the clock with swapped engine tells you everything. Good luck to neighbour.
@31:40 yessss! Igor, Steve Scott (#StrongerTogether), Danny Versluis (#DiagnoseDan).... how great to see everyone!! Steve is a heck of a Guinness fan, hope you didn't try keeping up. Lol One day we'll be at the same Automotive Training Event 😊 Fantastic video per usual. Mucho cariño desde 🇺🇸😊
Good fix I would refuse to work on something like this but you spent time sorting out all the problems, one small point about dialectic grease it’s non conductive and I don’t think it should be used on connectors but what do I know 😂
excellent video, don't worry about the glare, what would be good if all the car makes listed all sensors with part numbers, like what they do with fuses
"And my trouble codes are...(👀sees massive list)Jesus Christ!"🤣Yet another example of not having the full backstory about what had been done to the car(engine replaced), and having to fix so much stuff that the previous "repairers" couldn't be bothered to do properly! Nice one Luis, found it, fixed it, job done!🌟👍
16:20 greenies? GREEN CRUSTIES?? 😦....😂 Eric Obrochta calls them that. Of course his automotive electrical knowledge is way below the knowledge of LM Auto Repairs. Specialist in dealing with advanced and intermittent electrical issues 🙏
i think that the fans doesn;t turn on beause of the fact that the value of 1.4 bar with this value you can not turn the compressor on . but with the previous one 2.3 you can do it and it will be then a risk of dammaging the compressor
Just a heads up mate. Any fault logged on the engine ecu with psa vehicles will cause the fans to run continuously. It’s like a fail safe strategy to prevent over heating.
@@LMAutoRepairs yeah I’ve seen it mostly on that engine. Even a single cylinder misfire will put the fans on full nuclear mode. To the point it drains the battery.
Cowboy mechanics ...as a diyer im proud to say at least the very least i return things to the way they were before i touched the car....Nice to see the extra pesky fuel light back😂😂
With French cars, if you have an engine fault, the ecu will turn the fan on. This is a safety thing. The ecu doesn't know if the car will overheat, so it turns the fan on just in case.
43k overdue a service on facia, junkyard engine fitted and sounds like a bag of nails on start up. Oh and coolant system over pressuring, head gasket done probably caused by non engaging water pump. Radio works though 😁
That looks like a very shorty job that either the previous shop or the owner themselves did I don't know why I couldn't they put the engine in correctly there's plenty of those cars around they could have easily found the correct engine
Didn't sound like... This repair was done over 1 year ago, I have advised to recharge the aircon and if any issues to bring it back... never came back... 👍👍👍
10/10 Luis for fixing someone elses 1/2 jobs, taking pride in your work goes a long way!!
☺️
Thanks!

nice one Luis, typical no fuel in the tank !!!!!!!

Bon Dia. Spot on as always an yes I do hate it when people rebuild something and don't put it back the way it came.

Excellent works as always Luis. Always enjoy watching your video at leisure. PS: Why do they always take the car to you with level petrol ? 😊
Thanks!
Probably afraid that I will drink it...

Another beautiful fix by da man 🎉

Thanks!

Good morning Luis

Good interpretation...
Wondering if you d v just unplug the ac sensor?
Same... the car needs to see a plausible reading...

This car is famous for electrixal problems and cable problems many mechanics don’t want to touch it.
Nope you are wrong
☺️
No it's not.
So long as you understand how the BSI works, just follow the service manual…

Fuel level 2 ltr😅
If that...😅

It sounds like a AC pressure problem so is keeping the fans on Max would be my guess
☺️

Its not the fan relay resistor on the fan?

😮😮
Shouldn't run the ac while it's empty as this will destroy the pump as it has no oil for lubrication
Correct!
👍👍👍
vti worst engine ever, i have it in p308 2012 first owner second car ;)
They are "sensitive" engines...

@@LMAutoRepairsSo kinda like the EcoBoost engines then they sound like sensitive engines as well
